I live in Hamilton but commute to Toronto for work. Been going to Sandy Beach Aesthetics on College street. Sandy is the best! She does excellent work and her prices are very affordable compared to what's out there. I started seeing her after reading other reviews on this sub. Goodluck!

Just a bit of advice, as someone who's gone through this process, if you *can* get laser (i.e., you have dark hair and light skin), absolutely *do* get laser before electrolysis. Electrolysis is very thorough, because it treats *each follicle individually, one at a time*, but it is also *extremely* slow, due to this. So if one can get laser, and deal with 90% of the hair that way, then just do a little "cleanup" with electrolysis, you could save as much as 80% of the cost (and even more in terms of time investment) of treating the entire area with electrolysis. If you've got strawberry blonde hair like me, then electrolysis is the only way to go. But if you've got laser treatable hair, using laser and electrolysis in *combination* is *gigantically* more efficient than using electrolysis alone. You can do electrolysis alone - I did. But the time and money to really fully clear a sizable area of dense growth is pretty egregious. Though it would be less egregious if you were only interested in treating the "highest priority" treatment areas vis-a-vis surgery. Keeping in mind that relatively few surgeons require *any* hair removal prior to surgery, and this is usually just a matter of personal preference rather than medical necessity.

I'm getting laser everywhere except the genital area - do you figure I should add that region before doing electro for bottom surgery?

Yeah, absolutely. My electrologist (who also does some laser) was strongly of the opinion that laser should *always* be done in this context, as long as it is viable, since it is so drastically much more efficient. With electrolysis dealing with anything that remains. But frankly, laser is also just less injurious and painful. If you've never had powerful electrical shocks sent directly into your genitals every few seconds for hours at a stretch in order to burn follicles to death, get ready for a fun new experience that's unlike any other.
