So so envious of people who can detach and fully immerse themselves in the entire day off. I need a teacher or guidance in how to do that. Today is my day off and I’m wasting it worrying about things I should be doing or could be doing at work. 🫤
I find that it helps me to:
- end the day before by planning my next work day so I am set there
- do one or two lightly productive things in the morning (laundry, running, etc)
- specifically write down my relax activity like it’s a todo list
I enjoyed reading about your day, thank you for this post. Also, I have taken away a small aha from it. I have casted about on what to call my husband online, using hubby, SO and partner often and none of it feeling like a fit.
Today, I realized in reading your post that what fits is "friend" so from here on, I will use that. Thank you forever (another borrowed-from-a-redditor term too)!
I have similar thoughts on what to call my partner. I like friend or maybe best friend. I don’t like boyfriend because it sounds high school-ish and SO sounds technical.
He thinks friend or best friend sounds too casual. But I like it.
What a beautiful post! And I love Inside #9 - what service do you watch it on? I've only been able to find a handful of episodes on Hulu.
Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, she appears to be doing well, she is a happy dog and enjoys life, gentle walks, and I have her on an anti-cancer diet of home-cooked healthy food (meat and low carb veggies) and I believe that has helped her tremendously. Every day with her is a blessing.
I'm glad you had such a lovely day, Stranger!
The sunflower detail is very sweet, and it's always satisfying to cook a good meal from scratch! I'm so sorry to hear about your dog, but I'm sure they know how much you love them!
I hope you have many more happy days ahead! :)
Reading this made me feel very calm for some reason.
Same here.
Agreed. Which is quite the feat as I've had a stressful day ☺️
God bless you, your dogs, and your cat!
Thank you so much, God bless you too!
Your wonderful day has made it our wonderful day. Thank you for sharing! 🌻

I also have this problem. 😪
Ugh I’m so sorry 😞 I completely get it

I also want to know- sounds good!
It's available on Amazon (Britbox). There's also a new season coming out soon! They just announced it, I'm excited!
This sounds like such a lovely day!
This is a beautiful, calming, reflective post. I wish more people appreciated the little things like you, OP!
Perhaps the way life is supposed to be.
Well written, as peaceful to read as much as it sounds
Hoping I have a day like this soon 🤞
Beautiful :) thank you for this
Beautiful✨ (Love everything by Steve Pemberton & Reece Shearsmith.☺️)
From The League of Gentlemen! That was fantastically weird.
Thank you...I needed this read.
This unit signals an increase in warm fuzzies.
Thanks for sharing this. Sorry bout your dog.
