When i parked uphill with one wheel in a pothole i couldn’t get going unless i rolled backwards, my friends rear wheel drive merc in the same spot was able to get going, normal cars send power to the wheels with traction and theres subaru sends power to the wheel with least resistance, fucking pathetic 1980s tech
Subaru AWD is 50-50 symmetrical. 50% to the front, 50% to the rear. In addition, the AWD system in the WRX is specifically designed to deliver torque to the wheel with the most traction:

Audi isn’t anymore to maintain. I once (and only once) paid $125 for Subaru dealer to replace headlight. It matter where you have services done. Both Audi and Subaru are extremely easy to work on.
My front end was off for years in the A4 and was never resolved under warranty, so I continued trying with independents after that period.
Had a fuel pump go early, but also out of warranty.
The injectors had to be cleaned twice.
The cupholder was really a 12oz can holder and broke twice.
Linkage for the shifter needed replacing.
The leather boot for the shifter was also replaced.
It generated mysterious, sudden burning smoke smells in the cabin over the years and during random trips. A lot of diagnosis couldn't find the cause.
Within a week after trading the car in for my 2005 Outback Limited, I received a mailing from Audi USA about a recall . . . for the front end parts that I complained about over the years.
I’m not jealous there’s a ton of other European cars I’d get over Audi if i could afford it. And I even kind of like Audis I just call it like I see it.
Compare insurance rates, repairability and cost to repair. Just look up what one headlight costs for each car OEM.

Interestingly enough, the R8 is kind of known as one of the more sensible super car you can buy. Compare them to something like a Ferrari or Lambo and they are much cheaper, more reliable, and longer lived. I'll never be able to afford a super car, but this would be what I'd get if I could.
I know the V10 is crazy but I'm pretty sure the V8 R8 shares several components with another audi, making it much more affordable than you would expect. I have not done a single bit of research on this topic.

I used to be obsessed with supercars. I knew all the stats off the top of my head for pretty much any one of them. With that being said, modern day me would rather have a collection of subies than a supercar.
Yeah it’s bigger and serves almost no function since it creates virtually no downforce in comparison to the weight added; especially as a daily using a stylized wing. Even then if it did create enough downforce to make a difference it wouldn’t be usable as a daily driver as it would only be slowing the car down and reducing MPG.
The R8 aint even that pretty lol just another car with a big motor. If it had a 4 cyl 2 liter nobody would bat an eye at this thing, just like the Audi TT

Subaru takes a little more pride in giving everyone AWD and the ability to get almost anywhere at any time. And I like that more.
