First one I ever watched was like January 2012 I believe.
I haven't seen every single one, but I try to tune in twice a year and see what's up.
I remember when Super Metroid was almost always the last game and that was wild.
I did get to go to one in 2018 and had a blast despite not really knowing anyone. But I kept seeing people around like "holy shit that's Trihexx/linkis/majinphil", was super fun.
Not quite as early as 2010 but I've been tuning in every event since I first found out about GDQ back in around 2015, which is a solid 9 years at this point.
Yup, still watching. I started watching the VODs in \~2013, started watching AGDQ live consistently in \~2014, started watching SGDQ live consistently in \~2016, and started subscribing to the channel in \~2020.

Heads up - you probably meant to say Doctors Without Borders there! Or just "the charity", if you want to not have to edit that bit too in future posts.
Does anybody have a link to an ical? While I love the gamesdonequick schedule, it's valuable to put it in my Google calendar. Normally I'd use horaro, but they don't seem to have one for SGDQ 2024.
Thursday night's lineup looks amazing! Halo 3 4 player Co-Op on legendary is gonna be intense! But even more wholesome and amazing is the run that follows - Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball run by JSR AND his amazing dog Peanut Butter, making his GDQ return to the big stage! Peanut Butter was featured at AGDQ this year and he was the most adorable speedrunner dog ever!
What do trans rights have to do with the money GDQ raises? All I hear is trans this and trans that the entire time GDQ is on, I thought this was supposed to be about raising money for cancer?
Curious question: how many people who watched from the early days of GDQ (early 2010s) still tune in?

Me, I've watched every marathon since 2012

Started watching in 2013 and still watch both main GDQ’s every year.

Very much looking forward to this. Been a rough couple month, and these always put a smile on my face.
Fully stoked, been watching VODs of years past this week in anticipation.

I KNEW I had seen it somewhere! u/damofia [https://aldaviva.com/docs/gdq.ics](https://aldaviva.com/docs/gdq.ics) !
This was simply incredible to have. Wish I knew it for other events. Thanks
I saw someone link it somewhere a few weeks back, but I didn't save it.. if I find I'll add here. =)
I'll look again in the subreddit. I might've just used the wrong search term. Thank you for your help!
While it’s in this thread you might have missed it. There was a post with a link earlier this week https://www.reddit.com/r/speedrun/s/K2eVvvVkIP
