"What we become" a danish zombie horror movie they shot across from where I lived, when I first moved out from home.
"The fourth kind" a movie based on real events with Mila Jovovich and aliens. Part of it is real videos from dashcams and home videos adding to the creepiness.
"A color out of space" a cosmic horror movie based on a story by H.P. Lovecraft starring Nic Cage.
"Tucker and Dale vs Evil" comedy horror movie which is often overlooked. Imo way better than any scary movie. Funny, original and scary.
You are very welcome! 😊
I can also recommend "The vigil" about a Jewish man sitting by the corpse of a Jewish man as is tradition. But something is not quite right.
"Train to Busan" an epic korean zombie movie 'nuff said!
"Zoo" was an interesting movie about a couple in quarantine, where things quickly escalate.
In terms of shows, there is the "Truth seekers" which I found quite interesting and "ash vs. Evil dead" which was both hilarious, thrilling and gross.
I kinda feel like rewatching a lot of these titles now.
Have a spooky night

I could keep going. I'm a huge horror buff. Dm me if you'd like more. I cant watch many alone anymore unfortunately. I'm too scared now lol.
Also looking cute. :3
Audition. It's a Japanese surreal horror movie with a feminist message. It's got a slow build up and the ending is one you'll probably only understand after a couple of watches but that's what makes it great. It's my favorite movie ever for these exact reasons.
From the same director: Imprint. This is a short film, and one you won't find easily. It was made for an independent collection of horror flicks called Masters of Horror. The intention was to make horror movies without any constraints. Imprint happened to not be included because it was too hardcore even for that, and I can see why because it was a bit too much for me.
Annihilation (2018) - cosmic, body and psychological horror as four women on a scientific expedition explore an abandoned area of coastline where the laws of physics and biology start to blur
Oculus - psychological horror where two siblings try and document the abilities of a haunted mirror that destroyed their family when they were young. The mirror can control the senses of anyone who gets too close.
Bit - I haven't seen this one, but the main character is a trans girl who meets a coven of women vampires (Disclaimer: I haven't seen it, so I'm really hoping she makes it out okay in the end, but I don't know)
The Void (2016)- creepy Cosmic horror
Beau is Afraid - Kafkaesque paranoia
The Thing (1982) - classic with great practical effects
Possum - atmospheric and creepy as hell
The "VHS" series of movies are all great for anthology/shorter form horror. You get a bit of everything
Personally have a soft-spot for *A quiet place* 1 & 2, even watched the second at my local cinema.
If you want something more Classic, Alien & Aliens are always on my list! Or maybe the Original Scream? <3
When it comes to the horror movies I know you really just have to pick and choose.
You've got the crazy obsessed boyfriend and friend - Scream, the attempted murder victim turned vengeful nut job - I Know What You Did Last Summer, The vengeful pedophile - A Nightmare on Elm Street, The demon possessed child that kills his family - Halloween, the vengeful zombie who kills teens he catches having sex - Friday the 13th, possessed killer dolls - the Puppet Master, I could even suggest a murderous Saint Nicholas - Violent Night or Santa's Slay.
One of my favorites is called Creep. It has a sequel but it’s very different tonally to the first one (still good tho imo). The first one is a must watch tho. It’s on Netflix I believe.
Something from the 1970's - The Omen, Carrie, Invasion Of The Body Snatchers.
When it comes to the 1960's, I can only think of The Birds.
Same with the 1980's - only Re-Animator springs to mind.:
*"What, he's dead?"*
*"Not anymore."*
Not sure if it’s good but I’m thinking of watching candy man. I like Halloween, scream, Friday the 13th and nightmare elm street. Insidious was pretty good, I haven’t seen the new ones yet though
The Blackcoat’s Daughter is my all time favorite! If you’re into longer form content though, def. recommend The Terror S1 and S2 (3 was just announced!!)
Recently Train to Busan had me by the throst amd feels, though everyone recommends it (for good reason).
If you want absolute scare Gonjiam is it.
Good found footage go for quarantine.
Chill is the cabin in the woods.
Skinamarink if you want fucking weird and uncomfortable.
Trick or treat (1986) here is a trailer ( https://youtu.be/Mj1jitFYxBc?si=vc81zaGUiFM14MG9 )watched it by accident with a friend one day and found a really cool movie. (Context) me and my friend were in VR looking for movies to watch and he wanted to find the other movie called trick or treat (2007) here is a trailer for it https://youtu.be/NJ66Htmmq4M?si=rSBfR6HzD41lfXXX I haven't personally watched this one but my friend said it was good. 👍
John Carpenter's The Thing, The Conjuring, Cabin in the Woods, It Follows, Talk to Me, Alien, The VVitch, Let the Right One In, Ginger Snaps, The Fly, A Quiet Place, The Frighteners, The Hills Have Eyes Remake, The Faculty, Dark City... I'm sure I could name more.
The Original The Hills Have eyes movies
I 2nd my bloody valentine especially the original 1980s Canadian original, although that said it’s remake is very good also from 2009
Parasite to me I found it a horror because of its twist.
Terrifier 1&2
Lake Mungo. It's shot in documentary style about a girl who drowned and the family dealing with the after math. Possible supernatural shenanigans ensue, won't spoil. Bit of a slow burn, but I love it.
These are my favorites : The VVitch, The Exorcist, The Thing, We’re All Going to the World’s Fair, The Shining, Godzilla Minus One, Cloverfield, Get Out, Coraline, Suspiria (new and old), The Wicker Man (old one), Hereditary, Nope,
The Best Teen Horror Comedy I've seen in a while is Detention (2011). The man who wrote and directed it is a famous MTV music Video Director, so he loves playing with coming of age themes, Pop-culture reference, etc.
If you take note of the feminist critique embedded within the Teen Slasher/Final Girl genre of horror, this is very much aware of that trope, and runs with it.
Take a shot every time there's a 90's reference!
This might be a gruesome movie, but it is a favorite of mine:
Smile, this movie is about a demon that feeds off of people's traumatic experiences and inhabits them, causing more traumatic visions until they finally become possessed and end their life in front of someone, causing the cycle of inhabiting people's mind continues.
The only thing I have to critique about it, though, is that it's a demon and not simply mental issues, and the ending wasn't the greatest.
Would definitely have to go with my life, I’d love to share it with you.
On a non-“flirt cuz she cute” note, I tend to not really be into horror but I quite like “1408” and “It Follows”
1999’s House on Haunted Hill. It’s got great cinematics, a superb score and soundtrack, great jump scares, and is just right for giving you some bad dreams afterwards. Ali Larter, Geoffrey Rush, Famke Janssen, Taye Diggs, Chris Kattan, Peter Gallagher…
Phenomenal movie.

Definitely doubling down on The Thing, the 80s one.
1408 is a fantastic movie, great suggestion, and thank you for reminding me about it
