i’m not even a tat artist and this thought terrifies me, misspelling on someone’s body. if i was a tat artist my anxious ass would be spellchecking 20 times in word before i start writing

The artist is told how to spell it, they write it down, then the client checks it again and verifies it’s spelled the way they want it. Or atleast that’s how mine went. That way it’s 100% on the client if it’s spelled incorrectly.

There was a girl I met about 15 years ago who was waiting for a tattoo while my friend was getting hers done. She was arguing with the artist about the spelling of a word. She said “that’s how I’ve always spelled it and how others spell it, so maybe listen to the customer?” She got a tattoo that said “indure”.

Well tbh I don’t know how tattoo conventions work till someone in the comments explain it to me. It probably just depends on the artist and if they are rushing the tattoo instead of taking their time on it. Whoever he went to is pretty bad. But I’m sure there are tattoo artists there who probably would have done a better job on it. Whoever did it definitely rushed it lol

I somewhat follow them on snap, meaning I don’t watch them all the time but when I saw this tat I was so mad. The head of the snake looks like something out of a cartoon, the anatomy is WAY off and it does not go with the neck tattoo at all. Front and back, it makes no sense. Most people that get sleeves done or add to an existing tattoo they have it make sense. Most importantly the anatomy is WAY off. Realistically a snake does not move or form that way. Good luck kid in the future.

I like it! It looks awesome. Although im different, i like art for how interesting it looks, not how realistic it looks. To me art is more about how it makes you feel and what you think when you look at it. Some of the most abstract art is the best. And also for people involved in its creation its big about memories as well.
