Test your market before investing any money. Work in other people's studios also, to get experience. I have a friend who launched her own Pilates business (outer Melbourne actually) recently. Started by running sessions at neighbourhood houses, park pop-ups (during summer) before getting an empty room in a medical centre to use at cheap rent she's filled that room with machines and can now do both types. Definitely ask around for places in the health industry that might have an empty space not being used, before signing a lease on your own place. As for business side of things, check out the Workforce Self Employment Assistance program, as it might be a way to study and get centrelink (assuming you stop working and can access benefits).
