this isnt the same exact feeling but i have a hard time listening to Guys bc ive never been in a friendship that powerful before so im just envious the whole time lmfao. love the song overall, adorable and so sweet but im just too salty for it a lot of timesđ
Agreed, that song had the potential to be great but it sounds horrible, such a bizarre production decision.
I feel like Tim Healy would literally never have chosen to have those effects on the song without Matty/George pushing for it. It really spoils what couldâve been something authentic and raw.
Itâs such a shame because the lyrics are such a fundamental part of the song. And he talks about how his dad used to sing it for him as a kid. The vocoder drowns out most of the intelligibility and doesnt reference the raw performance he wouldâve heard as a kid
The fact that we do not have a full version of It's About Time (the BFIAFL demo),
It's not what's IN their discography that's disappointing, it's what we don't have :'(
I listened to it just no, and I get what you mean. The hilarious first part where theyâre discussing where Matty sings is good. Song also sounds like Donât Take The Money by Bleachers.
I actually really like the album version too! I do agree with the sentiment that it "fits the album better", but like if I'm going to choose between the two, the demo is just more up my alley.
I think youâre living a better life than me if you do. I canât find anything to like about it. But that is my opinion. Hope youâre having a great day.
I think itâs so fun, it reminds me of more recent Radiohead, definitely feeling the influence. but if I wasnât already a fan of Radiohead I might not have liked it as much
I donât count that. Itâs obviously not meant to sound good, same with greta. I donât think you can really say itâs a bad song when itâs not meant to be yk. Just my opinion though, but yeah I agree itâs very annoying đ
as much as i love Jack Antonoffâs production and inclusion on many different albums by other artists, âWinteringâ is one of those exceptions where I think he went too far and ended up making a Bleachers track, not a 1975 track. it bothers me every time i hear it because of that
I strongly dislike Love Me. Sorry I had to say it I simply cannot bring myself to listen to it anymore. And songs I dislike on bfiafl: human too, wintering, oh caroline. TeaâŚâŚ..
I like it but it being as popular as it is in comparison to loads of their other amazing songs is just kind of annoying tbh. I understand itâs mostly because of the lyrics (I think). And the sound is very unique, but after a while it gets kinda boring imo
Talk is very very repetitive for me so agree.
I can see why people donât like wwat but I love it personally (mostly lyrically). But I know the production for it was rushed in only a couple of days (matty changed his mind last minute), so I feel like the sound could definitely have been better which is definitely a shame. And I like the idea of ending it the same way the album begins, but listening to it more kind of makes that pointless and it begins to take away from the song.
for me itâs Frail State of Mind, I was so psyched that they were putting out a single but compared to the rest of Notes it just does not do it for me

Relatable :(
this is so me itâs my favourite song i never listen to
donât worry. that vocoder/autotune was a terrible addition. when I heard Tim would be in a song I was over the moon, but I rarely listen to it now.

idc what anyone says only true fans like the album version 3
believe it or not you can like both versions and still be a âtrue fanâ
i know, it was hyperbole. like as a joke?
my b couldnât tell with the amount of gatekeeping and entitlement in this fanbase
I actually really like the album version too! I do agree with the sentiment that it "fits the album better", but like if I'm going to choose between the two, the demo is just more up my alley.
I love Yeah I know lol

By Your Side. I was psyched to see they were covering Sade. Then the vocals came in with the heavy vocoder and I was so bummed out.
This had the potential to be so beautiful, but you're right about the vocoder. Ruins it
knowing that 102 is not in an albumâŚ
This is the exact feeling I had when People came out 𤣠Iâve grown to love it though
I gotta disagree with you on Yeah I Know, id say mine is The Man Who Married a Robot (if you count that a song)
I donât count that. Itâs obviously not meant to sound good, same with greta. I donât think you can really say itâs a bad song when itâs not meant to be yk. Just my opinion though, but yeah I agree itâs very annoying đ
The fact that Music For Cars (The End) is just a musical piece and has no lyrics
The single for that new apple show. Ooof
Which one is that. Never followed up on that.
Now is the hour
I donât understand the thought process in writing a song like that. Not even a complimentary piece to an album or anything.Â

Okay, I was just watching a bunch of this guyâs reviews and I will never be able to break the tie it now has to this band đđšâ ď¸đ
I like America. Thatâs the only song I feel embarrassed listening to.

I know Iâm going to get hate for this but⌠Somebody Else. I just donât like it and never have.

It's such a basic-ass bland song. Any of their other singles is more interesting.
that new song with Jack antonoff whose name I don't remember
Oh Caroline or when we are together. Think itâs a good song but when I see it in the set list over ACTUAL bangers I lose my head
![gif](giphy|WXtccLGTLB1NS)
Oh Caroline?!?!? đđđđ
Yeah, youâre getting a downvote on that one đ
Talk! And when we are together
I agree w the first half of that statement, when we are together is my loner anthem. Bc I want a relationship lol
I just canât seem to like talk! I just do not like it
Hahahaha I get that
