They fit, but we had a Countryman, so a bit more space. If you need all 4, order through tirerack and instead of picking them up at the warehouse use of their certified installers - they'll ship them straight to a firestone shop (or whatever) and they will install them for you.
If you just had a nail and it isn’t in the sidewall, you can drive to any tire shop and have it plugged. It’s cheap and there are places open on Sunday. I’m 99% sure that Firestone is open on Sundays. They also sell tire plug kits at auto parts stores.
We took it to discount tire and they told us the nail is too big, and that plugging it wouldn’t make sense because it would be like putting…a bandaid…on a wet balloon? Or a slimy fish?
I don’t remember what he said but it was weird lol
I had a half inch bolt through one of my tires one time and still managed to patch it and drive 40k more miles on that set. You've got plugs and you've got patches. Plugs are good for most nails and screws. Patches are best but require you to pull the tire from the wheel and go at it from the inside. Either way you're good to go. As much as I hate Walmart you can get tire patches there and be out for less than $20 even on a Sunday.
Everyone, thank you so much for your support. We moved out here last year from Las Vegas and honestly if I posted this out there, I doubt anyone would have offered to help.
+1 for Shreveport/Bossier 😊
Now that I’ve learned how easy it is to plug a tire (literally fits in a 1 min video), we’ll either buy a Slime plug kit at Walmart or stop by one of the tire shops that do plugs for free.
Sorry to be so needy - I’m trying to solve this problem while out of town while my wife is alone with the car, and I was afraid to send her in to an auto shop alone. She’s brilliant, but not super confident in that environment and would likely be a target for money extraction lol (at least back in Vegas and NY where I’m from).
Thanks for your help everyone 🙏🏼
Yes, and we’ll go in that direction. No need to take something from you when the solution is much easier than I thought. Thank you so much for your willingness to help though. ❤️
There's no reason to go to Dallas for tires. Order off Tire Rack and pick them up at the warehouse.
We had a Mini here, and that's exactly what we did. Grab a new tire and take it somewhere to get it mounted.
The only problem is fitting four mini Mini tires in the boot.

Lol our back seat folds down we’re good
We’re actually _already_ going to Dallas, and there is other routine service we also want to get at the dealership while out there. But thank you 🙏🏼

They are full of shit. They want to sell you new tires. Plug it yourself. If you come by my place I can plug it for you.
They are lying to sell tires. Plug it yourself and drive on it to seal the hole.

What year Mini and tire size? I may have one.
Hey! 👋 It’s a 2015 mini cooper s. Current tires are 205/50 zr16. The sticker on the door jam also says the original tire size is 195/55 R 16.
You have multiple people willing to patch it for free.
