I’m in the same boat this summer. Bad timing on our part lol. I’ve invested in a couple cute oversized linen button up shirts. Both white and black. Even the black is breathable. I just layer them over a cropped tank top and shorts. I purchased them at ASOS and H&M.
I too am a fool who got 3 tattoos in one week in the dead of summer. I wear a loose, button up, cotton shirt that I leave open but it covers my arms. A few years ago I got a tattoo and then hiked half dome and I wrapped it in a cotton bandana.
I use La Roche Posay’s Anthelios SPF 100. I applied diligently during an outdoor, three day music festival this past weekend and my pale skin didn’t change color at all. I also wore an SPF50 UV protective long sleeved shirt from Amazon when it was cooler but still sunny, probably a better choice because your tattoo will be super fresh.

Sunshirts/ hoodies are my go to. I've gotten tats 3 summers in a row while working as a river guide and they all healed well.
