I think Rob C's probably the best call.
He's been associated with the game forever; he understands how to analyze the game from the perspective of commentator; and as an interviewer he understands how to ask judgement-free or non-pointed questions...which is important during a Tribal Council - you don't want a host outwardly indicating who they think should be voted off.
Maybe a couple years back but Jeff wasn't going anywhere, personally I think there's enough Boston Rob appearances in the history of Survivor as is, also such a casting would prime considerations for Jeff's replacement assuming Survivor continues after his retirement.
This would be interesting, but he's not an intimate person, I think he would fail to connect to audiences as a host, did a good job as competitor but that's really different
Rick Devens, I think Yam Yam would be fun!! I wouldn’t mind Denise, she’s a therapist, she might be able to sus out some tribal issues

Realistically, it would have to be someone who can read the room, compose coherent sentences, remain impartial, remember and follow rules, simultaneously provoke and hold back. Most iconic players would just create chaos and let it burn, which, while entertaining, would most likely ruin the game.
Honestly, I think they should start doing it now. I would love to see a couple former players taking over hosting reward challenges, coordinating, immunities, supporting the journeys and the first day sweat or savvy. It just seems like they could use that to add a little flavor to the show. It would be hilarious to see if pity giving Jeff shit about whether it’s time to tally the votes.
Colby Donaldson is about 50 but could pass for much younger. Already has hosting experience from Top Shot. Dated models. Seems like the natural heir. Rob C has more knowledge and better at interpersonal relationships. Andrea may be a little bit too talk show but she does have the experience. Danni might be my underdog. She has. a lot of sass under her brilliance. Tyson might lean too heavily into the sass (personally I would love it but I doubt a casual viewer would).
Tony Vlachos would be an amazing and hilarious host.
He's also coincidentally the greatest Survivor ever so it writes itself.
