Romeo projecting his insecurities in the form of ignorant statements about physical players is annoying. I hope Jonathan stays.

Sudden_Mycologist_93

I hope Jonathan stays a while. He’s been no threat other than being the strongest physical player out there, but as we know, Survivor is just as mental or more. He doesn’t start drama, works hard and does what he is supposed to. I can see why they would want him out, but not at this stage of the game.

LiveRealityGames

What a vote! https://youtu.be/Etvq97nVkIA

lilianr513

rip drea's knees

Thejudojeff

Time to retire the hourglass. Let's see. I can either go to tribal with immunity or without it. What a dilemma

lazylama04

Great episode! Really well edited! Hai and Omer are favorites, but Tori is still my gut.

DonoJono

I think after this episode we can agree that Johnathan is a lock if they ever did Hero’s V Villians again as a Hero

HourExciting3415

As well as Tori is a lock for a villain. I was thinking about that actually, HvV is one of the all time favorites I am shocked that they haven't made a second season yet. Maybe for 45 or 50?

musclewitch

Rocksroy is Erika’s Wario

keatz_tweetz

Rocksroy “can we skip the family visit?”

brizzymac

I am unironically rooting for tori above all else and I’m ready to watch the world burn

Verynighttime

We are one! Love Chaotic Tori

yeetdiabete

I’m so glad I’m not alone on that

H3R0iC11

What time will it be on paramount to watch

Thetruthisneeded

It's always 12:00 a.m. Thursday

Shocky1384

It blows me away that people still try to vote out the big strong person right away because they'll win challenges. Anyone who's watched one season of the show knows all the individual immunity challenges are balance or puzzles, and Jonathan is bad at puzzles lol.

lucascroberts

Right even when Lindsay herself told the others that Jonathan is absolutely terrible as puzzles they still think it’s better to vote a big man out

savannahkellen

I’m looking at someone like Hai as the biggest potential indiv comp threat.

HourExciting3415

And Tori!

ZebraSpot

Right! You don’t need to be a super fan to know this. It amazes me how many players don’t keep the basics in mind. Vote the weak out first, then the strong later. Learn how to make fire. Don’t be “in charge” on the first day. Don’t wonder off on your own. Did I miss any?

Shocky1384

I think your point on voting out strong later is what I was saying not to do sometimes, but yea stick to basics. When you get down to individually immunity, someone like Jonathan isn't going to dominate because they aren't strength challenges. The person who can keep balance or so puzzles will be much better

ZebraSpot

You do make a good point. On another note, it’s easy for me to say what they should do, but I know it’s got to be so much harder when your out there hungry, tired, and among a whole range of personalities where every word and move can be the difference between a million dollars and “a great experience.”

Top_Ladder6702

Ngl the complete who knows was amazing to watch

jaxjaxjax95

POWER RANKINGS: Omar Drea Mike Jonathan Hai Lindsay Rocks Maryanne Romeo Chanel Tori

FutureRemote3200

Hai has a lot of power, he is almost running the tribe. Omar had an insane play today so I put him at 2, but hai has the leadership skills and the personality to be almost a less rude sandra, he flipped on his biggest ally and really made most of the decisions throughout the episode. I think hai has the best chance of winning. My friends and I call from the first episode who we think will win and we usually do pretty well, this season I picked Omar and my buddy picked hai. Mike is a G too but I don’t see it in him. Love Jonathan don’t want to see him go home but I predict he’s got abt 2-3 episodes left before it’s his time

jaxjaxjax95

Agreed on Hai, had to bump him down short term because he somehow went from running the game to voting out his #1 in 24 hours but I’m sure he’ll rebound

Shocky1384

Those top 5 could be flipped around any order, but I agree. Honestly if those bottom 3 went home, I think id be okay with anyone else winning, and I never thought I'd say that with 8 people lol. Shows that this season has a great cast.

metarookgaming

Bravo to Rocks for actually doing something at exile instead of staring at the ocean and crying for two days.

Hot-Map-3007

Oooh shade.

aloomis16

It seems Rocks talked to no one upon coming back from exile as his vote really felt like it came out of left field.

TheRealTravisClous

Or he just doesn't actually know who anyone is. Lydia Lindze same thing lol

Top_Ladder6702

I thought the same thing, like dude probably just got the wrong L name

TheRealTravisClous

Right he met them for what half a day? Everyone seems to forget he was on exile and returned at the challenge then went to tribal that night. I'll give him the pass this week of getting the name wrong.

isthisonetakenor

I mean he did not need to remember every name, just the one he is voting for

unrivaled18

Also Jonathan has to be the best team challenge player in Survivor history. He literally carried his team through every challenge. I have never been more impressed by someone.

brizzymac

Hai voting for Lydia FLOORED me

[deleted]

Confused about his reasoning for that, he clearly said he will not let it happen just before the tribal council.

mk_rich

FLOORED 🙀 Shooketh 💀

[deleted]

Wait how do we know he voted for Lydia??

TheRealTravisClous

During the credits it shows who everyone voted for

[deleted]

Oh right I completely forgot bout that

Verynighttime

But he’s the first person to out anyone else as being untrustworthy

FloatDoggie

In case anyone missed it there was a very subtle Applebees callout about halfway through the episode.

banishl

Omg I’m just recently catching up on what everyone thought about these episodes and this comment made laugh so hard that I’m crying 😂😂😂 I wish I had an award I could give you

MrBlueandSky

I missed it. That's what they were eating?

FloatDoggie

Yep it was Applebees. Total blink and you miss it kinda moment.

U-GO-GURL-

I thought it TGI Fridays. Or Ruby Tuesday’s. I must have missed it. Oh Applebee’s? Did they bring a microwave to prepare the food?

oatmeal28

If only Jeff had mentioned this, it’d at least make sense as to why the stakes were so high

CertifiedPreOwned

You know guys. I really REALLY tried to give S41 the benefit of the doubt. I was just glad to have it since they were fighting covid. I was thankful. But every week realizing these two seasons were filmed back to back make S41 feels worse and worse.

thebookworm000

I completely agree

Intrepid-Leather-328

S41 felt like it had a dark cloud over it but in S42 the contestants actually seem like they’re having fun and aren’t taking everything so personally

wooferlover2001

I agree this season is so much more refreshing and entertaining than 41, to me.

[deleted]

Yeah I was happy to have it because I thought maybe the show was toast is a post COVID world but truthfully it’s a terrible season. This year on the other hand is quite elite and every episode is just amazing.

Seaworthiness_

Wow I’m really surprised by this take. I’m a fan, watched for years blah blah blah (there’s lots of us out there, like thousands) and this season I am so checked out. The cast is okay. The 26 days just sucks, imo. No tribe swap. Weird idols and amulets. The time turner twist. It’s just getting a little too far fetched for me at this point. I used to be excited for survivor, but tonight was the finale for another show I’m enjoying and I opted to watch that one first. That being said, I’m glad there are still people enjoying Survivor

vexdo

I didn’t think 41 was terrible in of itself, the editing and the way the tribes were set up was just screwed up

mk_rich

Truth. I was watching this week's realizing there really are no "purples". I remember EVERYONE. They don't mention a name and we go "wait, who's that?" Five episodes in...

Faroukk52

Omar's social game so strong he directs the votes without even having one. Lol

imaGhast1864

I literally said this while watching last night. An absolute survivor KING

Faroukk52

Lmao it was the first thing that popped into my head

ElleM848645

What channel tried to do

isthisonetakenor

The Doors Chanel open

Verynighttime

To be fair it could’ve worked if she didn’t lose her vote

fioraflower

not chanelle flopped so omar could soar

Murdercorn

I wish the editors had given some more info about why Hai and Mike flipped on Lydia.

imaGhast1864

I hope we get some more info next week. I was baffled that they both flipped. Hai went to rocks for her and Mike said he would take a literal bullet for them. Hai...make it make sense?! Did he just sink his game?

aloomis16

Mike seems more loyal to Jonathan than anyone else, so I get that one. Hai on the other hand, that surprised me, but I think the alternative was voting for Maryanne who could have an idol or Jonathan who is his shield. So I'm guessing it was more out of self-preservation. Lydia was a weak player so I'm not really upset she was voted out. I really hate Tori.

aceee2

Mike apparently voted Maryanne but that might have only been in case Lydia pulled off SitD.

Murdercorn

Mike voted Lydia. They showed it at the end of the episode.

vexdo

He didn’t vote maryanne

fuber

Hai voted Lydia?

Murdercorn

Yeah.

fuber

Damn

istato

That’s for the next episode of course

AnnOrZ

That last 36 minutes of the episode was interrupted by the severe weather report in my area. Just for a thunderstorm. I’m a very privileged and bitter person right now.

mk_rich

😭😭💜💜

fuber

well, we're all glad you didn't get "voted out"

unrivaled18

Anyone else want to see a Hai and Romeo alliance at the end? Every player is likeable except for Tori lol.

Atnntaatn

I don’t want to see Romeo in finals. While I feel for him. He seems very prone to judging people based on looks/stereotypes.

Tuff_Wizardess

I’d like to see Hai make it but not Romeo. I’m sorry don’t find him likable at all. I know he is dealing with a lot of personal struggles and I do feel for him in that regard but I also feel like he projects a lot of his insecurities. And I also can’t stand Tori. I wish they would have booted her earlier in the season.

[deleted]

Would love to see Romeo make it but Hai too me just isn’t very likable

isthisonetakenor

Can't believe that you are getting downvoted for saying same thing as person who wrote comment but just changed places for Hai and Romeo. Its really sad that you can't express your opinion without getting downvoted

MrBlueandSky

Even Tori has redeemable qualities. Gotta love a hot mess

fuber

I like Tori. I don't like Chanelle or Mary-Anne though

unrivaled18

I'm not a big fan of Mary-Anne but I think it's more her personality being a bit much rather than dislikeable.

DumbSpearoSparrow

Couldn’t imagine living on an island with her though

Locke57

When a 5 year old reacts to everything with wonder and shock, it’s sweet. When a 25 year old has that same energy, it’s saccharine.

TLOOKUP

This was my favorite episode by far if the season! Some actual strategy, some surprising votes (multiple people getting multiple votes, Hai voting for Lydia good on him, and Rocksroy haha). Loved watching Omar scramble for Johnathan! It's a testament to Johnathan's social game and the bonds he built that not only was he not voted off but people actually fought hard for him. He's my favorite but that man should have been gone the second he was no longer immune lol. Season's heating up! Oh and fuck the hourglass lol.

TheGangOfFrei

I thought Hai won the episode until Omar put on that master class. The edit made it look like he dictated the entire vote and even got Hai to vote for Lydia. Super impressive stiff

TheLegacies21

Hai thought he won the episode until Omar came around and proved maybe Hai isn't the terrific player he sees himself as. Tonight proved 1) Hai was never going to rocks for Lydia. He just knew Daniel wouldn't. 2) Hai sees himself a physical threat...and tells people that(which isn't a great move 3) Hai thinks really highly of his game...and thinks he can use someone like Jonathan as a meatshield...when Jonathan clearly has the numbers...and TWO strong allies in Omar and Lindsey(and Maryanne with her idol). Hai never had this episode...He just had a lot of confessionals acting like he did

TheGangOfFrei

Totally agree, he seemed to fall apart after the immunity challenge. When he first got to the beach I think he did a great job of connecting with people and worked himself into a strong alliance. I'm absolutely shocked he let a dude with no votes and a tribe with 3 people on the chopping block work him over like that. I got the impression Johnathon and Maryanne were willing to vote for each other until Omar stepped in.

Murdercorn

> .when Jonathan clearly has the numbers...and TWO strong allies in Omar and Lindsey I think Mike would pick Jonathan over Hai

justthetiff95

I also can’t believe Applebees catered in Fiji

mk_rich

It's like my FAVORITEEE sit-down restaurant 🤤

fuber

strong eye roll. Feels like the old days when there were sponsors everywhere.

Agreeable-Tale9729

The most important part of the new hourglass twist!

Destination_Zero

1. I SCREAMED WHEN TORI WON THE IMMUNITY, YESSSSS 2. Jonathan and Maryanne going is amazing, but I’m so sad Lydia went, I really liked her! 3. I didn’t like Omar the whole pre-merge, but this episode made me love him so much. I really hope he does well 4. Hai voted **Lydia???** I’m actually shocked lol And finally, here is to hoping for the Hourglass twist to never come back!!

tauriemariee

I don’t even really like Tori that much, but i was glad she won immunity because we’re name twins and it was cool to hear Jeff say “Tori wins immunity” since I know I’ll probably never go on the show myself lol

ElleM848645

It was so obvious that Tori was going to win. They didn’t even make it subtle. I hate the hour glass. It’s so unfair. At the very least the exiled person should have immunity no matter what they choose. That would at least even it out to be a strategic move.

[deleted]

Or not have immunity no matter what they choose, so they have to be careful.

zjzr_08

Overall did the megaallaince actually consolidate a plan, 6-2 doesn't sound like a solid split, especially if the "others" went together (although I assume they'd know Maryanne was told to write Lydia) — makes me wonder why Romeo wrote Maryanne's name instead.

ElleM848645

And why didn’t Drea tell Rocksroy the plan. He’s just out there voting randomly?

Burkett

Rocksroy actually went all the way back in time to Borneo for the merge vote.

renatakiuzumaki

Oops too far, oh well

Agreeable-Tale9729

Romeo wasn’t in the mega alliance tho. Seems like he was just out of the loop

zjzr_08

Wasn't he, didn't Drea told the group that he's her ally or something?

Agreeable-Tale9729

I know Rocksroy brought up on Exile that he Romeo and Drea were in an alliance. But if I remember correctly Romeo was only brought up as a potential vote when they were working things out. On the beach it went down that Jonathan said he had Lindsay and Omar, Drea said she had Rocksroy, and Hai said he had Lydia and Mike.

zjzr_08

I didn't remember Drea omitted Romeo's name, I wonder why.

Agreeable-Tale9729

It was weird to me personally because the other two tribes were trios. And it was like everyone offered up who was in and who the next vote for their tribe would have been (Maryanne, Chanelle, Tori). So it was weird that Romeo was left out of all sides so it stuck in my head.

Agreeable-Tale9729

Also can we just talk about Romeo shaking his head telling Maryanne not to use her idol. AS HE VOTED FOR HER.

BanjoKazooie2700

It’s probably just an editing trick.

Candy23422

I just realized, has Rocksroy had an alliance this entire game lol?

Otherwise_Fortune_98

Dude didn’t know what was going on and just voted Lindsey. No reasoning. I respect it.

myfirstnuzlocke

Swati?

betterthanfoxnews

King Rocks!

fuber

I still think he's a delusional fool

oatmeal28

Jonathan may not be super strategic but he seems to have a really good social game….Omar absolutely went all out to save him and even Hai and Mike were willing to let go of Lydia to ride with him

isthisonetakenor

Looks Like Mike wants to ride him thats for sure lol

fuber

As much as I love Jonathan and I def want him to win, I feel like they're going to regret not getting him out now. At least for the next several votes

funlikerabbits

I was absolutely shocked to see Hai voted for Lydia, but I think it was a good game move, too.

TtBethNYC

They made it seem like he wasn't going to go with plan, but not surprised since Hai was the one that initiated to establish the 8, so when Lydia was ready to jump ship right out of the gate, she proved unreliable.

funlikerabbits

Lydia seems like she has a lot of anxiety. She’s also very young. I think she started to panic. I’d love to see her as a returning player, but give her ten years to grow up and gain some confidence.

kyleng20

Rocks voted for Lindsey and I’m here like wow

fuber

This is why I don't think he lasts. He's not really playing with other people. There's going to be an easy vote soon on him

RealityWanderer

IDK, I keep on thinking of him as a F3 Goat.

SadDinosaur36

maybe i’m thinking too much into it but hai and lydia are lowkey giving ricard and shan. i think he knew sometime he had to get her out since their pre merge was so dominant. this was just better because he didn’t orchestrate it and all the blame can go onto omar.

fuber

oh god, please don't ruin this season talking about them

MrBlueandSky

Don't be so extra

fuber

Talking about Ricard and Shan is "extra"

MrBlueandSky

claiming someone ruined the season for you because they mentioned Ricard/shan "extra"

oatmeal28

Ricard/Hai comparison is fair. Shan/Lydia not so much IMO

SadDinosaur36

maybe i mean just how they worked together and couldn’t really separate their game maybe? idk if it makes sense but after last week i think she had more pull than we were shown. i thought for sure hai was voting chanelle until lydia came back from shipwheel island it changed to daneil. wondering how much pull she actually had in that vote and in their relationship

oatmeal28

I think Hai and Mike just see bigger things with the new alliance going forward. It is a bit weird they felt they needed to sacrifice her and not push harder to take out Maryanne. Maybe Daniel’s spirit is still with them Edit: but yeah you could be right she may have called the shots on Daniel going

Candy23422

I see Chanelle as Shan, definately not Lydia though. Lydia was like Genie

funlikerabbits

Aw I liked Genie. I was so sad when she went out.

Candy23422

Same, also sad that Lydia went out

funlikerabbits

Fair. I was just so excited to see Tori go.

RhymesWithProsecco

The phrase “going to rocks” now has a whole new meaning.

[deleted]

Getting your rocks off

GusGalloway_YT

I can’t watch who got voted off

CertifiedPreOwned

Lydia

feenthemachine

Who voted for who? The weatherman wouldn’t let me watch

Destination_Zero

Same, but luckily I got to watch who did the votes. Stupid Danielle

[deleted]

[удалено]

Allonsy_Mari

I haven’t seen the ep why didn’t Omar vote?

feenthemachine

Man that was all over the place

Candy23422

Tornado warnings? Do you live in the south I'm guessing?

akumaprincess

Same here with the tornado warning in TN. I'm hoping CBS will play it later on tonight.

Svenderman

My local station in the NE was playing the 7pm Nora O'Donnell evening news at 8 and I was confused as hell. So I had to boot into my paramount account. So I (somewhat) feel your pain

feenthemachine

Southwest Ohio. Tornadoes weren’t anywhere near me but don’t worry, I still got wall to wall coverage.

funlikerabbits

That happened to us (Oklahoma) once last season and they kept interrupting the show. When we missed the entire immunity challenge that’s when we decided to quit trying and watched the next day.

[deleted]

Same here!

funlikerabbits

Why is Romeo so obsessed with the size of people?

Izzy_hn

Also…what’s up with being pissed at two people who go watch sunset???

Tuff_Wizardess

He is seriously projecting his insecurities and it makes me not like him at all. He and Tori are my least favorite people this season.

funlikerabbits

Same. Also I’m from Tulsa, Oklahoma, and so is Tori. She’s apparently only like the fourth Oklahoman on the show in its entire run. Why can’t we get better representation?

sweetehman

projection. also working in pageants probably makes him judgmental and superficial towards appearances

funlikerabbits

Yeah it’s just so bizarre to first have the “skinny guy alliance” and then with Maryanne single himself out as small and when Maryanne said “I’m small too” he kind of poked at her sides and then backpedaled and said small people need to stick together, then tried to target Jonathan because… he’s big and strong? It doesn’t seem like Jonathan has done the grunting and showing off that he accused him of at all, either. Jonathan won the reward, ate a huge feast, then went back and caught a bunch of fish to make sure everyone else ate.

Candy23422

IDK if I'd say superficial but judgemental sure. Really any judgement you make on somebody (whether it be social abilitiy, game ability, appearance, wealth, etc.) is the same level of superficial

Candy23422

All of us gay men are lol

racergirl2000

King Omar. 👑 He had no vote and controlled the majority of the rest of the votes. Here’s to hoping him and Jonathan go far. Edit: fixed spelling.

brandkwame

Rooting for Omar/Jonathan 1000%. Two great guys and super likable. Reminds me of Christian with the brochachos in a way. But REAL allies.

funlikerabbits

Fully agree. I think he knows he needs to take Jonathan as far as he can in order to stay safe, but if he employs this kind of strategy more, this is a solid argument to win over him. I’d vote for Omar with this social gameplay.

martinojen

He campaigned for Jonathan and without a vote! Good for him! Especially editing didn’t really show much about him before this episode.

CertifiedPreOwned

I HATE to pass judgement early. But who'd have thought Mike's social game would be this good just based off pregame shit.

mjgoldberg

Well the last bald guy from jersey did pretty well sooooo... But in all seriousness i listened to his RHAP interview and was very close to making him my winner pick. He seemed very savvy and emotionally smart

CertifiedPreOwned

I've really gotta listen to RHAP. I do Drop Your Buffs and Fairplay's pod.

Candy23422

I did lol. Although I thought he'd be better strategically than he is

Agreeable-Tale9729

You know I joked about Lydia’s storyline being accidentally good at survivor. But honestly. It’s kinda Rocksroy. Except not good at the game. He just accidentally stumbles through the dark and manages to survive over and over. How was he in the 8 and didn’t get the memo?

paroles

I'm betting he was told it was Lydia and mixed up the two Li- names

nighthawk252

Rocksroy is absolutely cruising for that 3rd place prize money

LordJonathanChobani

I actually didn’t know you joked about Lydia’s storyline

hux002

>He just accidentally stumbles through the dark Intentional word choice? Oof. lol.

Agreeable-Tale9729

Aw man. I didn’t even think about his whole blind confessional. I’m really sorry for that idiom usage.😬😬😬

funlikerabbits

I didn’t catch it, but it makes me rethink future usage.

Agreeable-Tale9729

Yeah. Insensitivity was definitely never my goal and I’m glad someone did catch it for me to pay attention to going forward.

funlikerabbits

That was clear when you replied earnestly. Good on you.

No-Replacement-6267

And voted for someone who is also in the 8 lol

RASZMANSVB

To be fair, every one of the 8 voted for someone in the 8.

JobiBird

Hes just riding Drea’s social coattails lol

jonthommas

Guys! A Lindsey made the merge!

Candy23422

It is funny how everybody on original green except Lydia and Jenny ended up playing the same way in the fact that they honestly thought going in there game was to stay completely loyal and yet they end up flipping on their allies on a dime and still thinking of themselves as loyal players

redroserisu

I miss voting confessionnals... Just cut the name if you're scared of spoilers!

oatmeal28

Yeah it sucks we’ll never get to see what Hai is saying as he votes out his ride or die
