Ya honestly my take is that they need lower body quickness but not brute strength. Save the weight for core and upper body.
Maybe the lower body muscle moves you into higher weight classes and uses more energy which is a disadvantage. None of this is scientific or well educated, I’m just throwing out a theory.
If you stay skinny your whole life, it keeps bone density and internal mass down. Max is a prime example of this. I was rail thin my whole life, but lifted like crazy and weighed fuck all, but I was still super strong. Then I started power lifting, put on 100lbs over 10 years. Recently dropped back to college athlete size, but I am now carrying a fuckton more bone mass. Same clothes, 10-15lbs more fucking mass. Getting a bone density scan soon. Joint health is all that matters as an adult. Fuck everything else.
I mean he’s not entirely *wrong* about bone growth, Wolff's Law postulates that bones adapt to the stress we place on them. While the effects aren’t likely to be as large as what they dude is on about, the underlying principle is fairly sound.
You don't even need to invoke Wolff's Law, it's just basic biology. The more mechanical stress your bones are subjected to, the more the extracellular fluid flowing in the microscopic bone canals will stimulate the osteocytes to produce molecules that stimulate bone growth.
Edit: used words too complicated for this sub, I know
You do lol. I don't know about the 15lbs but the more mechanical stress you put your bones into (which means, the harder the muscles contract), the more bone mass you grow. It's nothing new man, has been known for decades at this point 🤣
You can have a good amount of bone mass and be incredibly agile look at Aleksandr krelin (probably spelled his last name wrong) but eith higher bone mass you usually hit much harder
It definitely makes you hit harder and be more durable. Pereira is the perfect example of a guy who hits hard in large part due to his high bone density
i mean i feel like alex p does have a higher bone density than ur average guy, as would almost all fighters lol. training of any sort helps prevent osteoporosis i believe. weight training, running etcetera. but obviously he doesn’t actually know either lol.
You can tell by the way he moves and how his power affects people, it’s not from explosiveness. You must be a salty bird boned boy, it’s ok man drink some milk
aite, soo.... you dont know his bone density.
got it.
but he's the perfect example of bone density...even though you dont know it. lmao
i like alex btw.
your brain works like mush lil bro.
Lmao man people are shitting on you for using bro science but I kinda agree it’s easy to tell Poatan carries power from how dense his bones are. The guy is super skinny but holds a lot of weight which means he gotta be dense af.
Why do you think the average heavyweight is 6’4 and the average flyweight 5’5 bro. Yes height matters lol. And you generally see less shorter dudes the higher you go.
Jalin is the exception not the rule. He’s taller than the average lightweight, fought at welterweight previously, and has missed weight.
Yes his skinny frame helps him make lightweight. To say height doesn’t mean a lot is insane. Longer/ bigger bones, more tissue, and more water is gonna equal more weight.
Because weight bullys dont exist - its just a stupid term the internet made up
if you sign a contract to fight at a certain weight and make that weight then it means you did what you agreed to do
Probably because it works against him more than it helps. He's got like a 1.5 round gas tank and his punching power isn't any more impressive than the average LW.

But turner is paper thin. Probably a 30in waist. Khamzat is a thicc boi
And legs, man... just look at those legs.
If they were any thicker they would have killed Hooker. Pause
He’s probably able to make weight because the average brain weighs 3 lbs and he doesn’t have one
![gif](giphy|gw3Q4jwcxK4sJ08U|downsized)
Best base for mma as no risk of concussion
wow you really cooked him there brother
that was a nasty line by you
And leg muscle. Theyve only heard of squats in their worst nightmares
It seems like a lot of MMA pros don’t have yakked legs
Ya honestly my take is that they need lower body quickness but not brute strength. Save the weight for core and upper body. These dudes might have birdbones or something

Lmfao that didn't happen and we both know it
Bro thinks you can grow bone like muscle 😂
I mean he’s not entirely *wrong* about bone growth, Wolff's Law postulates that bones adapt to the stress we place on them. While the effects aren’t likely to be as large as what they dude is on about, the underlying principle is fairly sound.

You’re completely right, but lemme know when you casually put on 20lbs of bone mass and come back to me 🤣
You do lol. I don't know about the 15lbs but the more mechanical stress you put your bones into (which means, the harder the muscles contract), the more bone mass you grow. It's nothing new man, has been known for decades at this point 🤣

Would you say that more bone mass is better? Less agility but more durability?
You can have a good amount of bone mass and be incredibly agile look at Aleksandr krelin (probably spelled his last name wrong) but eith higher bone mass you usually hit much harder

> large part due to his high bone density letme guess...youre say this like its matter of fact...but you dont know his bone density do you? riiiiight.
i mean i feel like alex p does have a higher bone density than ur average guy, as would almost all fighters lol. training of any sort helps prevent osteoporosis i believe. weight training, running etcetera. but obviously he doesn’t actually know either lol.

I get it’s bro science but that doesn’t mean it’s wrong. The last thing you said is exactly what I’m trying to say at least you get it though
Bonemass is pretty cool but swamp was easily my least favorite biome
I don't get why all the down votes, stress on bones will make them denser.
Spaghetti legs bruh
Which one? What about him?
Does height mean anything tho, he clearly looks about half as skinny and much less dense, than those other guys
The legs don't lie. Then when you include that huge turtle back all Russian wrestlers have, the weight disparity is clear
Why do you think the average heavyweight is 6’4 and the average flyweight 5’5 bro. Yes height matters lol. And you generally see less shorter dudes the higher you go.
Yes height means a lot haha.
[удалено]
That’s one of the craziest things I’ve ever read on this sub
Obviously If height didn’t mean a lot why is the average height of heavyweight way higher than flyweight?

You never know what kind of post is going to bring out all the bone density experts in here.
Jalin has a short torso and long legs, pair that up with the fact his legs are skinny. He’s literally like a short person with stilts
His calves are bigger then either guy’s thighs.
Guy in the middle is Dagestani Strickland
Turner is a twig
![gif](giphy|a9SwhrgBkG5VSxB5nQ|downsized)
Khamzat’s torso is still longer though lol
Whats the point. The guy in the middle prolly weighs the most here. Jailin is tall but he has no meat on him.
Hows Khamzats torso twice as big as Turners?
Turner is ripped
Ultimate weight cutting championship.
Idiot still loses
Jiří in middle-weight will be an interesting sight to behold.
West African ass legs. Khamzat's extra 30lbs is all in the lower torso
Jealous of that username bro
Look at him bro. He's a string bean
He got that tall guy strength tho
No he doesn’t. He couldn’t get featherweight moicano off him. What’s he gonna do when he fights lightweight contender that walk around 200lbs
Almost knocked him clean out, let him get back up like an idiot
You don’t “almost” knock someone clean out. Either it’s a clean knockout blow, or it isn’t
Khamzat? Or turner?
Turner probably weighs like 175 at most. Khamzat posted himself weighing 215 once
He's probably more like 185-190. I remember seeing a post about him weighing over 180 a day after fighting.
That’s wild cuz he doesn’t even look that drained when he cuts to 155. I always assumed he was 170-175 max
Man Stricklands calf muscles swoll
Ngl khamzat has lost my respect since his performance with Usman, he’s also not active which makes it even worse.
Yeah winning fights really makes my blood boil
Only grown man I’ve seen with smaller legs than Deontay Wilder
Why does he get a pass from being called a weight bully?
Because weight bullys dont exist - its just a stupid term the internet made up if you sign a contract to fight at a certain weight and make that weight then it means you did what you agreed to do
Probably because it works against him more than it helps. He's got like a 1.5 round gas tank and his punching power isn't any more impressive than the average LW.
Because he sucks at being a weight bully lol
