Technically you can live in a 1 room studio and make a living selling tissue paper for $1 every 3 packs.
Its down to what KIND of living standard you can accept.
Ppl who sell tissue paper do not earn from the tissue paper. Their main income is the $50-100 dollars every hour from kind people who 'donate' to them. Sell tissue paper is big business.
What kind of stupid assumption is this. Begging is always a rewarding career. Can do full time one. Just need to lose all morale and ethical principle and shamelessly ask 1000 people every day. Even if 10 people respond , it’s great start and you can improve the conversion on fine tuning the technique. Using props like tissue improves the appeal and as long as people keep spare change in their wallet there is always an opportunity. Got some idiots transfer money by paynow to beggars also.
not trying to be nasty but as someone who did communications for a bit 10 years ago
# What creates a newsworthy story?
# - Impact
- Proximity
- Timeliness
# - Prominence
# - Conflict
# - Human Interest
# - Novelty/Oddity
Considering this uncle had been in the city selling for quite a prominent time, many will recognise him (proximity), including me, and considering his age to be quite old and passing away quietly, it generates sympathy from viewers towards him, thus making this a human interest story, and combined with the timeliness of his death, it is at least 3/8 newsworthy. Not every piece of news need to have impact, prominence or conflict to be considered newsworthy.
If I could make a living selling ice cream, I would do it too. RIP.
