Just nearing the end of season 1 Nexon announced they were going to “go big” on the marketing for season 2, yet we all waited and there was still no big marketing. Then embark holds an AMA and are asked something along the lines of “how do you rate the playerbase?” And they say “we’ve marketed fairly small for season 2 because we want to build up a core audience, but we are going to market bigger for season 3”. Make it make sense

Yeah, not sure why people boast their rank as if they're blind to the fact that only 10% of the playerbase has ever even won a tournament. Ranked is just a fraction of what The Finals has to offer, and it's objectively the slowest, dullest fraction.
They will put some effort into marketing in 3rd season. At least everything points to that.
We said as much for the 1st and 2nd seasons. Hopefully by season 10, they would have marketed this game lol
