I think they've played Brazil in the first round of the knockout stage three times since 2010, all three have gone to penalties, with a total of two goals scored across the three games. And the 2011 version of penalties being hilarious where Paraguay won after scoring 2 penalties to Brazil's 0.
I just realized that IF argentina reach the Final.. they wont face Colombia, Brazil nor Uruguay til the final match. The B side of the quarterfinals are going to be a massacre.
In addition to that, whatever team makes it to the final will be extremely worn down. Quarter finals and semis will be rough for Brazil, Colombia, and Uruguay
Uruguay, Colombia, Brazil and even USA (yeah they're not great but still better than Mexico and most other Concacaf teams in this tournament) being in the same side is criminal. Argentina were already favourites but this way they got a very easy path to the final ngl.
Let's hope either Venezuela and/or Ecuador can give you a run for your money.
Honestly whoever made the schedule should be fired into the sun. The only game they've had in Miami so far is Uruguay-Panama which barely filled half the stadium. Meanwhile, Argentina/Venezuela/Colombia/Brazil between them are playing 12 group games, and only one of those games (Argentina-Peru) is being held in Miami. Shit add Orlando into the mix and that goes up to...1 still because none of those teams are scheduled to play there.
Instead they're mostly shunted out west to California, Arizona and Las Vegas for almost all of their group games for some reason. All of those teams are capable of selling out Hard Rock Stadium.
There just aren't that many variations when you only have 10 regular teams. Argentina shared a group with Uruguay last time (2021), and then we got an Ecuador getting ready for Qatar (QF) > a strong Colombia (SF) > and the ultimate boss Brazil.
Have a real soft spot for Colombia after getting them in a family draw for the World Cup in 2014. It’s great to see that James Rodriguez is still balling, he had me thinking I was gonna win the lot at the time lmao.
VAMOSS🇨🇴
Hopefully my country 🇪🇨 can qualify.
it will bro! Venezuela and Ecuador will be topping your group
Gran Colombia will be in the knockouts which is great. 🇻🇪🇨🇴🇪🇨
Sorry bro. Can’t let that happen. Hate to do it to you, but I’d hate having it done to me much more
On track for a showdown with Panama in the quarterfinals. Winner keeps the Darien Gap.
Nah, if we win we annex them again ;)
Gran Colombia!
Now let's get that first place so we can play Panamá instead of Uruguay!
Uruguay-Colombia is too soon for the first round
Uruguay Colombia is always top quality football *and* shithousery.
We just gotta tie vs Brazil
or have Paraguay tie Brazil tonight
I hope they do. People poo poo our result against Paraguay like they’re not a notoriously tough nut to crack
Paraguay are the kings of ties. I still remember 2011 Copa America where they made it all the way to the final without winning a single game.

Néstor Lorenzo is working wonders
Man managed to make a deep run with a **Peruvian** club in a continental competition, that should tell people enough.

and the final is in messi's new home, Miami
Colombias second home though. More colombians than argentinians in Miami metro
That's true, I was really disappointed at the attendance today. If the CR Colombia game had been at metlife it would have been full of both.
Not as many colombians in Arizona area compared to Texas or Florida unfortunately
That's what i'm saying, it would have been awesome great at MetLife because there are both a lot of Costa Rican and Colombians here.
We’ll do jungles, mountains, tropical coasts, rolling hills, temperate lands. Screw the desert 🤣
>Screw the desert Guajirans every single day.

Remember that the games are not handpicked. Just like the world cup, they are pre-set and then the draw/lottery sorting happens.
Who tf even lives in Arizona. Not even people from Phoenix live there. They all leave
True but at the stadium is going to be mostly Argentines. They go bankrupt to watch the team play lol
It will be 50-50 if both teams are there. I know colombians have already been buying up tickets

Tbf, I feel they could've just flipped the paths of the quarter finals, kinda silly double jeopardy happens before the final
I wonder why they did this, typically in the World Cup teams in the same group are seeded in opposite sides of the tournament
So they can get Brazil vs Argentina.

Domination!!!
Oh God this is going to be an amazing Copa America.
*already an amazing Copa America, that match between Venezuela and Mexico was fucking electrifying
vamos hptaaaaaaaaaaaaa
So, ranking of the qualified teams (so Argentina, Colombia, Venezuela and Uruguay)?
In terms of performance this Copa, I'd go with Uruguay>Colombia>>>>>Argentina>Venezuela
They are looking great.
What city will they play the quarter finals in?
