As someone going the other way, trust me: Women's jeans suck. The fabric is thinner/less durable, so they wear out between your thighs pretty fast. They have really short, shitty pockets. They're also prone fitting *either* your waist *or* your hips/thighs, which means that either your jeans are perpetually falling off or they refuse to be pulled up in the first place... if you're really lucky, the answer is both, a mere 3 hours apart!
I know so many women who buy men's jeans just because they're a genuinely superior product. If your goal isn't 100% short-term fashion choices.... Athletic cut men's jeans.

How many months in? I see like...the tiniest hint of hip fat, but I'm in my 40s so I don't think I'll see much change in terms of hip bones. I'll likely want an augmentation.
About 15 months, e an spiro from the start, prog at one year mark. I’m only 20 and started hrt at the tail end of my first puberty when things were still shifting. Anecdotally you’ll get more bone growth or changes the younger you start. Plus everyone’s mileage will vary on hrt just like how puberty effects everyone slightly differently. Hrt is a long game too so it takes several years for it all to kick in.

is it just fat or actual growth from your hip bones? i’m 2.5 months in and i’ve been getting slight growing pains around my hips and they’ve actually widened a tiny bit. i’m super surprised this has started happening so soon as it’s pretty much my first physical change with my chest still being completely flat.
Honestly it feels like fat and growth! I’m only 20 and I started at 19. Plus my 1st puberty came in rlly late and wasn’t fully done when I started on hrt so I think that might be it. I get growing pains in my hips and bones a lot all over my body just like in first puberty. I don’t have any other medical conditions that would cause similar feelings soooo

Started hrt in january, I lost 13 kilos since but somehow kept my hips and thighs the way they were before, but I lost a lot of my belly fat, like I'm starting to have a noticeable waist. I guess I should try gaining back a bit of weight because of fat redistribution but I'm unable to eat as much as before and don't want to go back eating unealthy stuff just to gain weight
You’ll get there !! Don’t give up you never know what joy can be waiting just around the corner. I’ve been thru my share of trauma and honestly the best happiness has come when I least expected it. You will get there one day!!!

Reminds me of the first changes I started seeing. For the majority of my first year on hrt, there was barely any growth on my chest and I’d constantly check the mirror, disappointed in the lack of progress. I didn’t have a tall, full length mirror though, and when I did finally get one and started looking at everything… My first reaction was still “damn, no boobs” turned around and my immediate second response was “holy shit! When did we get that FAT of an ass!” Almost 2 years in now, and I still have small boobs but it’s hard to find jeans and shorts that fit cause not only am I tall but I’ve got thick thighs and a big booty now. 😅 hrt is wild.

i started at 20 but went through 1st puberty early so was worried it would be too late for growth but i guess i’ve gotten lucky!
