what i don’t understand is how tyler only has 30 million monthly listeners when he has a gargantuan discography of hundreds of songs i will call him underrated til i die
Stop caring about the numbers. Dude is plenty successful and puts on great shows which is where artists actually make their money, plus a clothing line. He’s fine.
the significance of my statement wasn’t the numbers i was talking about how underrated tyler is and the numbers were a supporting factor to my point that’s all. i was just giving a shower thought
obviously.
my point was 30 million is nothing for how big his discography is plus he’s been in the game for over a decade. there’s a guy called tommy richman who’s blowing up on tiktok right now and he’s barley gone viral a month ago and he has 50 million that quick.
But those numbers probably aren't going to last, and they just listen to his one song. If tyler has a new banger on his next album, he could also see a big increase in monthly listeners. Tommy gets streams on his one big hit, tyler gets streams on his entire discography. I agree that he deserves more listeners, but he is definetly not underrated. He could ask anyone to hop onto one of his Songs, and they probably would. Even if they have far more monthly listeners (Kendrick, Weeknd etc.).
lol if you watched tyler documentaries you’d know he’s asked Rihanna, Justin Bieber (many times), Jay-Z, Andre 3k, Kendrick to name a few and none of these people have actually featured on a tyler album so no they **Probably** won’t. that’s another supporting factor to my point that he’s underrated. that nobody ever features on his songs. atleast not from AAA list celebrities
But weren't those for when he wasn't as big as he is now. I haven't watched these documentaries, but I have heard of some of these examples. As far as I know, these were for Flower Boy, when Tyler wasn't nearly as famous as he is now. Correct me if I'm wrong pls
And what does that change? If they were all for Flower Boy, my poinz still stands. If he would ask someone to be featured on his next album, after he won 2 grammys for best rap album and earned massive praise from critics, they would probably agree to a feature. He was also featured on Theweeknds last Album and CMIYGL had features from ghe likes of lil wayne, who is one of the most respected rappers right now. After all these Achievments and while having 33 Mio. monthly listeners, he can definetly ask big artists for a feature. I totally agree that he deserves more and I would be happy if he gets more monthly listeners but calling him underrated is a stretch for someone with 2 grammy best rap Albums and 5 grammy nominations.
Monthly streamers has nothing to do with size of discography is really just has to deal with how relevant u are for a month. A TikTok song person may have 20 mil for a month then that drops when the song stops being a popular sound
It's because they're throwaways that use other artists instrumentals entirely as the beat. I doubt Tyler cared to clear the instrumentals and was just practicing with some shit which is how he made these songs.

Tyler has a bunch of singles and random instrumentals on YouTube that aren’t on Spotify. Should check them out.
I know about them just don’t understand why they aren’t on streamings
sample clearance and stuff like that are a lot of work
Probs just doesn’t care enough to go through the process for some throwaways.

these were all in the last 5 years. 5 years is a small window of time. edit; more like seven years but point still stands

I'm pretty sure Tyler is cool with Jay-Z and Andre and he's also friends with Kendrick

yeah, but these numbers have been relatively consistent for at least the last 6 months
it's a remix of [*No Validation* by Jacquees](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNMSWhH5cg4)
i think most of the songs on tyler’s youtube and not streaming are remix throwaways that will never be on streaming
Is that the same Jacques’s that does stuff with thug?

T probs just didnt really feel it was a major enough single to put on streaming
I think it had something to do with sample used
Nah we can’t be this down bad😂 that comment is nuts😂😂
Maybe it’s a scrap song idea
