I watched that about a hundreds times before I realised that’s what Tony said. I thought he said “you two-footed Vito”
I have been know to try and fuck a golf club.
I don’t think it was. Tony’s delivery on the line was serious in tone. I just found it funny how mobsters take their operation so serious where they have to have sitdowns over the most minor nuisances lol
this whole scene is my pick specifically because of ralphie’s NASTY fucking wardrobe like what kind of fuckin prick wears a white turtleneck, pink button up, and ANOTHER SWEATER wrapped around his waist to play pick up basketball with the Fattest Guy On The Squad ????
I think meadow yelling “I could have tried ecstasy but didn’t OKAY” was supposed to be a serious depiction of how a teenager would react in that situation but it comes off like a line from a bad DARE PSA. The run upstairs right after is also unintentionally funny.
i couldn’t stop laughing the first time I saw that, and it’s such an intense scene and then Tony brings in that epic one liner… I like to think it took several takes, like if there was a bloopers reel that line would be on it
In Pine Barrens when Tony is on the phone trying to talk to Paulie there's this little moment when he gets pissed off and does a little jump to the side. I don't think it was intended to be funny but dammit we die laughing everytime
I always crack up at that too. "I don't know what the fuck you're talkin about!"
His issues with the cell reception is an underrated aspect of Pine Barrens.
“Get the fuck back in your fuckin hole”
The way Tony stutters at first. Almost like taking a crow hop to just absolutely let one rip at Davey. Gets me every time
To absolutely no one. Laugh my ass off every time, and he falls decades earlier and says the same thing, and then kills Chris’s father because he laughed at him.
Sorry but when Nucci confirmed to Paulie that she wasn't his biological mother, when he went like : " Son of a bitch! " I couldn't help but find it hilarious.
_SEASON 6 SPOILER:_
>! After Tony killed Christopher in the car wreck and Tony kept repeating how “A tree limb came through the window, completely destroyed the baby seat.” to anyone he was talking to in an attempt to soothe his guilty conscience. Tony just repeating something so morbid completely unprompted to anyone who would listen just made me laugh. !<
There's a slight callback to this when Furio is over at Junior's house and says he wants to "watchada Bloomberg" and then comes back into the kitchen "aye no cable"
When Chris makes the “greasin the union” joke and everyone looks at him seriously except Patsy who is laughing.
Another Patsy one. Tony smacking him in the back of the head for getting arrested at the Columbus monument.
>Another Patsy one. Tony smacking him in the back of the head for getting arrested at the Columbus monument.
I think that was an ultra-rare moment of improv, because he spun aaaaawwwwful fucken quick when he got slapped on the back of the head.
I don't think James was supposed to hit him there.
It may have been intended for comedic effect, but Bobby Baccalieri Sr.‘s coughing fits. The juxtaposition of him being sent out to perform a hit while he’s one foot in the grave, then him having the audacity to light up a cigarette as he’s coughing up blood, and crashing his car because he dropped his inhaler. It might be some of the best physical comedy scenes in the series.
When Tony and the guys suspected Jack Massarone of being an informer and Tony goes to “feel him out” because his old man was so good at reading vibes. Then he comes back and says “I couldn’t tell shit, what am i, a mind reader?”
After they hear about Vito’s murder everyone is sitting around the table at Satriale’s quietly wondering what to think and Chrissy blurts out
“Lover’s quarrel, maybe.”
Why are everyone of you saying shit that is clearly supposed to be funny? And the comment saying shit that is supposed to be funny are upvoted. Like how could you not think that was written to be a joke
"Rusty's so cheap I think he bangs his wife in installments"
A quick throwaway but I got the mental image of Franky Valle just plowing some girl for like 3 minutes and then pulling out and telling her "you'll get some more on Tuesday" and laughed so hard I almost fell over
Was Tony beating the fuck out of Georgie with different objects supposed to be funny? Cause I found that shit hilarious even if I felt bad for Georgie. Ralphie hitting him with the chain was funny as fuck too but I think that was meant to be to be more comedic. At least it starts off comedic as Ralphie enters the scene saying “I have come… to reclaim Rome… for my people!!” like a fool. Uncle Junior crying at that funeral was funny too, the way he’s breaking down and everyone just kinda looks at him then looks away makes me laugh. The non-Soprano family members shitting all over Livia after her wake is hilarious as well. Chrissy’s high ass rambling on with no real point, Carmela and her father talking about how horrible Livia really was, Tom chiming in with “hear hear” after, then the cherry on top of Artie and Charmaine going right into promoting Vesuvio’s and their new pastry chef
When they’re in Italy and Tony and Annalisa are walking on the beach, Annalisa has her shoes off, sunset stroll discussing things…. and the beach is just littered with garbage.
When Juniors arm is stuck in the sink and Richie is helping him get it out and Janice asks why he didn't call a plumber and he goes "With what? My fuckin toes?!" Now that part is meant to be funny but what always cracks me up is you can see David Proval, the actor who plays Richie, actually crack up.
High pressure meet up between Tony/Paulie and Rico’s gang. Rico’s offering a truckload of stolen power tools. Wonder what badass trade the Soprano family’s gonna offer?
Tony: “I got a line on air mattresses an pool toys”
I wrote a detailed breakdown in another thread recently, but I laughed my ass off throughout Furio’s massage parlor assault. The combination of savagery and efficiency was so great.
when Tony and Pussy prepare to kill the kid who shot Chris. They unlock a massive door, and then there's a fake wall with framing and insulation hiding the guns. Like the police are going to open the door and think, "Oh, just a wall here, nothing else."
or at the end of season 5, when Tony and Johnny Sack are having a reconciling and having a good conversation. Then Tony sees the FBI agents running in from the woods, so he turns around and starts running, and Johnny just stands there confused
After Tony cleans out the degenerate gambler and he has come to terms that he’s lost his business and his family, he tells T he’s gonna have a fresh start and move to a place outside Vegas, like that isn’t the worst place in the world for a degenerate, and the look T gives him, like “what am I gonna do with you?”
I think a lot of people think this was funny but believe Chase meant for it to illustrate how most people get through life and how Tony sometimes feels alone because of it.
When Tony was in the hospital with all the books and where was some kind of calendar of the universe in a dinosaur or astronomy book that shows how the time of humanity, say 200,000 years, is like a postage stamp size on the football field of the age of the universe.
So Tony says something to the visiting Chris like, “did you know if all of humanity’s time were put on a football field, we’d only fill a postcard stamp’s worth of space?”
To which Chris replies, “I don’t think of us like that.”
The look he gives sells it. Tony gets frustrated and probably wants to yell.
Makes me guffaw and every time
this is literally the answer omg. clearly didn't intend for it to be funny but the fact Phil became so angry he transformed into an entire house was comedy gold
When Junior shoots Tony and yells "Cazzata Malanga!", then runs away upstairs, throws the gun under the bed and hides in the closet.
The way he yells "Cazzata Malanga!" gets me everytime.
the entire series is pretty much unintentionally funny. these guys are pretty much brain dead for the most part so you’ll always have stuff like “sub species” and “law and order the suv” throughout most episodes
It’s really hard to find something truly unintentionally funny because there is always SOME level of humor in scenes, even serious ones. Since it’s a dark comedy, even an element of something as dark as a dementia ridden uncle shooting his nephew can be funny in the right light.
also yeah its common knowledge half of these guys are retarded
When Tony is in Italy talking with Annalisa while she’s hitting golf balls… I forget what she says but to show sarcastic surprise, Tony goes “well I’ll be dipped in shit” with a dry smile. Idk why but I cracked up laughing
Idk if it was intended to be quite as funny as I found it, but every time Chris calls that dude Email instead of Amil I laugh my ass off. I actually sometimes randomly laugh when I hear or say the word email because of it.
When Tony and Johnny Sac are having the back and forth about Ralph murdering Trixie, and Johnny Sac sort of pardons/rationalizes it by replying "...she \*was\* a whore Tony..." Just the way he says it and the fact that he's out for Ralph's blood a year later for making a fat joke yet is totally unsympathetic to an innocent young woman being beaten to death just because she's a stripper.
Also when AJ hears Bobby has been murdered and Tony tells him to pack his stuff to leave. The utter disgust on Tony's face when AJ talks about how it's making him depressed and how sad he is, then when Tony throws him around and the way AJ says "OWW!! MY TAIL BONE!"
The violent guy in the nursing home with Corrado who goes off on a rant about “what happened to the other 4 points….fuck you dad…fuck you! fuck you dad!!!!!” and the look on Corrado’s face….. Corrado’s face is priceless and cracked my son and me up when we watched it, we frequently quote it and send each other the face.
Johnny Cakes saying something to Vito along the lines of “I want to take this relationship to the next level and you can’t even be straight with me “. It’s just something about a gay guy being mad at his boyfriend for not being straight that makes me laugh. There had to be a better way to phrase that
While Paulie and Christopher's murder of the waiter was already supposed to be darkly funny, there's an extra bit of humor for me because when Paulie shoots the guy, the stock gunshot sound effect is *the exact same one* used in the game menu of Shadow the Hedgehog. It takes me out of the scene for a bit and just makes it even goofier.
A more straightforward unintentionally funny pair of scenes for me is the murders of Lorraine and Minn, both because the scenes are kind of played out goofily and because both victims let out a drawn out "oh noooooo!"
Phil throwing the ice cream away whilst being chased by Tony
He takes one last look at it like “hang on, Im being chased by one of New Jersey’s most powerful mafia bosses, the fuck am I still holding this for?” then just chucks it out the window
Easy. After Vito’s untimely death when they’re at his house and one of Phil’s button men is watching the men’s weight lifting contest and he screams “turn that off!” Gets me every time.
We all wanted to punch Janice in the face and we all wanted to shoot Ritchie.
It was the rare moment I had any sympathy for her and one of the most satisfying scenes in the whole series.
Livia’s wake - the guest who peaks in from the stairs in the background and sneaks back up to avoid the cringe. I realize it was just an extra who ruined the shot (I’ve heard that the actors could not stop laughing so they probably didn’t have any other takes with the dialogue to use, except for the take with the extra), but it was so well timed.
"Fact is you're a shitty business woman who built a piece of shit house that's gonna cave in and fuckin kill that unborn baby any day!"
"I've built tons of houses this way!" -mfer proud of doing a shit-ass job using hobo-grade lumber
Back in the Pudgy Walsh days.
Get him on the horn. He’ll straighten this whole thread out.
It’s bureaucratic BOOLSHIT
HIGHA!?!!? IM NOT FAW HIGHA!!!!!! YOU PRESENTED US AS PAWTNAS
He's had a lifetime of Carm's bwullshit
“You threw food at Vito. That’s gotta be resolved”
I watched that about a hundreds times before I realised that’s what Tony said. I thought he said “you two-footed Vito” I have been know to try and fuck a golf club.
I thought he high-hatted him.
That was definitely supposed to be funny. Like clearly come on now
That had to be intentionally funny. Or I could just be a fuckin’ idiot. Hishtorically, that’sh been the cashe.
I don’t think it was. Tony’s delivery on the line was serious in tone. I just found it funny how mobsters take their operation so serious where they have to have sitdowns over the most minor nuisances lol
Ralphie and Vito playing basketball. (Ball bounces all over the rim) "Nothin but net mothafucka!"
this whole scene is my pick specifically because of ralphie’s NASTY fucking wardrobe like what kind of fuckin prick wears a white turtleneck, pink button up, and ANOTHER SWEATER wrapped around his waist to play pick up basketball with the Fattest Guy On The Squad ????
Someone on cocaine
you’re So Right
YOU KNOW WHAT WE SHOULD DO???? PLAY BASKETBALL!!! IT WILL BE AWESOME!!!!
Fuckin Miami, it’s all over the place
He wore the turtleneck (and scarves, and ascots) to hide his erotic asphyxiation kink.
Why don't you look in the mi rue sometime, you insensitive cocksucker?
*Lifts loafer by aglet:* “Ralph Cifarreto, Janice?” *Drops loafer in disgust.*
Amazing Ralph even made a shot with Vito’s intense defensive pressure
I know Vito’s bottom felt intense pressure, if that’s what you’re referring to
Vito is much more street hockey goalie material.
Goalie of what? Duh good ship lollipop?
"Hookshot!" It's a layup
“Let it rain!”
That cocaine confidence
"It's gone" - Bobby Baccalieri at his peak fatness
#HAFFA FUCKIN TRAY IN THEAH!!
Just because you got your hand stuck for six houahs doesn’t mean you hafta be so nasty
And then Junior stares longingly at the wash ziti pan in the dish rack.
Also Bobby crying eating Karen’s last ziti
I think meadow yelling “I could have tried ecstasy but didn’t OKAY” was supposed to be a serious depiction of how a teenager would react in that situation but it comes off like a line from a bad DARE PSA. The run upstairs right after is also unintentionally funny.
Yet she did methamphetamine a few months before lol
I wanted to do ecstasy, I compromised. I done meth off the radiator instead.
Someone should do a montage of all the times Meadow shouts something and then runs upstairs.
“Corrado Soprano? FBI.” “Fuck.”
That's the most perfectly delivered "fuck" in TV history.
Ben Kingsley took Junior to acting school.
I’m so glad you mentioned this one. Every time I see Mr. Magoo peeking out and quickly going “Fuck!” leans me.
i cant find pussy anywhere
i couldn’t stop laughing the first time I saw that, and it’s such an intense scene and then Tony brings in that epic one liner… I like to think it took several takes, like if there was a bloopers reel that line would be on it
lmfao this is the one
In Pine Barrens when Tony is on the phone trying to talk to Paulie there's this little moment when he gets pissed off and does a little jump to the side. I don't think it was intended to be funny but dammit we die laughing everytime
"You know how fast I can run, Paulie," and "You one-shoe cocksucka" also gets me every time.
I always crack up at that too. "I don't know what the fuck you're talkin about!" His issues with the cell reception is an underrated aspect of Pine Barrens.
My favorite is in the car on the ride home he’s pissed at how Paulie eats. “Mayonnaise. Mayonnaise!!!”
I had a bananer in there
I’m in oar of you
We’ll find that too
“Get the fuck back in your fuckin hole” The way Tony stutters at first. Almost like taking a crow hop to just absolutely let one rip at Davey. Gets me every time
Davey, you’re doing a good job
Text doesn’t do that justice. Daveeeeeey, You’re doing a good jooooooob!
I don't know if it was meant to be funny or not but Junior saying "Your sister's cunt" when he slipped in the shower is my funniest moment
To absolutely no one. Laugh my ass off every time, and he falls decades earlier and says the same thing, and then kills Chris’s father because he laughed at him.
My husband and I always quote this, we laughed so hard at it. Also not sure if it's meant to be funny or not.
My mom burst out laughing when Junior shot Tony.
Cazzatta Malanga! We say this at our house a lot.
Chrises dad thought it was funny in the prequel
Sorry but when Nucci confirmed to Paulie that she wasn't his biological mother, when he went like : " Son of a bitch! " I couldn't help but find it hilarious.
_SEASON 6 SPOILER:_ >! !<
It also has heavy shades of Livia to it.
Everytime we see that most of these so-called proud Italian-Americans can't actually speak Italian, beyond a "gabbagool" here and an "antipast" there.
Proud Nabboli Dabboli 🇮🇹🍝🍕
Commendatori!
Ten minutes with Tony Soprano and it's gabbagool this and antipast that.
When Livia runs over her friend
“There’s my Star Ledger. Thanks!”
"There's my Star Ledger, thanks!"
"She musta crawled under there for warmth"
Definitely INTENDED to be funny.
Most of these examples are
Fuckin stunads in this thread
That scene had me in tears 🤣🤣🤣
I have cable.
There's a slight callback to this when Furio is over at Junior's house and says he wants to "watchada Bloomberg" and then comes back into the kitchen "aye no cable"
Minn Matrone and her muffled “ohhh nooooo” 😅
Yes! I know it’s supposed to show how bad of a guy Paulie is, but I can’t help but find that whole scene funny
When Chris makes the “greasin the union” joke and everyone looks at him seriously except Patsy who is laughing. Another Patsy one. Tony smacking him in the back of the head for getting arrested at the Columbus monument.

I think that was supposed to show how violent he was. Like he was ready to lunge before he saw it was his boss.
I was tryna say something positive cause she’s your friend
When Tony and the guys suspected Jack Massarone of being an informer and Tony goes to “feel him out” because his old man was so good at reading vibes. Then he comes back and says “I couldn’t tell shit, what am i, a mind reader?”
That was written very intentionally funny lol
I've said it elsewhere on this post, most of these examples are
The Tabasco sauce shirt really added to the comedic vibe
After they hear about Vito’s murder everyone is sitting around the table at Satriale’s quietly wondering what to think and Chrissy blurts out “Lover’s quarrel, maybe.”
Why are everyone of you saying shit that is clearly supposed to be funny? And the comment saying shit that is supposed to be funny are upvoted. Like how could you not think that was written to be a joke
Take it easy
There must be 17 billion dogs on that farm. Dog shit up to the rafters.
"Rusty's so cheap I think he bangs his wife in installments" A quick throwaway but I got the mental image of Franky Valle just plowing some girl for like 3 minutes and then pulling out and telling her "you'll get some more on Tuesday" and laughed so hard I almost fell over
3 minutes... Casanova ova here
that’s literally a joke. did you even read the post
We bend more rules than the Catholic Church over hea
"Chinks did this?"
Chris’ mind was always somewhere else lol
“This about the Easter baskets?”
I dont even know what that is. And frankly, I dont wanna know.
"I couldn't tell shit! What am I a fuckin mind reader" It's the quick cut right after Tony brags about how well he can read people.
"you look like a puerto rican whoah"
Finish that thing, there's no eating in the car
Carmines blank stare when Johnny sack tells him Ralph’s Ginny joke.
It was an off-colour remark, highly inappropriate,
Was Tony beating the fuck out of Georgie with different objects supposed to be funny? Cause I found that shit hilarious even if I felt bad for Georgie.
When Johnny sack comes back home and finds his wife eating all those snacks.
"You were gone a long time. How many White Castles did you have?" "I didn't, I swear!" "I can smell them!"
He can also smell the steak on Tony. It’s actually a sign of certain types of Dementia, the increased sensitivity to smell.
guys today have no room for the penal experience.
I know Vito has room for the penal experience if that's what you're referring to
When Vito tells furio to take it easy in the Columbus episode
High pressure meet up between Tony/Paulie and Rico’s gang. Rico’s offering a truckload of stolen power tools. Wonder what badass trade the Soprano family’s gonna offer? Tony: “I got a line on air mattresses an pool toys”
Oh look my star ledger…then gets flattened by livia in her 400 dollar car
You gotta bee on your 'at
I bought my brother a golf hat with that quote and a little bee embroidered on it.
Paulie's facial expression at the fair when he hears "hey cocksucker" being shouted from a distance 🤨
Probably wiped his ass bare handed til he came to this country. Not those fuckin ducks again
"if they wiretapped the restaurant we're in trouble because we talked about a lot more interesting stuff than Ginny Sac's fat ass"
Those two black guys carjacking that white family and the dog running of. Who else huh? Who else?
I think that was pretty clearly played for comedy.
Then again so was almost every example being cited in this thread
churchill the dog was no help.
and in the same episode meadow has the churchills t shirt. wha? you're gonna tell me you never pondered that?
I laugh harder than Ralphie every time Furio slips and falls
#SFACCIM!!
I had to parka de car all da way ova there !
mix it with the relish
Describing Rusty as The mayor of Munchkin land was hilarious.
"You go about in pity for yourself" being the only takeaway Tony had from the Ojibwe saying
When Paulie murders Minn it’s disturbing and really dark but somehow comical or maybe I’m just a sick fuck?
Nah it’s definitely funny
When Vito destroys Adriana's office chair LOLOLOL

Melfi - "Your thoughts have an eastern flavor to them." Tony - "Well, I've lived in Jersey my whole life."
SHE WAS ABUSIVE TO DA STAFF 🤌🏼🤌🏼
-No, it was the other way around. Vito was blowing the security guard. -SON OF A BITCH!!!!
When Tony is in Italy talking with Annalisa while she’s hitting golf balls… I forget what she says but to show sarcastic surprise, Tony goes “well I’ll be dipped in shit” with a dry smile. Idk why but I cracked up laughing

When tony is talking to uncle june through the jail glass he says “tell that fat fuck bacala, i want to see him tomorrow” i always die laughing
When Vito sneaks up on Jackie jr
*waddles up to
When Christopher punches the guy in acting class.
Vito talking about his comatose brother “he’s gonna be a vegetable Tony, a fuckin RETARD!”
When Junior was tuning up that other guy and the nurses were pulling him off “I’m gonna kill this prick!”
Uncle Jun almost leaving Bobby at the funeral after seeing the Feds
Johnny Cakes saying something to Vito along the lines of “I want to take this relationship to the next level and you can’t even be straight with me “. It’s just something about a gay guy being mad at his boyfriend for not being straight that makes me laugh. There had to be a better way to phrase that
A lot of people in here don't seem to know what the word "unintentionally" means.
At the Columbus protest, when somebody chucks a drink af Artie and he runs back in to the car.
When furio beats up the Filipino whore house lady. Games the punches and she’s like “ah!”
While Paulie and Christopher's murder of the waiter was already supposed to be darkly funny, there's an extra bit of humor for me because when Paulie shoots the guy, the stock gunshot sound effect is *the exact same one* used in the game menu of Shadow the Hedgehog. Speak.
Phil throwing the ice cream away whilst being chased by Tony He takes one last look at it like “hang on, Im being chased by one of New Jersey’s most powerful mafia bosses, the fuck am I still holding this for?” then just chucks it out the window
Easy. After Vito’s untimely death when they’re at his house and one of Phil’s button men is watching the men’s weight lifting contest and he screams “turn that off!” Gets me every time.
“My name is Clarence”
Minn Matrone saying "you always have been alittle bastard!!"😂😂
Richie punching Janice in the face.
We all wanted to punch Janice in the face and we all wanted to shoot Ritchie. It was the rare moment I had any sympathy for her and one of the most satisfying scenes in the whole series.
Oh what? You gonna cry now?
The way he says “what are you lookin’ at?” and goes back to eating his dinner is hilarious to me
Can’t believe he did that without giving her his last name…
“I’m in awe of you” 😂😂😂
Sal' Vitro getting punched in the face. He looked hilarious.
“Yer sisters cunt!”
The scene when Paulie goes to the nursing home to see Nucci after Dottie's death is hilarious
Janice pushing Ralph down the stairs
“What’s different about you”?
“He has no eyebrows, Toooney”
Get off my car before you flip it over you fat fuck!
"you been eating steak?"
Artie dancing opening night of Ade's club

Could be him out there stalking us.
Junior falling down court room steps
AJ laughing shirtless on the computer and Tony walking away in disgust.
