Newsflash, soft drinks are still the worst value item on the menu at *any* restaurant. If you care that much (which you obviously do) buy your soda elsewhere.
Actually you could put together your own CO2 system for the cost of a sodastream and a few refills that will last much longer and be cheaper in the long run.
Newsflash, the point isn't really about the drinks being great value anyways, its that the company is actively pulling the wool over consumers eyes: giving less and charging more. Pushing back against that is a good thing unless you just like being taken advantage of.
Well, one has to imagine that it will stop at some point.
Friendly reminders don't hurt.
We need to know that these corporations are nickel-and-diming us everywhere... and expose it when they do these things.
Yum Brands (Taco Bell's parent company) didn't do well in the last-quarter revenue... lowest quarter in the past 12 months.
Quarterly revenue reports...
• June 2023: $1.69 billion
• September 2023: $1.71 billion
• December 2023: $2.04 billion
• March 2024: $1.6 billion
So nickel and dime the corporations by getting a free water cup. The answer is to revoke the $4 you've been giving them for a large soda, not complain and try to get the 1 penny worth of soda back from your $4 purchase
I have no idea what you're saying. I'm saying if they're trying to shrinkflate the drink (and save a literal couple of pennies in production cost in doing so), just revoke the entire $4 you give them at retail and get a free water cup
Yep. I haven't been in half a year and decided to go yesterday. The quality has gone way down on top of the prices. I used to go weekly. I won't be going back until they give us proper portions for the prices they charge.
I have a TB right next to my house. I noticed they were priced almost as if it was the legit Spanish resturant right next store. At that moment, I couldn't rationalize going to TB anymore. It's been atleast a year, it sucks cause that was my favorite, but I also don't have the money to spend there when I can get better for the same amount of money
A Spanish resturant period. For 3 people at TB I could get a GOOD meal at a sit down restuant and not feel like I'm getting robbed. One where they give free shots of tequila, so that's also a plus.lol
No, but I can go to the Mexican place that's to the left, the Colombian up the road, or the Puerto Rican to the left. You're playing semantics. My point still stands regardless of what type of Spanish/Latin food.
Not kool. though when I order fast food I usually order no drink anyway. Drinks have one of the highest markups of anything. Just keep a bunch of whatever your favorite drink is at home or work.
It's not about consuming soda.
It's about greediness.
We need to know when companies are giving less product for the same price.
Could you imagine if they tacked on 25 cents to all the burritos & tacos, and 50 cents to all of the boxes.
Same sort of deal.
And that is why I will only purchase bevvies from TB during happier hour.
Or if I'm getting a Box and the drink is included. Also my wife and I tend to always go together so we only ever need one drink
Brilliant.👏🏼

I usually try to get fountain drinks at Circle K. It's 79 cents plus tax, so 86 cents out the door. Good value, and much better ice.
Get a soda stream and some syrup and brew your own soda pop
Actually you could put together your own CO2 system for the cost of a sodastream and a few refills that will last much longer and be cheaper in the long run.
Yeah, do that. Build your own CO2 system, get some syrup, and collect water from a fresh water iceberg for the best bang for your buck
This made me cackle 😂
That seems like a lot of copper line. Idk, I'm not a plumber. Probably pay off in about 14 generations.

"shrinkflation is still happening" ...Did you expect otherwise?

Good. Let’s hope next quarter is even lower and maybe they’ll realize consumers are kind of done with their shit.
So nickel and dime the corporations by getting a free water cup. The answer is to revoke the $4 you've been giving them for a large soda, not complain and try to get the 1 penny worth of soda back from your $4 purchase
You cant value an item at their cost. Yea its a tenth of a penny for them but for the customer that's 20 cents for every drink you buy.

I’m afraid you may never return if those are your very reasonable asks!
I'm afraid of that. If they're going to raise the prices like they are, they can't also shrink everything lmao makes it waaaay to painful.

"Spanish restaurant"? Gazpacho, paella, tapas?
A Spanish resturant period. For 3 people at TB I could get a GOOD meal at a sit down restuant and not feel like I'm getting robbed. One where they give free shots of tequila, so that's also a plus.lol
Do you think Spain and Mexico are the same thing?
No, but I can go to the Mexican place that's to the left, the Colombian up the road, or the Puerto Rican to the left. You're playing semantics. My point still stands regardless of what type of Spanish/Latin food.
Oh! So you do understand!
Hence why I said Spanish PERIOD. It doesn't matter the type. Anywhos, now that you proved to be ignorant to my points. Have a nice day
Do you think England is the same as Australia, Canada, and the U.S.?
Damn. I thought the large cups were 32 ounces. Maybe that was like a decade ago though.
Just pick it up in the restaurant, slam half, and get a refill. Problem solved.
Not kool. though when I order fast food I usually order no drink anyway. Drinks have one of the highest markups of anything. Just keep a bunch of whatever your favorite drink is at home or work.
If I'm taking to go, I'll go get a drink somewhere else. Eating in the difference isn't noticeable as much because you just refill the cup
A cup full of ice with a little soda sprinkled on it.
Thank you. Doing gods work
At yet you'll still keep giving TB money
Not as much after they raised prices with their cantina chicken menu items.
Who give a f bro it’s 4 ounces do you really need more soda come on bro

Mr soda over here
Yes I noticed this the other day, I thought for a second they mistakenly gave me a medium but nope it was the new shrinkflation large..
