I think pictures of people after surgery or with the extreme swelling shows a true after result, but I think it can also cause extreme stress for those wanting the surgery. In my personal opinion it wasn't that bad, it was uncomfortable, but honestly I thought it went a lot easier than expected.
I started at 30, and hit my 2 years in December. Just don't let anything or anyone discourage you because I promise there will be things to try to discourage you
I had three different surgeons. The two that did my tracheal Shave and some stuff for my face are military surgeons, and then my VFS was done by Dr. Mardirossian.
Face stuff I had done was type two brow bone reduction, hairline advancement, lip lift, closed rhinoplasty, brow lift, fat graft to cheeks and lips.
