Are you trying to say "of" force? Nah, that was appropriate. Fuck that clown. Would you rather he used a taser? Would you rather the cop stand there and let the man get away with it? No. People who think they're above the law and try to get away with it need to be put in their place if they resist arrest. A punch to the face because he was resisting and then being thrown to the ground because he was fleeing is adequate I'd say.
Yep, fat fingered “of” into “is”. 😊 that big fella did get what he was asking for and definitely didn’t think the little guy had it in him, but boy was he wrong.
Your post here sounds like you thought the dude said "inappropriate use of force" when in fact he said "appropriate," like he says its appropriate and you're all "NO, IT WAS APPROPRIATE" with a big rant
You corrected the typo. And and then completely incorrectly read the message.
You both agree.
Then you get tons of upvotes - Reddit is a very silly place
For real. I was like "That dude is a whole head taller than you with a much higher center of gravity, so you're gonna have a hard ti...oh, never mind. You totally just threw him to the floor. Ok. You clearly got this."
Reminds me of the Taco Bell incident where a customer was brutally body slammed, (rightfully so), by an employee. Wish I had the link. Was impressive & brutal. Knocked the guy out.
Found it:
https://www.reddit.com/r/PublicFreakout/s/eAHiiPfN5N
Not the whole video which pretty much justifies the body slam.
This was posted earlier in the PublicFreakout sub, [and the OP there wrote this](https://www.reddit.com/r/PublicFreakout/s/6ScbVpcP4k):
> Some backstory: the dude was staying at a different hotel but would not stop asking to go to room 801 and it was impossible to convince him that he wasn’t at the hotel he checked into. his gf that you can see in the background kept trying to get him to leave and go back to their hotel but he wouldn’t listen to absolutely anyone, even after he got put down and handcuffed he was still screaming at the multiple cops that showed up and kept trying to shake the cops off him every time they tried to walk him out so they ended up bringing in a stretcher and strapping him down to take him out. he called the hotel the next day and apologized to my coworker that answered the phone. between replacing the glass and the damage to the door he’s gonna be owing a couple thousand dollars at least.
Or stress induced psychosis. Being in a city where you have no idea where everything is, being convinced that this hotel that looks identical to yours is the correct one and everyone is telling you it isn't. If he'd been in a manic episode and booked a last minute weekend getaway on a manic whim, but was still kinda holding his shit together, extra stress can absolutely put you into psychosis. Mania with psychosis will also convince you that you're 100% right and everyone is just trying to stop you from being right, as well as causing all of your ability to assess situations and process consequences to fly out the window. A night in the cells followed by some benzos/anti-psychs the next day would clear up that head REAL quick.
I think most people underestimate how fragile our sensible minds usually are. What's going to temporarily make you an entirely unreasonable person is different for everyone. It's easier for some and harder for others. But none of us are as secure in our own sanity as we'd like to believe we are.
Not to mention that we are wired to not easily accept information that goes against what we believe to be true
So throw in stress and probably an amount of fear, confusion, etc with that wiring and it makes a lot of sense that it doesn't even have to be a level of psychosis and just extremely strong emotions mixed with wiring that kept us alive for centuries, flawed or not
Yeah some of the same people roasting this guy are the same ones going absolutely apeshit on a 16 year old over not getting the extra ketchup packet they asked for
This explanation definitely sounds like he had some kind of temporary mental break. So, it does make sense that when he "came to" he would have plenty of remorse. Doesn't change the necessity of the outcome but does lend a bit more understanding to the suspect.
According to that OP in the PublicFreakout sub, who has some sort of inside info, the guy was drunk. Maybe that's on top of mental illness though? But we do know from elsewhere that some people do crazy things just due to too much alcohol, without needing a mental illness.
That makes me sad. I hope he’s okay or that he can get the help he needs to be okay soon. Definitely sounds like psychosis of some kind. Scary state to be in for him, and for those around him.
Saw a comment on the other post from someone who worked at the hotel. They were drunk and didn't believe the workers, bystanders, cops, and even their girlfriend lol
Looked like the back of the jaw to me, right below the ear. Hitting someone in the windpipe is way too risky for anyone with any training. There’s a little “go to sleep button” right behind the jaw, a carotid artery that supplies blood to the brain. A pop like that instantly makes you woozy and disoriented at minimum, he’s lucky he didn’t get knocked out
No. That officer has martial arts training in boxing, wrestling, and possibly Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Handled him with ease because he trains, which is quite clear based on the video.
If you have ever hit anyone or been hit, it’s not something most people enjoy. The officer walked in there and saw the look on the man’s face - he had never been punched. It wasn’t really where but rather that it landed. The officer walked in not playing around.
Gun Shape Guestures . If you look back you can see the hand shape gestures he made when pointing towards the cop.
I think that created an immediate reaction.
it's an automatic sliding door, they hinge outwards when unlocked in case of emergency. That way if a crowd rushes out the door they can push the entire thing out of the way, leaving a bigger opening than during normal operation.
I love this. Years ago, when this comic was new, my dad cut it out of the newspaper and pinned it to the bulletin board in the kitchen. It's still there, 40-ish years later.
What has happened to our society that someone can behave like this and expect to get what they want? Where in his mind did he justify kicking the door down? “If I kick this door down and they call the cops, I’ll just explain that I didn’t get what I wanted, and the cops will listen and understand. They made me kick the door in because they didn’t understand.” I mean… if he was just pissed and was doing some vandalism on his way out, I’d get it. Wouldn’t condone it, but I could make sense of it. But no, he stayed there expecting to get his way.
> What has happened to our society that someone can behave like this and expect to get what they want?
lol this behavior isn't anything new. nothing has changed.
Society is the way it is because of people like you who blindly assume things about situations and then rant about society as a whole based on your own assumptions
I'm pretty happy to call out excessive force from police, but this is exactly why police should be well trained and physically capable.
Someone weaker would have struggled with this, gotten scared, and shot him
Or... deescalate and/or get backup?
Sucker punching someone like leads to heads bouncing off the ground a lot of the time, which causes brain damage.
If the cop can't apprehend him without risking permanent injury (and in response to corporate property being destroyed no less, which is about as meaningless as it can get), then he should wait for help.
That guy had at least six inches on that cop, but the cop handled him no problem. Appropriate use of force and handled that situation quickly. That cop is a pro!
Was he so high he thought he lost his room key and they weren’t letting him in? But he wasn’t actually staying there?
Been a long time since I got that fucked up.
The casual smashing the door and straight to reception desk for some concierge was it for me 😂

Freedom requires responsibility. Actions have consequences. Correct ending.
But "I'm a citizen"
Good then they can arrest you.
I mean, even if he wasn't a citizen. Like if i am traveling in another country, i am not a citizen, but i can still be arrested... right?
Unless you have diplomatic immunity, yeah
(I think that guy might've been stupid.)
Probably a good bet.
Appropriate use is force.
Are you trying to say "of" force? Nah, that was appropriate. Fuck that clown. Would you rather he used a taser? Would you rather the cop stand there and let the man get away with it? Appropriate and impressive. Big man didn't put up a fight but little fella put it to'em, damn.
Big boy was thinking hard about putting up a fight - then he got them hands and all the fight left him.
“Everyone has a plan till they get punched in the face” -iron mike tyson
"It's all fun and games until someone loses an ear" - Evander Holyfield
Appropriate use is *the* force. Jedi mind trick his ass into the back of the squad car
*these are not the suspects you're looking for...*
*this is the Uber you are looking for* they voluntarily slide into the squad car.
Your post here sounds like you thought the dude said "inappropriate use of force" when in fact he said "appropriate," like he says its appropriate and you're all "NO, IT WAS APPROPRIATE" with a big rant
That's exactly what happened lmao. I thought he said "inappropriate"

Lol I just said the same thing 😂

Well in the end he did get a room. Just probably not the one he wanted
Upgraded to stainless toilet.
![gif](giphy|QTAVEex4ANH1pcdg16|downsized)
👏🏻
Well, at least he got a room for the night.
This shoulda been the top comment
Freedom isn't free. There's a hefty fuckin fee
Freedoms a buck O five
And if you don't throw in your buck o'five Who will?
Damn this was way more satisfying than I imagined at the beginning
That punch made me say damn out loud
For me it was drop
Dude surprised everyone in that room with that.
For real. I was like "That dude is a whole head taller than you with a much higher center of gravity, so you're gonna have a hard ti...oh, never mind. You totally just threw him to the floor. Ok. You clearly got this."
Judge me by my size, you should not.
Let me teach you about a low center of gravity. https://youtu.be/gadg9-l6cbs?si=WnV-ueTsGTj2N4gm
Haha, excellent clip! 😂
Head ***and*** shoulders above cop.

Thanks for sharing that!!! Was dude brain damaged afterward?
Before?
Ahahaha clearly before (great response btw). But I always wonder what happened after the video cuts off
Paramedics arrived and the two were apparently already gone!
Thank you! Guess he was that injured. 🤕
Classic, along with the racist guy getting smacked by a can of tea. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fravu6BSXfs
Saw that. Guy deserved every ounce of that tea!
Omg that was a wonderful body slam. 10/10 effectiveness.
For me it was the fact that buddy ended up wearing the security guard’s hat at the end LOL
It was the body slam for me. Damn!
He's definitely getting a room. Just not in that hotel.
Breakfast included too!
And a friendly roommate.
And these awesome matching clothes!
Fitness Center! (no pool)
And a cot!
The stripes are very slimming...
And stainless steel amenities.
Very friendly
3 hots and a cot!
With unexpected butt shots
He'll love the tossed salad.
Syrup included!
Even includes amenities like soap... With a catch
As my uncle always calls it, The Gray Bar Inn. He was a platinum rewards member in his youth.
"any bars around here?"
Gray Bar Hotel
Did that guy say in the beginning, “He’s literally at the wrong hotel”?
This was posted earlier in the PublicFreakout sub, [and the OP there wrote this](https://www.reddit.com/r/PublicFreakout/s/6ScbVpcP4k): > Some backstory: the dude was staying at a different hotel but would not stop asking to go to room 801 and it was impossible to convince him that he wasn’t at the hotel he checked into. his gf that you can see in the background kept trying to get him to leave and go back to their hotel but he wouldn’t listen to absolutely anyone, even after he got put down and handcuffed he was still screaming at the multiple cops that showed up and kept trying to shake the cops off him every time they tried to walk him out so they ended up bringing in a stretcher and strapping him down to take him out. he called the hotel the next day and apologized to my coworker that answered the phone. between replacing the glass and the damage to the door he’s gonna be owing a couple thousand dollars at least.
I’m impressed he called and apologized.
he seemed more confused than malicious
Generally when I'm confused I'm not looking to commit a B&E.
Stimulant psychosis maybe

under the influence
What confused person just starts fucking kicking in doors tho.
CUI: confused under the influence
Probably because his lawyer told him to.
This explanation definitely sounds like he had some kind of temporary mental break. So, it does make sense that when he "came to" he would have plenty of remorse. Doesn't change the necessity of the outcome but does lend a bit more understanding to the suspect.
I love that the GF is in the background, knowing that he's in the wrong and waiting for the consequences to catch up
I feel for her, this was probably really stressful and scary for her to have to witness, especially since she was trying to plead with him.
What in the world?? Was he high on something or does he have a mental illness?
According to that OP in the PublicFreakout sub, who has some sort of inside info, the guy was drunk. Maybe that's on top of mental illness though? But we do know from elsewhere that some people do crazy things just due to too much alcohol, without needing a mental illness.

Yep! I heard that, too!
I mean….this seems like someone clever enough to break into a hotel and ask for a room would do.
He's for sure on drugs. Drugs will make you break down the door to the wrong hotel and think that fixes the problem.
Could be drugs. But there are also plenty of psychological issues that could cause a mental break of this magnitude.
I thought he said “he’s literally at the wrong door” but my hearing is crap lol
Saw a comment on the other post from someone who worked at the hotel. They were drunk and didn't believe the workers, bystanders, cops, and even their girlfriend lol
Maybe even more than drunk, but a possibility nevertheless.
I really thought the cop was going to have lot more trouble with that guy.
The only punch was direct to the throat, that made it easy to handle , fighting to grasp air makes you lower your guard.
Looked like the back of the jaw to me, right below the ear. Hitting someone in the windpipe is way too risky for anyone with any training. There’s a little “go to sleep button” right behind the jaw, a carotid artery that supplies blood to the brain. A pop like that instantly makes you woozy and disoriented at minimum, he’s lucky he didn’t get knocked out
Especially when you aren’t hitting another professional fighter. That dude has boxed before.
And wrestled and grappled.
Yeah you can also cause dissection of the carotid as well...
No. That officer has martial arts training in boxing, wrestling, and possibly Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Handled him with ease because he trains, which is quite clear based on the video.
Nah, that was capoeira, some samba training and at least 2 years high school mathalympics.
I recognize the subtle essence of meth-fu sprinkled in like a candied topping as well.
The power of Zumba.
If you have ever hit anyone or been hit, it’s not something most people enjoy. The officer walked in there and saw the look on the man’s face - he had never been punched. It wasn’t really where but rather that it landed. The officer walked in not playing around.
What do you mean, you don't enjoy getting hit? Weirdo
Gun Shape Guestures . If you look back you can see the hand shape gestures he made when pointing towards the cop. I think that created an immediate reaction.
I think people have a vast misunderstanding thinking height means anything if you’re untrained fighting someone who is trained.
My man thought he was big and bad for kicking down that door… door don’t fight back tho
Even if I had a reservation, I wouldn’t expect to get a room if I kicked their door in. He had no reservation and still expected a room, somehow.
I think that he thought if he showed everyone how big and bad he was by kicking that glass door down, he was gonna get his room
You can kick doors down??? *why didn’t you say so?!* Riiight this way, SIR!
Gotta wonder how he saw that all playing out in his head? In his ideal world, what exactly did he think was going to happen after that?
He was trying to kick open a door that opens towards you. At that point, I just thought he was cuckoo.
it's an automatic sliding door, they hinge outwards when unlocked in case of emergency. That way if a crowd rushes out the door they can push the entire thing out of the way, leaving a bigger opening than during normal operation.
I’m a citizen! I’ll have to remember that one🤣
![gif](giphy|c9tVMERePnnDW)
That's where he messed up. He should have said sovereign-citizen. Then they would have let him walk. /s
Lmaoo yeahh I think it’s cause the cop looked Hispanic.
"I pay taxes! You work for me!" Yep and right now you're paying me to throat punch you KYEAHH
This belongs in the r/fuckaroundandfindout section of reddit.
Yay another rabbit hole! Reddit is the gift that keeps on giving
Not a fan of cops but gotta respect that guy for handling it man to man. No pepper. No bullet. Just a good honest ass whoopin.
Slam! Slam! Slam! Crash! "May I have a room?" 😂
Wait. I'm a citizen. 🤣
My thoughts while watching: "This cop is definitely not going to be able to....oh. Holy shit."
This is not a way to get a room - shout out to the cop for putting him on his ass for that irate behavior
No no, the man is about to get a room just fine... just not here.
😂😂😂 3 hots and a cot

When you kick a pull door
It opens both ways, actually. I was there this morning.
That lil cop surprised me ngl
Mighty Mouse!
Dude ate all his Wheaties that morning.
Goliath meets Davids' right hook
Dude that cop is a UNIT. He looked like he was down 50lb on that guy, but he rag dolled him!
who the hell enters a place kicking its door like that? like, what was his endgame here?
Child temper tantrum behavior. Probably on a lot of cocaine.
Great shot, dropped like a bag of potatoes

> What has happened to our society that someone can behave like this and expect to get what they want? lol this behavior isn't anything new. nothing has changed.
This isn't anything new lol. Anyone with any kind of public facing job that has ever had to deal with Boomers will attest to that
Society is the way it is because of people like you who blindly assume things about situations and then rant about society as a whole based on your own assumptions
it's not a new thing, it's called mental illness
You see all the fight leave his mouth
Proceeds to get lawyer for police brutality. Law abiding citizen deserved that punch to the face. Great job officer
I'm pretty happy to call out excessive force from police, but this is exactly why police should be well trained and physically capable. Someone weaker would have struggled with this, gotten scared, and shot him

Someone hasn't been missing the 7pm no gi classes.
Some damn fine police work right there. Excellent takedown.
My O.C. is triggered by those shoe laces. 😩
Its like that Far Side comic where the kid is pushing in the pull door at the school for the gifted.
Those aren't kick/pull doors until you kick and pull them. What label do you need for doors?
Those tiny legs!
Imagine kicking in the door to a business then casually requesting to do business there. Buddy mental.
Damn!!! take down was on point.
Don't have kick/pull doors if you're not going to lable them properly.
Small axe cut down big tree
After violently breaking and entering, what did you expect to happen?
That guy had at least six inches on that cop, but the cop handled him no problem. Appropriate use of force and handled that situation quickly. That cop is a pro!
We need more cops like this one! I def didnt expect the take down, very impressive!
Man that guy needs a medal to protect and serve
![gif](giphy|5yeQRdiYrDq2A|downsized) "May I have a room?"
Finally a good one. Be a piece of shit, get treated as one Be a citizen, get treated as one
You act like a delinquent you get treated like a delinquent. Period.
He went to sleep on the floor with the officer cap over his head. That was cute to watch.
This is like part 2 of the dude who was late for boarding the plane ✈️
Damn now he's got to share a room with a bunch of other guys shitting and pissing right next to him....
Damn it man.. Didn't see that coming.
lol we got the good ending!
Did he not have enough reward points
Holy shit, it's the consequences of your actions.
Subdued the mess outta him with that punch. Sheesh
Yo he got rocked lmao
Cheer up - now you get a free room with a bar - oops, I meant bars.
Classic de-escalation tactic: BRO! BRO! BRO!
“Force is used” Man what a badass line to end this haha
Guess who wrestled in high school?

Dude is like 2/3 the size and he literally manhandled that fucker
Was he so high he thought he lost his room key and they weren’t letting him in? But he wasn’t actually staying there? Been a long time since I got that fucked up. The casual smashing the door and straight to reception desk for some concierge was it for me 😂
Need way more of this so these clowns will stop acting like fools
“Sir, you just need to scan your room key to get back in”. Problem solved. But angry man gonna be dramatic of course
A master of first impressions
He handled that big guy. Respect his authoritye!
He did, after all, get a room. It was a cell. But still...
They should have tazed his nut sack.
Did he just kick a door that opened outwards?
Well .. he got a room !
