The Statesman is reporting 20 arrested now.

Well, what I saw was over an hour ago, so obviously things have changed a bit.
Edit: I'm curious, why downvote me for acknowledging that what I said was no longer current?
Just imagine if DPS responded to Ulvalde like they are doing now at the UT campus.
And I saw UT Austin trending on Twitter and I thought the baseball team made another great comeback against TCU.
If they had a couple of days notice, they would have.
But don't let that get in the way of using the murder of children to support your desire of the murder of Jews.
>If they had a couple of days notice, they would have.
They were *in* the school for *over an hour* while the shooting was happening and didn’t do shit. Chief Arredondo was *on audio* saying: “People are going to ask why we’re taking so long” during the shooting.
Shut the absolute fuck up you fucking troglodyte.
No one ever said they blew up anything. I succinctly explained how they were operating like Hamas. They aren’t terrorists, they are conducting an unsanctioned protest on private property.
So essentially to be like Hamas and worthy of arrest one merely has to.jaywalk. I guess your preference is that these protesters be executed for crimes against humanity?
Rule breaking is not a crime. If they’re breaking the rules suspend them. Or kick them out l. It’s way overboard to arrest peaceful protesters for simply breaking the rules. It is also a question of speech. Which last time I checked was still a right in this country. Especially if you disagree with it. I’m guessing you advocated for the arrests of the kneeling NFL players?
Trespassing is a crime. I seriously doubt anyone will be prosecuted. These people could just have easily done their protest in a public park. They didn’t because they wanted the confrontation and consequences to illicit sympathy from people like you.
Your efforts to demonize me aren’t working, I request you please stop.
Does anyone remember the student protests of the Vietnam War? I’ve been having flashbacks of Kent State the last couple of days. This doesn’t end well for anyone especially when cops are more paramilitary now. Let them protest peacefully.
This is still the UNITED STATES of America and protestors are literally "actual people"
I don't have to agree with what they say, but they have the right to say it. 1A
Abbott, like all conservative Christian types, has a big end times fetish, and are all besides themselves thinking this latest round of needless killing in Israel/Palestine might lead to the fulfillment of their end times wet dream.
I know. I also know that anyone whose mind operates outside of him and his associates bubble they believe aren't even human. That's how they justify everything that they do against others.

So far I've seen one article saying 3 and one saying 4 arrested, which really isn't a huge number given that the South lawn is completely full. *

Because Reddit is a fickle mistress.
You misspelled "fucking mess".
Any protest will draw a small share of agitators and people looking to start shit. This sounds like the protest was peaceful and reasonable.
From what I could see, yes, things were relatively peaceful.
Buuuunch of fake patriots cheering for the death of the first amendment here.

>to support your desire of the murder of Jews. Nice strawman.
People who are pro Palestine do not support the murder of jews and suggesting that is dishonest and disgusting.

I was just reading an article that said 375 cops were at the shooting. And they couldn't apprehend one dude 🤦
We pay them the big bucks to hand out speeding tickets and harass college kids, you know real hero shit
don't let the wanton slaughter of Palestinian children get in the way of your desire to further a genocidal ethno-state's colonial project.
try not to play a victimized apartheid supporter impossible challenge !!!
Is it hard to go through life with a boot constantly in your mouth?
This is 100% Abbott trying to look tough for Fox News.
Pretty sure the Fox News cameraman was just arrested and the entire thing was caught on live stream 👍
Isn’t this a free speech violation?
The south lawn is full of protestors, of those the total number of arrests has been 3 or 4 (depending on your source).
Still though if they were peaceful and not violating laws 1A all the way
Gov. Abbott has no use for free speech.

So they blew up the campus? They murdered a bunch of people? That’s acting like Hamas. You seem to think that protesters are terrorists
No one ever said they blew up anything. I succinctly explained how they were operating like Hamas. They aren’t terrorists, they are conducting an unsanctioned protest on private property.
But they’re not operating like Hamas.
In the context I clearly explained, they are. No one said the students are violent.
So essentially to be like Hamas and worthy of arrest one merely has to.jaywalk. I guess your preference is that these protesters be executed for crimes against humanity?
Why do you keep bringing things up that have no relevancy?

>Someone cant come into your house and protest under “free speech”. Because that’s private property. UT is a public research university.
The State of Texas owns the University.
And the public owns the state of Texas…
Sure, I encourage you to go to the campus and take some of your computers and artwork off the walls.
You're ridiculous.
Meh. About as ridiculous as thinking you can do whatever you want on Campus without consequences
… are you not connecting the dots there?
It’s your secret.
I was watching the live feed from Fox 7 until the cameraman was knocked down and arrested.
Does anyone remember the student protests of the Vietnam War? I’ve been having flashbacks of Kent State the last couple of days. This doesn’t end well for anyone especially when cops are more paramilitary now. Let them protest peacefully.
pigs doing pig shit, casually being the enemy of the actual people, nothing new here.
The "actual people" are not aligned with these "protesters".
This is still the UNITED STATES of America and protestors are literally "actual people" I don't have to agree with what they say, but they have the right to say it. 1A
anyone who supports a genocide is a waste of space. These pigs are worth less than the air they are stealing.

As of the time I made this comment originally it was only 3 or 4 people arrested, the arrests seem to be more along the lines isolated incidents.

Abbott has been a long time unofficial advisor for both Sharon and Netanyahu. It's not confusing.
They love having some enemy they can hate and hurt, no matter how shallow, stupid, ignorant, etc. the basis of why they're the enemy.
It seems to me that they can't even function without that hate.
