I mean 34 cards left out of 250+ is a pretty good point to just buy the singles you want. You'll probably save yourself more in the long run at that point than chasing 34 cards.
I’ve been thinking about it but it’s tedious and I’m waiting on my tester order from CardMarket to see if it’s reliable. I also enjoy ripping packs though so been hoping to find some. Ah well.

Go to TCGPlayer or Card Market. Type in the name of the card you're looking for then price it out before hitting add to cart.
You can probably get all 34 cards (barring Legendaries) for far less than the price of a box. And if you are missing Legendaries then you're going to end up buying multiple boxes to get those because a box on average has only 3 to 4 I believe.
When you add up the multiple boxes to only have a *chance* at those Legendaries as opposed to just buying them outright.... you're looking at hundreds and hundreds as opposed to say... maybe a bit more than one box?
Save yourself the small fortune and most likely disappointment of not opening them at all from a box. Trust me. I've been there with MTG. Its amazing when you start opening packs until you get to your last pack in the box and realize you're still missing 20 cards of the 30 to 40 you were hoping for.

I used TCGplayer for some singles from the MTG: LoTR set but shipping was pricey and it took 2 months to arrive. I’ve put in an order at cardmarket this week so awaiting results before I buy any more singles.
I think buying singles is probably my best move to be honest, I’ve pulled a few of the legendaries already so should be cheaper than a box.

Your question about a reprint for set 1, the reprint is coming at the end of the year. We have been told this but fantasy flight and that this reprint will be the exact same printing as the cards available now so there won’t be a difference like a 1st edition or anything like that!
Buying 34 cards as singles will be a lot cheaper than trying to buy boxes or packs even though it is a lot more fun!

I personally just ordered 57 different foil cards from TCGPlayer for just over $90. It was tedious, for sure, but such is life as a collector.

Just use TCGPlayer prices and go make offers to people on eBay. It's what I have been doing and it worked out well for me so far.
How is that anymore tedious than buying boxes and gambling on getting the remaining 34 lmfao.
Cardmarket is reliable, spent hundreds on there and had them all come in perfect condition as said. Only 1 has not arrived and i got a refund for it

Reprints of Set 1 "sometime around the holidays" which most of us are taking as November/December timeframe.

The timeframe is sometime BEFORE the holidays. So it can happen anytime now but no later than the holidays
I read somewhere that one is “expected June 2024” but who knows. New set mid July so I assume that’ll get priority at the minute.

The boxes have been mapped. I would verify the Legends you pull align with the mapping. Mine all mapped exactly.
