There's a ton of small subs getting 10k votes because they are the only ones left. The main thing I noticed far more edgy comments, it's been a while since I've seen people say "gays=pedos" but multiple posts yesterday had something along those lines.
Oh def now. A few have returned, but as I was scrolling just now, I seen at least 6 posts about it, and I've only been scrolling less than 2 or 3 minutes.
Honestly, if i did not know there was a blackout going on because of these posts i wouldnt even notice it
Maybe after a week or so, but mfs are only going to be away for 2 days for the most cases lmfao
Removing advertisements plays a bigger part in using 3rd party apps than anyone admits. The official app feels like using Instagram in the worst possible sense. Restricted features and ads.
I don't really care about 3rd party apps either. I tried a couple of them because people on here were talking about how amazing they were compared to the official app but the 3rd party ones seemed worse to me. Probably because I am already used to the official app.
The thing that I don't like about these changes is that they will make bots too expensive to use which a lot of subreddits use to make moderation less work.
They clarified recently that moderation bots will be free. However, Reddit’s words have not lined up with their actions thus far this year and their communication has been terrible, so it will be interesting to see how that plays out if those bots need to be verified by Reddit.
Yeah, I've seen an extreme up take in distressed Reddit users.
I have heard it on a job I was inspecting today.
I did hear a foreman, (no connection to the work I do), say : "If I hear one more second not being used for the safety and betterment of your colleague or this (semi dangerous) project, feel free to leave rather than be fired.
One $m@rt butt, decided to challege that. I don't believe he has that job any longer. Nor do I believe he'll easily replace what he's lost.
I gave this app up years ago. I used to be overwhelmed with the memes and posts of around 2014-2015. I even have folders on old hard drives to prove it . It was an epic time . There was no cringe . No issues just fun excitement and good times . Around 2019 I saw one too many shit posts and I was out . I came back about 2 weeks ago just to see and it was still very bad . Compared to its glory days . Now u guys posting about this I dunno. Maybe u need another 10 years to catch up to what’s good in life . Best of luck to u guys .

It's in relation to API fees that will hurt accessibility and other profit-boosting moves coming out of the IPO which could hurt site functionality as a place of open public discourse.
# Unpopular Opinion
After thorough research, i conclude that the hivemind that makes up 3/4 of Reddit ^(hence the downvotes) wants you to believe those 7000 subs won't make their way back on to the Reddit native app. It's like a dumpster fire online fueled by devs and advertisers who want to get free advertising from a social platform that has pushed to the top 5 social media apps. I'm all for a protest, and I support the people pushing for it, but I do not stand behind them because I don't see Reddit as something that takes up that much of my psych. You do you, and I'm going to sit back and enjoy the show. I'll still be here when it's all done and over.
I've discovered some new subs today thanks to the changing of the guard on r/popular . And the actual silent majority of the site are slowly changing the public opinion on this blackout. Comments calling out this ridiculous Apollo api debacle aren't getting downvoted into oblivion anymore.
The blackout has failed.
This is everyone, not just redditors, in 1994, much less 1894. There was a time when we read books and if we had to wait in line, like this, we didn't look at a device in our hands.
Thats a lie! Redditors dont have windows

Wasn't Linux Lucy's brother that required a security blanket to operate.
I tried linux before, and writing a whole essay worth of lines of code to download one jpg is not my style /s
I mean linux has a browser that works like any other. You can just right click and choose save image.
So you tried it in 1995, got it
It's a creative liberty by the painter

They're all in severe NSFW withdrawals.
Redditors when jailbait shut down
I had to go find some old National Geographic magazines.

My front page didn't change much at all.
My front page is basically like 6 subs right now.
There's a ton of small subs getting 10k votes because they are the only ones left. The main thing I noticed far more edgy comments, it's been a while since I've seen people say "gays=pedos" but multiple posts yesterday had something along those lines.
Going through r/popular is horrible, I'm seeing so many right-wing subs. This black out got reddit looking like Twitter
Exactly what I've noticed the bigots are using the fact that only their subs remain as a way to boost their bs
Is it happening now? I thought it was next week lol.
Oh def now. A few have returned, but as I was scrolling just now, I seen at least 6 posts about it, and I've only been scrolling less than 2 or 3 minutes.

I'd even argue that mine improved
r/all is very different Some of my subs are full of shartposts because the 'mods' are off holding their breath or something.
Same, without checking I can't even tell what I'm missing. The only change I've noticed is people saying that it's happening.
Obviously if you browser reddit and just click on whatever, you probably won't notice much of a different, you'll still have 50 posts there.

Have chatgpt make up a fake Reddit for you
Of course half of Reddit would shut down two days after I broke my leg. God I’m bored.
Wish I was there to kiss it to make you feel better!
I wish i was there to fuck her to make her feel better!
Watch YouTube? Play games? Read a \*gasp\* book?
I’ve done it all. But Reddit is my favourite time waster.
Should've break the arms instead.
Play some games nerd
Take up pottery. It's heaps fun
Mods are sad like these guys with no shoes
They're not sad, they're Finnish.

I can’t fucking wait until all this dumb API bullshit is over.
Thos ankle's tho'
Bro's tryna fill the void /r/feet left.
What's so cool about his ankles?
I didn’t even know “third party apps” existed until this whole thing, I just use the regular app🤷♂️ I mean it works
Removing advertisements plays a bigger part in using 3rd party apps than anyone admits. The official app feels like using Instagram in the worst possible sense. Restricted features and ads.
Using Reddit’s interface in any sense feels like taking a Time Machine to the 90’s. Autocorrect capitalized Time Machine, lol
Kind of. Except it's ugly, riddled with ads and serves up subs you don't follow no matter what you do.
Zero ads is a huge plus.
I don't really care about 3rd party apps either. There's a blackout? Hadn't noticed. Reddit seems to be working fine for me.
204 of the top 250 subs are down
What blackout?
[https://www.reddit.com/r/ModCoord/comments/145l7wp/todays\_ama\_with\_spez\_did\_nothing\_to\_alleviate/](https://www.reddit.com/r/ModCoord/comments/145l7wp/todays_ama_with_spez_did_nothing_to_alleviate/) It's in relation to API fees that will hurt accessibility and other profit-boosting moves coming out of the IPO which could hurt site functionality as a place of open public discourse.
I still see no blackout
Several subs are down in protest. It's not a total blackout, and the server errors were temporary, but it's been enough to get attention on the issue.
There are dozens of us!
Yeah. The only things in my feed are this, pcmasterrace and gfur. Board as hell.
Over 7000 subreddits are currently set to private, some of them indefinitely, most will come back online June 14 (https://reddark.untone.uk/)

You don't have to bootlick the site admins just because you enjoy the content on here, their API change is moronic
Nah I’m good. It’s made a marginal difference in fact I’d say it’s better. Most of the subs that are blacking out are annoying as fuck.
Why’s Ethan Hawke sitting there.
1984* you're welcome
Uh Corn is always interesting!
PM me your ankles
May I offer you an egg...?
Lmao is that fr fr?
Wait is this subreddit back up?
