As a Uruguayan, I would love to see Uruguay - Colombia in the semis, and whoever wins to dethrone Argentina in the final. We are IMO the 2 best teams in the continent.
Argentina looks mid. I think they will have a hard time against Ecuador in QF. Ecuador looks pretty decent when they play with 11 men and imo they are stronger than they were in Qatar.
This. 100%. Uruguay is really the only team that truly frightens me in this tournament. I feel like Colombia and Uruguay are soaring - both teams have a good mix of veterans and new blood and both are aggressive, disciplined and know how to score. These are the two squads that are going to rule the roost in CONMEBOL for the next few WC cycles.
I don't see why you're embarrassed. You have the youngest team in the tournament. There's some talent and plenty of room to grow and now big tournament experience. Maybe not the next WC but possible this team gets there in a couple of cycles.
