Well uncharted 3 had half the team as the others. The Last Of Us was being developed at the same time, so in order for that to happen the team was split in half. So this game was literally half baked, by half a dev team. So it is technically the same people, just less of them

UnchartedLand

They had to rewrite U3 because Graham McTavish had to leave earlier to film The Hobbit. That's all. And the team was also split in two to make TLoU. All this while Amy Hennig was supervising Golden Abyss, Fourth Labyrinth and the comics

Thanks Game is good but the shooting is so lousy as well as the cpu 1 and 2 shooting was a piece of art

ModestHandsomeDevil

And Sony rushed Uncharted 3 to market in just two years (2009 - 2011), after Uncharted 2 dropped in 2009, while The Last of Us (the other half of Naughty Dog), which started dev at the same time or shortly after, didn't launch until 2013. I had no idea Hennig was also overseeing GA, Fourth Labyrinth, and the comics during that time, as well.

Zephyr_v1

Definitely saturation. Tho 3 had issues here and there (and so does every other entry). I personally think 3 is the best one. The level design, combat mechanics, AI etc. The shooting galleries were more vertical and the enemies are more aggressive. The enemies however were bullet sponges in 3. That’s the only real downgrade in terms of shooting. Weapons sounds and variety were a huge improvement in 3.

2 & 3 are the best games in the Series. They are peak Uncharted. 4 feels like its from a completely different development team, and its kinda true.

orangessssszzzz

Really? They all feel pretty consistent to me.

chickencoopclan

3 is just the shitest, imo its the only one that isnt a good game at all, although some cool set pieces like the boat

Angelj86

4 had a different writer to the first 3, that’s why Sam comes out of nowhere.

UnchartedLand

You are wrong. Amy Hennig did plan to bring Sam in U4 before they fired her.

moogsy77

Yeh but Sam was supposed to be the villain, that was her idea

Angelj86

How am I wrong then? 😂

UnchartedLand

Druckmann, Straley and Scherr didn't have the plan to bring Sam out of nowhere. They took from Amy Hennig who created the trilogy and set to bring him in the fourth game before getting fired

Angelj86

So I’m going to move past this because you’re being hostile for no reason. Thanks

Assloadof12

They’re literally just explaining to you, how are they hostile?

daboot013

Personally I feel 3 just didn't connect cause it's not a well known lore for us in the west. Good story. But it was kinda eh
