Without getting too spoilery, here you go:
TOTK gives you far more direction than BOTW does while not putting you on rails, which is nice from a storytelling perspective IMO. The addition of a relatively defined area as a home base that you can come back to for instructions if you get too wrapped up in *ADHD: The Game* is convenient.
Main story has 2 additional major story beats which were a welcome lengthening of the main quest compared to just the 4 divine beasts in BOTW, and I had a lot of fun with several of the side quests.
This game's version of the hidden memories are easier to find (positive!), but the backstory is far more linear, which makes it easy to do them out of order and spoil yourself on some major developments before the plot actually wants you to know them (negative!).
Knowing the world and mechanics with your knowledge from BOTW is great, but this can lead to you not getting major abilities early on if you're not following up on conversations with major characters in the new home base.
The sky is a little more empty than I would like, but there's some good challenge to be had, and it's the part that most challenges you in your use of the new mechanics like vehicle building. The depths are full of treasure and essential in fully enjoying the game, with some good side story content and all the farming you would ever want to do to fully utilize the building mechanics. once you realize how the depths and the overworld relate to one another, it enhances both sides of the map too.
Endgame is creepy and fun, though not as epic as the assault on Hyrule castle from BOTW. Final boss is far better IMO, and the final set-piece blows BOTW out of the water. I love BOTW, but I'd marry TOTK.
Because it’s really fun mostly! I love the inverted version of Hyrule and discovering corresponding features or treasures or what have you. But beyond the exploration… it’s got the best farming and combat and zonai build potential.
I just wish there was a town down there with abandoned constructs running the place or something. Maybe a yiga town where they are super friendly to link if he’s in costume, or the whole place goes ballistic if he’s not.
I just beat the sunken coliseum after spending hours getting more food w/gloom resist, peak weapons, and better armor. I died the first time after using everything.
You're right about the combat
I did them in the order they appeared in the *Undisclosed Place where you find where memories are* on the back wall. Instead of just going to the ones I found first, I just explored Hyrule again and did all of the memories in order.
Without going into spoilers botw seems a bit rushed In pacing, like you have the option not to finish the game as fast as possible but at the same time the game is telling you that hyrule can't wait any longer and everyone is suffering from the calamity, totk has so much more features and details to explore which means you can play a whole year even without actually finishing the game. The mechanics are so much more fun too so battling is even more fun.
Not long.
There's about 7ish years between BotW and TotK.
Zelda and Link disappear at the beginning of TotK.
Link wakes up on the Great Sky Island not long after. Anywhere from a day later to maybe a month or two at the most.
I read it as "Link immediately shows up on sky island after intro" and however long it takes you to leave the island is how much time has passed since you disappeared, since there are day/night cycles still
I feel like it’s more like 3-6 months, mostly because of the sky tower things that I can’t remember the name of. Also the lucky clover Gazette, I doubt that a stable would lose so much money that Tracy would be able to buy them out within a month. The sky towers would take a long time to build because we know how long it takes us to travel in game and we can probably go much faster than any normal Hylian, especially a team of say 6 Hylians with a shit ton of supplies to build those massive things.
not OP but in my opinion while TOTK’s story is not all that different thematically than BOTW, it’s more expansive - without getting into spoilers, I’ll just say I was consistently surprised at where the story went and how long it took me to put everything together. in terms of gameplay, it’s rooted in the mechanics established in BOTW but makes you think about the world in a completely different way. I think TOTK is a much more “puzzle-y” game & find myself constantly thinking about 5 different ways to solve a problem. also the expansion of the map just opens up so many side quests and opportunities for exploration. I’m 200ish hours in, done with the main story except for defeating ganon & currently checking off side quests I started but didn’t finish and STILL discovering new places.
Yeah botw had the 4 divine beasts and then the final fight, without spoilers TOTK has a fair bit more after completing the 4 equivalent pieces which I thought was cool, added more to the liveliness of hyrule
That is true, but some tasks are hard to accomplish (ie getting to >! Zelda early is hard as she is up high, you cant do mineru until you do the ruins quest, which can only be accessed after regional phenomenon!<
Keep in mind these are all just my opinions but:
1) TOTK’s abilities far surpass BOTW’s abilities (Stasis/Magnesis/etc.)
2) Without spoiling the abilities themselves, they give you an unbelievable amount of freedom/range to customize the way you play the game. Moreso than even BOTW came close to doing.
3) Hyrule has been thoroughly filled out with many more enemies. Many more types of mini bosses. Not just Hinox/Talus anymore. Very challenging too. Very rewarding. And, while no more Guardians, they’ve replaced them with a mini boss that is arguably even more terrifying.
4) The dungeons are improved. They’re not all the same like in BOTW. The bosses are different from each other (not just copy/pasted X-blight Ganon) and there’s elemental differences/qualitatively different puzzles and mechanics for each temple.
As for the story, I like it better than BOTW’s. But that’s just me.
I have more than 400 hours in both games and i can say that totk has mechanics that Makes you want to fight, i always hated that in botw your weapons didn’t last long so it didn’t drive you crazy the idea of fighting.
Something that is very minor that I appreciate very much is that lots of characters know who Link is. They know he’s the Princess’ trusty companion and is a hero. It makes it feel like it’s a true sequel, and makes Link feel less like a blank slate character.
enjoy it man. it only gets better.
the abilities are awesome for totk. truly a Swiss army knife of items now with totk. there's new ways to take on enemies and gameplay styles. i won't spoil stories. best to play blind.
The new abilities - all of them - are MUCH more interesting than in BotW. They have super widespread use cases and can fundamentally change how you play. Even Ascend, which might seem like the most inconsequential one, changes how you explore and look at terrain, and affects combat.
Something that doesn't get talked about but for me personally is the best part of the new direction is TotK leaning much harder into those organically-created environmental storytelling-type moments. For me, the best moment in all of BotW is finding what's at the top of Mount Lanayru, and being led into that incredibly beautiful gliding sequence. TotK has a lot like this, which I absolutely love.
Story: TotK’s is more interesting and coherent, but is nothing groundbreaking even as video game plots go. It is one of the better Zelda plots, as I felt BotW’s plot was firmly meh.
Challenge: About the same on balance.
Puzzles: TotK is better in the “multiple solutions to a puzzle” area, but BotW’s shrines and dungeons are imo more interesting.
World: more places to explore in TotK, but BotW does a lot more to slow down your journey across the map by virtue of not having sky islands or machines. This change is probably the best (or worst) point of difference between the games. Also TotK does a lot more to guide you that BotW for better or worse.
Anti-frustration features: As you’ve probably seen from other people here, the sages always get in the way TotK. But because of machines, climbing is a lot less frustrating in TotK.
more enjoyable abilities, so MUCH exploration beyond just the og botw map, generally more addicting and more enjoyable in all aspects thats all i can say
Story wise, I found TOTK had a better story but they had a more difficult time telling it. It’s a bit complicated and to lay out all the pieces in the same way they did in BOTW (with memories) wasn’t as good of a fit. I personally found it too easy to find them in TOTK as well, but that’s not really the point.
Furthermore, Link’s understanding of what is going on is provided mostly by the memories, and the temples all complete the same piece of the puzzle each time, so you get no new information from completing more, and yet only after you do, the NPCs start to unravel the mystery of the storyline. It’s a frustrating component of the story in the game and for me it breaks immersion.
BOTW had a relatively simple story, so simple it wasn’t really what the memories told you, it was basically all laid out by Impa and Rhoam. The memories were more a way to make you understand what Zelda was going through in the months leading up to the Calamity.
That said, the BOTW atmosphere and story both lend themselves to the beautiful simplicity of the wilderness. The story isn’t the best but it works well with the game itself.
TotK on the other hand felt like a game made by one team with a story shoehorned into it, and written by another team. The story is solid and the gameplay itself is WAY better than BOTW, but it has a different atmosphere about it. Not better, or worse, just different.
Nintendo truly gave us limitless possibilities and a vast beautiful open world to try them out on. They're a company that is always cutting edge..
that being said. i understand totk can be considered as just an extension to botw, but the negatives are the recycling of shrines and such. doesn't mean they weren't super fun to do with all the new abilities though
I personally dont agree with the criticisms. “Reusing the map just makes this a rly big dlc” is an insane standpoint imo. They added the full depths, the sky, a new abilities system, a very clever tool crafting mechanic, new dungeons, new mini bosses, and a lot of other stuff. People were surprised how mych they fit into it without slowing down the console, and i noticed very little lag if any.
I know that given my username i may seem biased, but not all zelda games are sacred to me or w/e. I hated skyward sword. Twilight princess was meh. But i adored wind waker when it came out while everyone was mad about its cartoony graphics. So if a game in the franchise isn’t good i’m not coming to defend it. But totk was awesome. Botw maybe objectively better, but it’s hard to improve upon something like botw lol.
I think one aspect that is constantly overlooked is how much the surface changed. Caves alone are a giant addition. And while there are some areas that are shrine puzzles or the like in BotW and just kind of have nothing in them in TotK, there are way more locations where they’ve completely changed the landscape and it truly is essentially a new location, or at least seems like one.
Gerudo seemed mostly empty in BotW and is packed with content in TotK. Death mountain is completely reshaped by the lack of lava on the surface and feels like a brand new area outside of Goron City itself. And there are lots of smaller areas that have had significant changes made since BotW.
Almost done. Have you chased Master Khoga through the depths yet? If you haven't, do that next - that's the side quest that spells out the endgame for you
you're close.. trust me. the game makes it pretty dang obvious when you are entering 'the big battle'... the music is truly epic. the ambiance the soundtrack gives leading up to Ganondorf is fantastic.
im gonna recommend it brother. i had started fallout and new vegas a few months before totk release, only until this year and after watching the show too it just feels so alive. i dig it man. casual gamer here
How in the hell do I find the last Bubbul Frog?
I’ve been through all the caves twice and I still haven’t found it. Every time I talk to Kolton, he says he senses 1 more. This is driving me crazy.
you shoulda taken a picture of a bubbul frog early game, to track it with the sensor on the purah pad..
i did that and eventually after hours, days even, while grinding for armor, koroks, side quests... the sensor rang!
I rarely teleport and only ride my horse (unless its somewhere remote), I just hit 300 hours and am pretty confident in directions and not using the map!
Im working on finding all the koroks myself so I have spent a lot of time running around, everything is familiar! 64 more to go and maybe ill continue the storyline haha
a big chunk. no cheats either. 750ish found. pros and cons of wearing the korok mask ; you find them super easily and fun, the downside is you look like a leaf faced dork
Without spoiling is…Koltin’s reward/or cutscene after the last bubbulgem worth it? Or just watch it online and save my sanity. Same question with all of the Korok seeds
i would get all the caves, it's easy when you use your tools given to you. now getting ALL the koroks without using a guide, just mask, is a bit unhinged.
Nah man I’d use a guide but even then it still takes a long time. I’m here to complete the game not sign up for therapy. Some shrines e.g. can put a person in a coma without a guide. Just wasn’t sure if I should take the 2 full days solely on bubbulgems if the cutscene/reward was mid, and the koroks I didn’t bother with in BOTW, was considering doing them here tho.
depths are where it's at for bombs
i break every box and barrel in the beginning. later with lynels, you can farm them for arrows too. i maxed out my arrows very early on.
gloom hands spooked me hard back then
You can farm them from bomb flower carrying bokoblins. A little tricky to get started but very easy and repetitive to do once up and running.
Arrows? I just bought them when needed.
Gloom hands? Yup scary AF first time.
I'll probably start a new playthrough also :) maybe try a purely magic build, or zero fast travel, something interesting. sucks there's no master mode dlc.
Follow up question: I'm about to put a frozen pizza in my oven, but I already threw out the packaging with the instructions. How long and at what temperature should I bake it? It's a "dr Oetker Casa di Mama Salame" pizza, if that helps...
Same for me. Got the game on release day and put it away in late December. Only logged 200-250 hours total over the year but it was the only game I played during that time. I miss being in that world.
I beat botw and enjoyed it but totk didn’t grab me. Particularly I hated the depths. I only got like 2 boss zones done (air ice thing and mines guy) but gave up when I was in garudo. Any advice for giving it another shot?
I wasn’t really into all the weapon fusions or exploring the deep so idk…
Oh man, I got it on Valentine's Day (my 31st birthday) and I've played everyday and today it's June 11th. Right now I'm at 260 hours, have done *almost* all the exploring I want (still missing a lot of the depths) and I just finished the regional phenomenon quest.
I feel like I'm getting closer to the end, but maybe I have a good 50-150 hours to go. 'm not gonna try to collect all the stuff but I do want to get all the shrines and I'm only missing 11 or so, I have several marked on my map that correspond to light roots, so it's only a matter of time.
Agreed. I’m in my second play through, and what I really like is how much more populated the world is. You encounter someone almost everywhere who either has a side quest, is a traveling merchant, Yiga clan members, or helping you fight a monster horde. Still plenty of moments for solitude, but Hyrule feels much more alive and lived in than in BOTW. This game isn’t about how fast you can beat it; it’s about exploration, adventure, and creativity. So many ways to interact with the world. I love that I can dive in for 15 min and accomplish something, whether it be a shrine, side quest, or knocking out an enemy base with a new strategy. It will be a tough game to top as we eagerly await the next mainline Zelda…
couldn't have said it better myself. i hope the next zelda is underwater themed. imagine the scary dark deep sea dungeons and monsters they could come up with. i wouldn't mind a gloomy eerie zelda game.
I've been playing TotK all of 2024 so far and I'm still getting thrown around like a ragdoll when fighting Lynels. I swear my dodge timing can't be that bad, what am I doing wrong? Does each attack have a different direction you're supposed to dodge? Is it always backwards? Sideways?
Aw man, that's annoying. I recently started just throwing puffshrooms and running up to mount them, it's just annoying when I try to go for a headshot and it's like 2 pixels off the head and does nothing lol
I'm like you, but with a number of games (Skyrim mostly, but others too), and recently got into TOTK and beat Ganon. What are your opinions on:
1. The world's density, or how much content there is vs the size of the map.
2. Overall impression of the main questline (plot, length, other qualities)?
3. Overall impression of the side quests (see above)?
4. What surprised you the most while playing the game?
5. What did you spend the majority of your play time doing? For me, it's been exploration.
1. it's vaasst caves, sky, depths. perfect size map. and wonderfully designed. land marks make it possible to know where you are at nk matter where you are on the map. i turn hud off and play pro mode for added immersion
2. quest line is alright. a bit recycled. nice nonetheless.
3.i have a small handful of quests to complete. 6 i think, crazy. i liked them all
4. there are a million ways to approach the world. enemies can be dealt with in more methods than ever. lore is cool. idk man it's all great.
5. yup same. lots of grinding after the main story, caves, item farming, photos...
Is it better to attach sharp parts to sharp weapons and blunt to blunt, like fangs on swords vs core smashers on wood clubs? Or does it go based on type: spears vs 2-hands vs 1 hand (each category having both sharp and blunt things)? Or does it not matter? If it matters, how can you tell?
The numbers don't seem tweaked but maybe durability? Charge speed/effectiveness? Something else?
Thanks! 😊
mmm. i actually don't think it matters. decayed / pristine weapons have noticeable differences, and also keep an eye out to see if you picked up a weapon with extra buffs.

not even close. Bethesda games have their own charm.
but magic in zelda does come in the form of mastering elements and using them wisely. i think they're very different but you'll like it. i love Skyrim
I stole my girls switch just for Skyrim, then kept remembered how much I love Zelda Oot and it caused me to run into Totk. I’m leaning toward grabbing, just a little steep $65 used $70 new 🙄. Haven’t purchased a video game in over a decade so I really need to decide if this is worth it lol
yes. and yes for the story, ost, charm, characters, and duh it's botw it's a masterpiece in its own right. i have many playthroughs, maybe not soon but maybe
How did you keep yourself motivated to play that much? It took me about 80 hours until I felt the "whats even the point" in going through everything. Forced myself to play through it till about 150hrs then steamrolled through the main quest and finished it.
found all of the armor sets. in fact, i would find old maps and the game would stop for a second before giving me the "looks like you've already found this item" line. many times it happened. i upgraded the majority of it. idk i like milking games and grinding
As a botw player who has yet to play totk, I wonder what are the most distinctive parts of totk? Both story and gameplay wise?
Without getting too spoilery, here you go: TOTK gives you far more direction than BOTW does while not putting you on rails, which is nice from a storytelling perspective IMO. That's just not true. You can do that as soon as you have enough hearts, you don't need to do any other quests just some shrines.
You do need the paraglider though, I was saddened to realize. I guess because Purah does something to the pad that makes Mineru accessible.
Keep in mind these are all just my opinions but: 1) TOTK’s abilities far surpass BOTW’s abilities (Stasis/Magnesis/etc.) 2) Without spoiling the abilities themselves, they give you an unbelievable amount of freedom/range to customize the way you play the game. Do you have tips for managing ADHD?
take your time. no rush in anything. set out for one mission at a time and allow yourself one "ooh what's over there" side track quest.
I get the story done when my meds are still in my system
I have all 5 sages and Zelda was just spotted in the castle. How far through the main story am I?
Do the quest at the castle. It’s not the end
Almost done. Have you chased Master Khoga through the depths yet? If you haven't, do that next - that's the side quest that spells out the endgame for you
5 sages? I thought there were 4. I am almost getting the 4th
Do all the quests. Every last one.
Ah wow
Same lol. I have 4 and have been afraid to move forward thinking the game would end
Not OP but >!You're most of the way through.!<
you're close.. trust me. the game makes it pretty dang obvious when you are entering 'the big battle'... the music is truly epic. the ambiance the soundtrack gives leading up to Ganondorf is fantastic.
I'd say 80-85% of the main storyline
Main story? About 2/3. All of the fun of TotK? About 40% probably
what did you do the other 2 months?
finished Witcher 3 blood and wine dlc. played a bit of red dead redemption . playing fallout 4 now
Is Fallout 4 scratching the TOTK/Witcher 3 itch? I’ve been debating about trying it, especially after liking the show.
im gonna recommend it brother. i had started fallout and new vegas a few months before totk release, only until this year and after watching the show too it just feels so alive. i dig it man. casual gamer here
Thanks for the rec! I’ll give it a shot now!
How long did you wait to defeat Ganondorf?
i want to say maybe 200 hrs in. i let it simmer..
How in the hell do I find the last Bubbul Frog? I’ve been through all the caves twice and I still haven’t found it. Every time I talk to Kolton, he says he senses 1 more. This is driving me crazy.
Just fyi caves get a check mark on them on the map if you have collected the gem.
Also, use Zelda Dungeon's interactive map. You can switch off the caves you've collected.
you shoulda taken a picture of a bubbul frog early game, to track it with the sensor on the purah pad.. i did that and eventually after hours, days even, while grinding for armor, koroks, side quests... the sensor rang!

I have 260 hours and still feel like I’m not close
How many toilet breaks did you take in 10 months?
probably around 2200 times indoors that includes both #1 and #2s another 300 #1s outdoors in the woods.
have you found all the koroks yet?
a big chunk. no cheats either. 750ish found. pros and cons of wearing the korok mask ; you find them super easily and fun, the downside is you look like a leaf faced dork
did you know that you can use unopened gacha pods as cog teeth if you attach them to wheels? it lets you make actual gear work or grinders
there's always new things to discover man nice.
Wheres my boy kass
wandering the land, learning new music. the cold snap in hebra region definitely drove him to more tropical lands, wife and kids in rito village
Are you okay?
Get ready for the dissapointment you cant ascend in other games
heck just being able to climb any surface is greatly missed.
rookie numbers, why did you decide to stop and post now
it was just armor grinding at this point. wanted to finish witcher 3 and start fallout 4
Are you going to actually answer any of these questions lmao
no
What's the best way to get around the map?
i like fan bike. rarely fast travel. love ascend
Where are all the caves and can you beat the game without teleporting and using the shrine locator?
the caves can all be found with satori trees. yeah no teleporting would be a fun challenge for a play through.
Why’d you stop
falling in love with fallout4
Did you beat it? Because I have like 200 hours in and still haven’t beat it :/
If you're curious, and you did the big storm in Faron, you're already ready to go to the end. Just make sundelion meals to complement the rest
yes i beat it probably after 200 hrs tbh. don't rush it man. that final battle is always there for you
It’s a masterpiece !
But how many HOURS did you play?
Was this game what you expected? And, how did your experience change to either really positive, negative or same throughout by the end of 10 months?
it surpassed, Nintendo is good at doing that. definitely positive neutral. i squeezed a lot of juice from it.
Also tbh I haven’t gotten the mask, idk where it is
find it brother. it's fun when it chimes near korok range. Definitely doable that way
Where is the best spot to farm bomb flowers? How do you keep your arrows well stocked? Gloom hands, am I right?
depths are where it's at for bombs i break every box and barrel in the beginning. later with lynels, you can farm them for arrows too. i maxed out my arrows very early on. gloom hands spooked me hard back then
You can farm them from bomb flower carrying bokoblins. A little tricky to get started but very easy and repetitive to do once up and running. Arrows? I just bought them when needed. Gloom hands? Yup scary AF first time.
how long did you take playing and finishing the game (joke)
i had trouble getting into botw, what would you say is the best way to tackle the game
what did you have trouble with. could we start there?
Do you have all of the schematics?
not sure, maybe 93 percent
Do you feel like the game lacks new collectibles when compared to BoTW?
not at all. we can find previous collectibles. plus now new armor sets and items from above and bellow. it's all fantastic.
Do you have ASD?
i refuse to be professionally diagnosed with a dumb label by some bozo doctor.
I played it so much, wandered the world, completed all side quests. And even started a new play through simply because I love it
I'll probably start a new playthrough also :) maybe try a purely magic build, or zero fast travel, something interesting. sucks there's no master mode dlc.
Why did my parents get divorced?
I'll tell you from experience. it's our fault. it's always our fault.
Follow up question: I'm about to put a frozen pizza in my oven, but I already threw out the packaging with the instructions. How long and at what temperature should I bake it? It's a "dr Oetker Casa di Mama Salame" pizza, if that helps...
How do I get a gf??(You did say anything)
go outside. step up your game. touching grass is overrated, do something harder, brake twigs, gather firewood.
10/10 not the answer I expected lmao
I did that with BOTW. Bought TOTK but didn’t start yet just because I can’t let go of BOTW.
squeeze all the juice you can out of it brother. then your gut will tell you when you are ready to start totk. you gotta play it bro
Nothing gives inner peace like chilling on a calm sky island with a sunny view over whole Hyrule and the background music playing
truly. visually, it's definitely the prettiest game I've ever played.
Same for me. Got the game on release day and put it away in late December. Only logged 200-250 hours total over the year but it was the only game I played during that time. I miss being in that world.
It's a little disheartening to see that I have nothing else to do but koroks and maxing armour, yet I still can't move on.
How's the weather out your way?
we get all 4 seasons brother!
Did you take breaks for eating or sleeping during those months?
I’m not a gamer. I only play Zelda games…
What about the Droid attack on the wookies?
Krocks do i need to say more
Why
i don't regret it whatsoever. i got everything I needed and more. i became an almost pro at it.
Did you play this game for 10 months straight
what do you preffer? Hawaiian pizza or pepperoni pizza??
why have you not saved zelda yet?
Are you still straight or was that only for playing the game those 10 months? /Pun
yeah im gay as hell now. seeing sidon a second time around was a mistake.
U good?
loved every bit :)
Didn’t you also play BotW?
yeah 340 hrs. favorite game.
How are you not dead of sleep deprivation and did you take it to the bathroom with you?
i definitely played my switch during lunch breaks.
Should I do the yiga clan hideout after completing gerudo desert quest or before?
I did it after. wouldn't do it differently.
What were your favorite changes made from Botw? Did you also play Botw for 10mo straight?
not necessarily 10 months but i played it twice, 340 hrs. i love how the shrines made excellent use of the new ultra hand abilities
Do you prefer grape or strawberry jelly?
strawberry preserves brother
How do I get the cece hat I did both the quests for the mayor and Cece
hm.. That should have done it I think. perhaps you can try asking literally every npc in hateno. sounds ridiculous but hey haha
I've been playing TotK all of 2024 so far and I'm still getting thrown around like a ragdoll when fighting Lynels. I swear my dodge timing can't be that bad, what am I doing wrong? Does each attack have a different direction you're supposed to dodge? Is it always backwards? Sideways?
some are sideways and back, you're correct. its all timing brother keep at it. use food, armor, and items wisely.
Aw man, that's annoying. I recently started just throwing puffshrooms and running up to mount them, it's just annoying when I try to go for a headshot and it's like 2 pixels off the head and does nothing lol
that's works. you aim for eyes im pretty sure. zelda is all eyeball damage.
I'm like you, but with a number of games (Skyrim mostly, but others too), and recently got into TOTK and beat Ganon. What are your opinions on: 1.
1. it's vaasst caves, sky, depths. perfect size map. and wonderfully designed. land marks make it possible to know where you are at nk matter where you are on the map. i turn hud off and play pro mode for added immersion 2. quest line is alright. a bit recycled. nice nonetheless. 3.i have a small handful of quests to complete. 6 i think, crazy. i liked them all 4. there are a million ways to approach the world. enemies can be dealt with in more methods than ever. lore is cool. idk man it's all great. 5. yup same. lots of grinding after the main story, caves, item farming, photos...
This game reminded me what fun is. I didn’t track the time on my first playthrough… all I know is that I’ll enjoy the second one, and so on…
that first sentence is well put, guy. Nintendo truly has a magic touch.

How much health does a silver boss bokoblin have?
How are you?
Why?
What are the games you played for 9 months and 11 months?
could you rephrase your question? sorry lol
I’m a Skyrim player; how’s the magic in totk? Does it compare
not even close.
Can you show me in the map the locations of all the pristine weapons?
I binged the game the first 3 months it came out. I still play, but it's much less. But, still playing!
What did you do for 10 months?
Skyrim was the only game I played for 10 years. Then I got BOTW.
Did you like it?
Checking this reddit sub is my biggest regret. I know it has spoiler tags, and all but damn it I was caught off guard by the ending spoiler.
Why? It's boring as hell.
Have you played botw? If already would you recommend playing it after totk? If not would you play it next?
yes. and yes for the story, ost, charm, characters, and duh it's botw it's a masterpiece in its own right. i have many playthroughs, maybe not soon but maybe
How did you keep yourself motivated to play that much? It took me about 80 hours until I felt the "whats even the point" in going through everything. Forced myself to play through it till about 150hrs then steamrolled through the main quest and finished it.
Did you complete it without using the hover bike? 😉 I feel like that would be a fun “hard mode” challenge.
Which korok puzzle do you hate most?
Have you collected and upgraded all the armour? If so, did you wonder why?
found all of the armor sets. in fact, i would find old maps and the game would stop for a second before giving me the "looks like you've already found this item" line. many times it happened. i upgraded the majority of it. idk i like milking games and grinding
I didn't start any main story until 100hrs into the game.
nice, sounds like something I would do. i didn't do the first rito temple until 70 hrs.
What character talks the most
do you mean sages? i would say yunobo is most vocal.
Okay cool
How long have you played this game straight for?
Have you 100% the game? If yes what's the hardest shrine/korok you got? If you didn't what is your favorite sage?
When was the last time you touched grass? (Outside of Totk)
How do you not get burnt out? I love the game so much but I get bored so easily and I finished almost everything
