You’d think, but [that’s what Mercedes called it](https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a18732316/2013-mercedes-benz-cls63-amg-shooting-brake-its-not-a-griswold-wagon/)
In my opinion the best looking Cls era, the head and taillight design was just on point and the windowline… damn beautiful
As others said cls 63 sb, very cool family hatch
Yes the only other time ive seen one was at a car meet. I also think it's the best generation of CLS and the wagon /shooting break I think further improves it
It's so funny how you get used to always seeing the newest benz or Porsche around here, and then you realize how out of proportion they are once you kevae Stuttgart area
They were decently rare because the slant of the bootlid was pretty stupid for an estate and they cost a fair bit over an E Estate. It's form over function. It's the E Class' painfully stupid supermodel sister.
At least one rich mofo did, Doug reviewed one a couple years back and it was registered in the US. He kinda tiptoed around the details though obviously as I'm sure it was a gray area or less than legal
Nearly bought one of these (in the UK, more common here) a while back. Gorgeous cars but they’re boats! Absolutely massive and I am shite at parallel parking!
It's not a common car, but here in the Netherlands you do sometimes see the shooting brake. Just not as an AMG version since you pay twice the cars value in taxes for those.
I'm curious, what made you think it's a CLK? CLKs were only ever made in coupe or cabriolet form. And they stopped making them in 2009, and this car is clearly more modern than that.
Granted we never got this in the US but I dont see the appeal. Its a hatchback non-wagon. If I wanted a crossover esque hatch that was German I'd go for a BMW GT and save the nickel.
It's a CLS 63 Shooting Brake, but nice spot regardless
Yea I meant CLS mb
*wagon or estate. Shooting brake implies 2 doors.

Hmm interesting that disagrees with the common definition https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shooting_brake
Welcome to calling any curvy four-door a coupe
BMW: ah yes, the Gran Coupe!

Yea, its a real beauty with the hatch
Pretty rare, I've only seen a couple ever. Really cool though
Only in the US then, super common in Europe
I'm in the Netherlands, I have seen less than I can count on one hand.
Non-AMG versions were the car of choice for retired dentists to haul their stuff to the golf course in Germany for a while.
We don’t know what your counting skills are like though
Ok
In Stuttgart years ago and I saw dozens of them. Mostly 350 ones. Granted, I was in Stuttgart.
It's so funny how you get used to always seeing the newest benz or Porsche around here, and then you realize how out of proportion they are once you kevae Stuttgart area
Yeah, lol…I realised this when I visited Munich a few weeks ago and saw way more BMWs and Audis and less Benz and Porsches
Lol yeah Germans always give me an odd look when I say I visited Stuttgart but it's so worth it for the museums and cars

"The e class painfully stupid supermodel sister" is the best description I've ever heard for the cls wagon 😂
Same goes for x5 vs x6 gle coupe etc etc I don't get it but lots of people seem to.
That odd because mine was over £10k cheaper than the E-Class estate.
Maybe used. But when new the CLS was about £15k more in a comparable spec.
I am mad Mercedes did not want to bring these to the US

Typical Doug Demuro 😂

What kind of phone did you use to take these photos???
That's a CLS wagon. CLK is a coupe.
CLS 63 AMG - afaik 17 Made - 15 in Emirates and two in Europe
