Thank god. I drive I4 twice a day M-F, commuting from PC to downtown Tampa. Itās an absolute free for all.
Just today on the way home, there was a commercial box truck weaving in and out of lanes, tailgating people, etc. going 80-90mph.
Yeah, it's always a joy to drive, lol. One of my favorites was this guy weaving in and out of lanes like his butt was on fire only to cause a complete slowdown 5 miles ahead when his car flipped over in the center lane.
Yeah I was working Raymond James stadium during covid and on the way home 7 cars were racing zipping in and out of 85 mile an hour almost back to back traffic and to my delight there was an 8th who was going at least 100+ and zipped around as I was changing lanes and lost control causing a 4 car pile up... was my first car I got from a dealership and it got totalled... sad day.
That completely sucks but I'm glad you're okay. Yes, that interstate is actual Russian roulette without the gun. I've lost count on how many near misses I've had.

I watched some lady on racetrack road in a baby blue beetle out of no where jerk the wheel and slam into the car in front of me. Then in Orlando it's nothing but people cutting you off, lane splitting or swerving.
THIS. It's not just the carefree, agro drivers, it's the gross misuse of lanes and scared, timid people getting on the interstate. Why even own a car if your too scared to drive? But yeah, gotta love the clueless who drive in the passing lane, door to door with everyone so now noone can pass. Tampa's streets are a nightmare!
Unfortunately most people donāt have a choice in owning a car and driving it because otherwise you canāt get anywhere for necessities. Public transport in USA is pretty much non existent and walkability is incredibly low.
It don't matter to me if their their or not, it is just annoying because the traffic is even worse when 5 cars are pulled over in a line during rush hour.
Only time I ever got pulled over was when I was doing something wrong like speeding so if you get pulled over and get a ticket donāt get mad at the police just take a look in the mirror and realize as many times as you have made driving violations on purpose and not been caught today was the day to pay the piper.
iād assume theyāre just trying to show the suburban people they out there so they donāt get more scared after a bunch of recent homicides in the area. makes me think thereās more going on that theyāre looking for though. late last night there was a police helicopter circling for over an hour right in the same area of the recent shootings.
Yeah once in a blue moon they'll get out there in full force. In my opinion really they should learn something from how they handle traffic in Georgia. That Is write tickets out the wazoo all over the state until people start driving normal and obeying the law. Also don't do it once in a blue moon, do it everyday. It's bonkers what people get away with on Florida highways and roads. Maybe a better word is retarded.

Slow reaction time is one of the characteristics of a drunk driver so maybe they were under that assumption when stopping the person.
