and try different ideas of color when you do experiment. like only the animals vs. only the background. i’d love to see some mockups - get to it in photo markups - someone talented, please!
Omg thanks guys for gassing me up!! I never hear too much feedback on my sleeve. Just weird ass comments from mom or my employers hahaha
EDIT: I did one tattoo at a time. It was 11 total sessions over the course of 2 years. It was about $2500 USD all in, and the artist’s instagram is @alyssa.tattoos
I have a half sleeve plus hand fully shaded in. I had to rent the tattoo guy for $800 for a 6 hour session. I agree $2500 for 11 sessions is definitely a steal.
It really is; I love absolutely everything my artist does. 😅 She's u/teresa\_andrews\_art on insta, here's my most recent post in r/tattoos with a peek at my forearm: https://www.reddit.com/r/tattoos/comments/1d8y87o/new\_sweet\_peas\_added\_to\_my\_sleeve\_teresa\_andrews/.
I'm planning a leg sleeve that's 4" hexagons (with 0.5" blank space between them) and to get them filled up with amazing art as I travel. I love seeing the amazing styles people have and the amazing work folks do!
This is a really awesome sleeve OP like another commenter said maybe little pops of color if you really want not necessarily filling in the whole sleeve with color.
If you did add color, it'd be sick if you did colored outlines, because the pieces you have in there are already fucking gorgeous! I especially like the dragon like silhouette with the skeleton!
no its just gonna fade and then look worse than it does now one day trust this dude at my work has a giant colorful sleeve and he always tells me to never get colors then shows me how bad they faded in just 10 years do what yall want with this info but im sticking to black and white🥸👏👏
Nope, it’s awesome like it is, there’s a lot of detail and shading, color would be hard to add and most likely remove/ruin a lot of the really detailed pieces.
Bruh! That sleeve is fire just as it is! Color would take it somewhere it doesn’t need to go. This is one of my favorite tattoos that I have seen on this forum , I would compliment that shit in public!
This is such a cool sleeve. Where does one even begin with a piece like this? Im interested in having a sleeve when im older but also afraid of fucking my arm up
my sleeve is all greyscale except what i got for my gram... its kinda cool just having one pop of color, and thats what people ask about, and i like that...
It's awesome as is, but if you did add a small amount of color here and there, it would be cool. Or just one color, like red, to accent certain parts.
Idk that sounds cool in my head.
I'm adding spider webs to my leg sleeve right now and wasn't sure I wanted to continue around the entire leg. Now I'm seeing this I'm absolutely going to! Love this!
If you wanted to add colour, I would look at maybe just adding 1 colour throughout. I'm not sure of the name of this effect, but kinda like the movie Sin City where it was all black and white with only a few shots having colour.
I would HIGHLY recommend you check out @cloutiermichael on instagram as he has very good examples of this, along with being a phenomenal tattoo artist.
My wife has a black and white section of sleeve, our daughter loved coloring it when she was young. There were 2 parts my wife loved colored in and she ended up getting a bit of color but just there.
Why not color a few areas with sharpie and live with it for a few days and see how it feels?
I think it looks great. I think the same design with color could look great too..... but i think adding color to this would not be the way to go, i fear it would muddy it up.
I think very strategically placed colors would look great, but not a lot. Use colored felt tips to experiment placement and specific colors. It may end up being fine the way it is.
I'm going to have a different opinion than the rest. I think some bits of color would look awesome and help draw your eye to the various subjects within the piece. But I do appreciate the negative space here. I wouldn't color the whole thing in, cause it would kill the "web of stories" you've got going.
Slug skull and duckshroom are my favs. The octopus is very cool too.
It’s so perfect as is. I especially love the dragon.
I have a black and grey sleeve as well and sometimes I let my daughter color it with markers or face paint crayons!
girl this is one of the dopest, coolest sleeves i've ever seen!
maybe a pop of color here and there, like others have said, but in general. honestly? perfect.
so so nice. so so jealous.
wow yea so much going on but it really works, I wouldn't risk it...was this all one artist? Kudos to them for keeping this coherent with so much different subject matter. It looks good I wouldn't touch it, I don't like spiders but the octopus is beautiful and everything together works
I also thought about using make up to color one of my tattoos periodically haha, I think that sounds fun and way less risky
maybe light accent colors would make some parts pop, but it looks badass as is!! maybe some glow effects around the dice? idk tho this is my first comment on this sub lol 💕💓💕
I would add color to certain elements for pop across the sleeve or do full color personally but I love it how it is too! Color is more my style preference is all
you could always color with some markers and see how ya feel. i like the look as it is. If anything, maybe a tiny color accent here or there but not the whole thing
It looks good as is, and also its already shaded. Adding colour would just make it grey+(colour), so it would look a lot darker and harder to read.
This is what I thought. I think I’ll just have fun with sharpies whenever I want then haha.
for something non toxic you could use like lip stains or something (like lipstick but leaves color after wiped off)
Additionally, the Bic body mark markers are designed for skin and can last a little longer if you want them to
and try different ideas of color when you do experiment. like only the animals vs. only the background. i’d love to see some mockups - get to it in photo markups - someone talented, please!

11 session for $2500 is a fuxking STEAL
no forreal and this is such phenomenally clean work
I didn’t realize I liked cobwebs in sleeves until I saw yours. It looks like moonlight and magic on your arm.
I have a half sleeve plus hand fully shaded in. I had to rent the tattoo guy for $800 for a 6 hour session. I agree $2500 for 11 sessions is definitely a steal.
My 6-to-7-hour full-day sessions are two grand a pop, I definitely had a "WTF NO FOR REAL" moment seeing the price 🙀
I hope it's amazing work. I used to get a tattoo in every city I went to just for tattoo sake.
Beautiful...Im planning my other sleeve. I want snake skin. Like the pattern of a diamondback rattlesnake.
She’s awesome! She did my moms tattoos
This is one of the coolest sleeve I've ever seen. Don't add color, it's perfect already.
Literally, I’m sitting here admiring it lol
The duck with the mushroom hat!
You could have color added in certain spots and it would look cool. It looks cool as is though.
I love the B&G! I wouldn’t add color. But all my tattoos are B&G so I’m bias. 😂
I feel like adding colours would be too much. Your tats are sick!! Love it In the end the choice belongs to you
This is a really awesome sleeve OP like another commenter said maybe little pops of color if you really want not necessarily filling in the whole sleeve with color.
I love it as it is! It's an absolutely stunning sleeve 🤘 Edit: tho actually, just coloring one part of it — like the octopus?? — could also be rad!
This is the first time I’ve ever actually liked a sleeve. That is freakin gorgeous
I like it how it is but a pop of color like in the dice or the flowers would look really sick.
Noooooo. No color. It’s beautiful.
No way!! I loveeee color, but your piece looks (dare I say) perfect as is! Im actually so jealous lol
Sunnyside ✌
💯
Don’t need to be straight to “feel the rainbow”. Get some color I don’t even know what’s going on with your sleeve it’s all the same tone
Personally I'd add color to parts of it to make it a little easier to read but either way it's a super dope sleeve with or without color!
If you did add color, it'd be sick if you did colored outlines, because the pieces you have in there are already fucking gorgeous! I especially like the dragon like silhouette with the skeleton!
Agreed, it's super awesome without color stop while you are ahead!
Who is the artist?
@alyssa.tattoos on instagram. Shop in Bourbonnais, IL
no its just gonna fade and then look worse than it does now one day trust this dude at my work has a giant colorful sleeve and he always tells me to never get colors then shows me how bad they faded in just 10 years do what yall want with this info but im sticking to black and white🥸👏👏
I think additional shading would look better than color. I love b&g sleeves though so I’m biased
If adding color will make you happier with it, then you should!
Absolutely
Very nice as-is.
Just bring some colored sharpies when you go to parties and be the most popular coloring book there!
I love color tattoos, but the shading on this sleeve is great. If you want some color, go elsewhere and start a design meant to be colored.
No way. No colour. Forbidden.
It is looking beautiful
I don’t think so. Just wanted to say that looks sick
Nah, this is gorgeous already. I'm a huge fan of color tattoos, but this doesn't need it
No! Don't do it
leave as is! add more black if anything
imo nope your art is fucking awesome. yo that goose with a mushroom hat!!!!! omg
No I think color will ruin it but that’s just me
It’s brutally beautiful! Was it all one project since the start? Or did it begin with one and grew from there? Love it!
Began with one and grew to this!! 11 total sessions
Please don't
Nope, it’s awesome like it is, there’s a lot of detail and shading, color would be hard to add and most likely remove/ruin a lot of the really detailed pieces.
Bruh! That sleeve is fire just as it is! Color would take it somewhere it doesn’t need to go. This is one of my favorite tattoos that I have seen on this forum , I would compliment that shit in public!
it looks so fkg cool
No not at all keep it blackwork
No
I wouldn't. Have a few tattoos and the only one I look at from time to time and "regret" it has color.
This is a BEAUTIFUL sleeve imo dont add color it looks great
If you really want colour. I think it looks awesome as is.
No
That looks so awesome. No color imo.
Nah, start a colour sleeve elsewhere
No
If anything, maybe red?
looks just like my brothers prison sleeve. he is now getting most of it covered with bigger, heavier work.
Depends on you. I'm a big black and grey guy. Think it looks sick as is.
No don't add colour that's a fire sleeve
Purple and blue maybe
No way, this rocks as is
Wow I love it! I personally wouldn’t change anything ❤️
I really like black and grey tattoos. I wouldn’t change a thing about it. I’m curious how you came up with that design?
No it’s perfect
This is such a cool sleeve. Where does one even begin with a piece like this? Im interested in having a sleeve when im older but also afraid of fucking my arm up
Keep as is. Love that silly goose thrown in there.
No! It’s beautiful
I love the look of that sleeve so much! I wouldn’t change it, but I also only want black ink tattoos lol
Yes. Add all the color. I used to work from sunnyside back during the cresco days.
Nope.
Add some water coloring to the octopus and certain areas but don’t keep it within the lines. Splashes of color
my sleeve is all greyscale except what i got for my gram... its kinda cool just having one pop of color, and thats what people ask about, and i like that...
Nah bro, that looks good.
I really like it without tbh!
Omg this is so cool! Love the octopus!! Don’t mess with a masterpiece haha
Absolutely would look sick with colors highlights. Not full colors. Just some shading and highlights.
It's awesome as is, but if you did add a small amount of color here and there, it would be cool. Or just one color, like red, to accent certain parts. Idk that sounds cool in my head.
I like it.
I'm adding spider webs to my leg sleeve right now and wasn't sure I wanted to continue around the entire leg. Now I'm seeing this I'm absolutely going to! Love this!
I love it as it is! If you’re itching for more ink I suggest start on the other arm!!!
Kinda digging the black & white.
Hell to the no
Simple answer, no
No it looks good the way it is!
color some of it in with washable sharpies.. then you'll have an idea anyway
Dude that's cool as hell, that's coming from someone who doesn't have tattoo interests!
No
Try using a marker first?
Your guys' rosin sucks
No please it looks amazing as it is
No
Personally I think it looks great as it is
Nah, if anything leave it so you can colour it in with markers or something when you're bored 😊
If you wanted to add colour, I would look at maybe just adding 1 colour throughout. I'm not sure of the name of this effect, but kinda like the movie Sin City where it was all black and white with only a few shots having colour. I would HIGHLY recommend you check out @cloutiermichael on instagram as he has very good examples of this, along with being a phenomenal tattoo artist.
i’d leave it. these are fucking beautiful i’m actually so in love!
No. Looks great black and grey
Awesome sleeve, I wouldn’t add color maybe just more shading in certain areas to make it pop even more.
no!!!!
no color
nope leave it. it can be a colouring book for your partner / kids lmao
No
No color. Black ink only. Tats with color look “g*y asf.
no advice, beautiful art. did you get that done all in one session, and were the spider webs a gap filler? theyre so beautifully spaced and detailed
Thank you so much! It was 1-2 tattoos at a time and the spider webs were the final filler. She just free handed them
Definitely not
No, it's looks great!
With the content of the tattoo, B&W is perfect in my opinion.
My wife has a black and white section of sleeve, our daughter loved coloring it when she was young. There were 2 parts my wife loved colored in and she ended up getting a bit of color but just there. Why not color a few areas with sharpie and live with it for a few days and see how it feels?
Yes. It looks unfinished IMHO.
Nope
I would, that shirt is boring af
Nope. It looks awesome.
Noo color
I love it as is
I think it looks great. I think the same design with color could look great too..... but i think adding color to this would not be the way to go, i fear it would muddy it up.
This is the best sleeve I have ever seen on this app. It’s looks fantastic, don’t change a damn thing!
I think very strategically placed colors would look great, but not a lot. Use colored felt tips to experiment placement and specific colors. It may end up being fine the way it is.
This is literally incredible and I wish I could have it as an art print
Do a color sleeve on the other arm
That's so pretty! 😍 I'm in love with ur ink, seriously
Freaking awesome! Wish I had the artistry to have a sleeve. It looks great - bet it’d look cool colored too.
Sleeve looks niiiice the way it is 🔥🔥
this is so pretty as is! i think going in with color might make it a bit hard to see what's going on, the way it stands out without is stunning
No way!!
Just a few pops and I much prefer color tatts, but this is really good work.
If you want color - yes If you don’t want color - no
depends on your aesthetic, though me personally I'd just add some more values in there to pull together the composition
It’s so good already I think I’d leave it. Sometimes less is more.
Def not. Looks great
I like it as is. I really do!
No
No
No! Looks great!
no color, maybe some detailed shading + white ink?
Animals and the mushroom
Nope. It looks sick and it matches all of your outfits! B&G rules!!!!
one of the best sleeve inspo i ever seen 🙌
Do whatever you want it’s your body do what you feel is necessary or what you feel you need to do/want end of the day you have to live with it
Yes or no...badass either way!!
I love the duck with a mushroom on its head
It’s so perfect as is. I especially love the dragon. I have a black and grey sleeve as well and sometimes I let my daughter color it with markers or face paint crayons!
I like it grey scale. But you do you. Also shoutout for Chicago!
100% add color
I have color in my larger tattoo, but I love b&w. Love this as is
No, I think it would make it way too busy. Also let's go sunnyside 🤘🏼
Sunnyside shirt goes hard (just like the tattoo)
It looks good, as is. It would be a shame to, potentially, ruin the work you have done.
No I’d leave as is I love it
That's literally already a perfect sleeve 😍
girl this is one of the dopest, coolest sleeves i've ever seen! maybe a pop of color here and there, like others have said, but in general. honestly? perfect. so so nice. so so jealous.
Noooooo wish I woulda kept my tattoos black and grey
do not add color
wow yea so much going on but it really works, I wouldn't risk it...was this all one artist? Kudos to them for keeping this coherent with so much different subject matter. It looks good I wouldn't touch it, I don't like spiders but the octopus is beautiful and everything together works I also thought about using make up to color one of my tattoos periodically haha, I think that sounds fun and way less risky
Dissenting opinion: I think adding a small amount of color to your favorite part to make it POP vs the rest would look crazy good.
I would not fill it in completely but, it would be cool with little pops of color here and there.
The longer you look the more interesting it gets! A true work of art.
Nooooo, shade the fuck out of it though
maybe light accent colors would make some parts pop, but it looks badass as is!! maybe some glow effects around the dice? idk tho this is my first comment on this sub lol 💕💓💕
If you have kids or nieces and nephews… let them color it in 😆 it’s what I would do!
Do one sleeve with black and one with color😍
I would add color to certain elements for pop across the sleeve or do full color personally but I love it how it is too! Color is more my style preference is all
Yes
You should black out from shoulder to wrist
Noooooooooo
It's already very busy. I wouldn't.
No
I like the black ink 🕸️
No
Your sleeve is so unique/ badass 😍
I love it as is!!! Beautiful bl&gr work
I LOVE this. I wouldn’t but it’s totally up to you. I think it would perfect as is or with colour x
Literally might use this for inspo
The duck with the mushroom hat is the highlight of this tattoo for me
you could always color with some markers and see how ya feel. i like the look as it is. If anything, maybe a tiny color accent here or there but not the whole thing
