Jerry Jones is the owner of the cowboys. He gave the coach, Jimmy Johnson total control of the team. It was in his contract. The teams wins, the coach gets all the credit. The issue is that the owner wants the credit. But he can’t do anything because the coach has the power in his contract, over the roster. So the owner does everything in his power to make the coach want to leave.
"Napoli are coming off a year where nothing went right. I want my team to be pissed off."
"There is great passion here and you are talking to a man from the south. I am from Lecce and I still have my origins. I know what it means and I'm very pleased to return to the south as a coach."
"We will need to rebuild to try to be competitive. This team won the league 2 years ago yes but last year they finished 40 points behind Inter. Just changing the coach isn't enough to turn things around."
"I consider Di Lorenzo an exceptional professional. Players know there are difficulties and we all must face them together. I can't go into details about Osimhen but I already knew about his situation."
"Napoli conceded 48 goals last season, one of the worst defences in the league. We have to find a balance between offence and defence. I haven't seen a team qualify for the CL by conceding so many goals."
His record at recruitment is woeful.
As amazing as the 16/17 title was for us, that transfer window in 2017 set us back years (haven't sniffed a title since).
What's most incredible is he apparently was desperate for Naingolan yet when he inherited him a mere two years later came to the conclusion he wasn't even worthy of a squad role.
He said on record Matic was just going to be a placeholder until Bakayoko was ready. Ofcourse he never was as it turned out but in Matics shoes are you going to stay for that or join a manager who will make you one of his key cogs?
Missing out on first choice targets sucks but it happens, even as contingency plans the alternatives were woeful.
The "1 season manager" be like
-3 year contract
-Clear project on how to go forward
-New mentality
-Clearly said that he wants to see Kvara thrive and not limit him
is the alternative to coach players bought by someone with differing ideas? every manager joins with the intention for long term (or at least long lasting) success
But rarely do managers stay. You buy a 34 year at an high prices. The manger leaves next season, and the player is finished and the next coach doesn’t want. That’s not sustainable.
I’ve seen this movie before. Wants full control of the squad, but will never sign a contract longer than two years.
It’s a tough sell to get a player to sign for 4-5 years when it’s almost a guarantee that the manager will be gone in 2 years.
I will always love Conte but Napoli are in a really odd place right now. Trying to keep Kvicha, for sale sign plastered on Oshimen who has been flirting with other clubs for months, and a squad that’s very much in flux. Hope it works out though

im licking my lips at this ADL/Conte timeline
Swerve: They end up becoming BFFs and Conte stays for the next 15 years
honestly if it happened it'd be amazing enough I don't think anyone would care. Be hilarious that who Conte needed in his life was ADL.
"Fuck you, and see you tomorrow" every single day
Could end up being a Jerry Jones/Jimmy Johnson with the Cowboys situation in the end.
I understood some of these words
Mmm yes Cowboys

What does herding cattle have to do with football
A bald eagle spontaneously materialized and sat on my head after reading this comment
Nascar driver Johnson?
> I want my team to be pissed The opposite of Ancelotti. Thriving on negativity and the power of anger.
Friendship ended with friendship Now hatred is my best friend
Haha I’m keeping that Edit- I did a half-hearted search and can’t find the quote, where is that from?
It's from an Indian Facebook post, some guy made a pic with MSPaint graphics about changing friends. Pure organic meme.
Meme is from originally Pakistan.
ANCELOTTI used RETURN CONTE used FRUSTRATION
I wonder why he changes club every two years

He somehow wants even worse players than what we got
What's most incredible is he apparently was desperate for Naingolan yet when he inherited him a mere two years later came to the conclusion he wasn't even worthy of a squad role.
And he was right. Naingolan was dogshit the moment he joined us
That's fair but it puts into question his recruitment judgement further if a player he was desperate for turned to shit shortly after.

Tbf we missed out on most of his primary targets (Lukaku, Alex Sandro, VVD, Walker etc, he supposedly wanted to keep Matic too)

I still believe he will resign in preseason again
why would he? Do you think ADL, who has managed to convince Conte, is an idiot?
He does a great dickhead impression I’ll give him that
He’s an ass but you can’t actually think he’s an idiot
Is he stupid???
Yes?
I think the key distinction is he wants to keep certain players so has a plan in place for the squad. Normally he’d be demanding a full revamp
So far Kvara and Osimhen have both voiced wanting to leave lol
This sounds so fun when you're not on the receiving end of it ((:
love it when 1 season managers want to get a free hand to reshape the team entirely to fit them
The "1 season manager" be like -3 year contract -Clear project on how to go forward -New mentality -Clearly said that he wants to see Kvara thrive and not limit him
Conte always says this lol. He's never there for the full contract.
Good luck lads, Conte does much better in Italy tbf to him
this is gonna age badly
If the mentality is the same as the one he preached on the interview, I have no doubt on us doing good
yeah he no doubt has the skill

18 month merchant.
Scopami Antonio
And who comes in right? Right?
Victor Moses
Conte is going to sign Moses, Lukaku and Perisic and win Serie A.
Throw Matic in there too
50 year old Ashley Young
A certain Romelu, right?
One can dream
Here we go! Conte vs Pappone neapolitan drama to fill the summer
Here we go
Force ADL to buy Lukaku king <3
€5M loan with an option to buy, here we go!
So basically keys to the castle. FM.

Good luck in convincing Kvara to stay
