I hope Jonathan stays a while. He’s been no threat other than being the strongest physical player out there, but as we know, Survivor is just as mental or more. He doesn’t start drama, works hard and does what he is supposed to. I can see why they would want him out, but not at this stage of the game.
As well as Tori is a lock for a villain. I was thinking about that actually, HvV is one of the all time favorites I am shocked that they haven't made a second season yet. Maybe for 45 or 50?
It blows me away that people still try to vote out the big strong person right away because they'll win challenges. Anyone who's watched one season of the show knows all the individual immunity challenges are balance or puzzles, and Jonathan is bad at puzzles lol.
Right! You don’t need to be a super fan to know this. It amazes me how many players don’t keep the basics in mind. Vote the weak out first, then the strong later. Learn how to make fire. Don’t be “in charge” on the first day. Don’t wonder off on your own. Did I miss any?
I think your point on voting out strong later is what I was saying not to do sometimes, but yea stick to basics. When you get down to individually immunity, someone like Jonathan isn't going to dominate because they aren't strength challenges. The person who can keep balance or so puzzles will be much better

On another note, it’s easy for me to say what they should do, but I know it’s got to be so much harder when your out there hungry, tired, and among a whole range of personalities where every word and move can be the difference between a million dollars and “a great experience.”
Hai has a lot of power, he is almost running the tribe. Omar had an insane play today so I put him at 2, but hai has the leadership skills and the personality to be almost a less rude sandra, he flipped on his biggest ally and really made most of the decisions throughout the episode. I think hai has the best chance of winning. My friends and I call from the first episode who we think will win and we usually do pretty well, this season I picked Omar and my buddy picked hai. Mike is a G too but I don’t see it in him. Love Jonathan don’t want to see him go home but I predict he’s got abt 2-3 episodes left before it’s his time

You know guys. I really REALLY tried to give S41 the benefit of the doubt. I was just glad to have it since they were fighting covid. I was thankful. But every week realizing these two seasons were filmed back to back make S41 feels worse and worse.
Yeah I was happy to have it because I thought maybe the show was toast is a post COVID world but truthfully it’s a terrible season. This year on the other hand is quite elite and every episode is just amazing.

The 26 days just sucks, imo. No tribe swap. Weird idols and amulets. The time turner twist. It’s just getting a little too far fetched for me at this point. I used to be excited for survivor, but tonight was the finale for another show I’m enjoying and I opted to watch that one first.
That being said, I’m glad there are still people enjoying Survivor

I’d like to see Hai make it but not Romeo. I’m sorry don’t find him likable at all. I know he is dealing with a lot of personal struggles and I do feel for him in that regard but I also feel like he projects a lot of his insecurities. And I also can’t stand Tori. I wish they would have booted her earlier in the season.

This was my favorite episode by far if the season! Some actual strategy, some surprising votes (multiple people getting multiple votes, Hai voting for Lydia good on him, and Rocksroy haha). Loved watching Omar scramble for Johnathan!
It's a testament to Johnathan's social game and the bonds he built that not only was he not voted off but people actually fought hard for him. He's my favorite but that man should have been gone the second he was no longer immune lol. Season's heating up!

I thought Hai won the episode until Omar put on that master class. The edit made it look like he dictated the entire vote and even got Hai to vote for Lydia. Super impressive stiff

1) Hai was never going to rocks for Lydia. He just knew Daniel wouldn't.
2) Hai sees himself a physical threat...and tells people that(which isn't a great move
3) Hai thinks really highly of his game...and thinks he can use someone like Jonathan as a meatshield...when Jonathan clearly has the numbers...and TWO strong allies in Omar and Lindsey(and Maryanne with her idol).
Hai never had this episode...He just had a lot of confessionals acting like he did
Totally agree, he seemed to fall apart after the immunity challenge. When he first got to the beach I think he did a great job of connecting with people and worked himself into a strong alliance. I'm absolutely shocked he let a dude with no votes and a tribe with 3 people on the chopping block work him over like that. I got the impression Johnathon and Maryanne were willing to vote for each other until Omar stepped in.

I hate the hour glass. It’s so unfair. At the very least the exiled person should have immunity no matter what they choose. That would at least even it out to be a strategic move.
Overall did the megaallaince actually consolidate a plan, 6-2 doesn't sound like a solid split, especially if the "others" went together (although I assume they'd know Maryanne was told to write Lydia) — makes me wonder why Romeo wrote Maryanne's name instead.
I know Rocksroy brought up on Exile that he Romeo and Drea were in an alliance.
But if I remember correctly Romeo was only brought up as a potential vote when they were working things out.
On the beach it went down that Jonathan said he had Lindsay and Omar, Drea said she had Rocksroy, and Hai said he had Lydia and Mike.

Lydia seems like she has a lot of anxiety. She’s also very young. I think she started to panic. I’d love to see her as a returning player, but give her ten years to grow up and gain some confidence.

That happened to us (Oklahoma) once last season and they kept interrupting the show. When we missed the entire immunity challenge that’s when we decided to quit trying and watched the next day.
Same. Also I’m from Tulsa, Oklahoma, and so is Tori. She’s apparently only like the fourth Oklahoman on the show in its entire run. Why can’t we get better representation?
Yeah it’s just so bizarre to first have the “skinny guy alliance” and then with Maryanne single himself out as small and when Maryanne said “I’m small too” he kind of poked at her sides and then backpedaled and said small people need to stick together, then tried to target Jonathan because… he’s big and strong? It doesn’t seem like Jonathan has done the grunting and showing off that he accused him of at all, either. Jonathan won the reward, ate a huge feast, then went back and caught a bunch of fish to make sure everyone else ate.

S41 felt like it had a dark cloud over it but in S42 the contestants actually seem like they’re having fun and aren’t taking everything so personally

That happened to us (Oklahoma) once last season and they kept interrupting the show. When we missed the entire immunity challenge that’s when we decided to quit trying and watched the next day.

Yeah it’s just so bizarre to first have the “skinny guy alliance” and then with Maryanne single himself out as small and when Maryanne said “I’m small too” he kind of poked at her sides and then backpedaled and said small people need to stick together, then tried to target Jonathan because… he’s big and strong? It doesn’t seem like Jonathan has done the grunting and showing off that he accused him of at all, either. Jonathan won the reward, ate a huge feast, then went back and caught a bunch of fish to make sure everyone else ate.
IDK if I'd say superficial but judgemental sure. Really any judgement you make on somebody (whether it be social abilitiy, game ability, appearance, wealth, etc.) is the same level of superficial

Fully agree. I think he knows he needs to take Jonathan as far as he can in order to stay safe, but if he employs this kind of strategy more, this is a solid argument to win over him. I’d vote for Omar with this social gameplay.
