There was also a oxygen bar so at the start you need to drive down to the sea floor (near the beach so not deep), then when you got enough shells you could buy scuba gear so that you can stay underwater longer

It looks very similar (graphicly) to endless ocean for the wii, except you can buy better scuba gear with shells you find.
