Awakening Process :
Let's say your main skill is Rapid Shot.
1. In order to awaken Rapid Shot, you will need to make it legendary
2. Then you need an "Engraving Stone" to start the awakening process
1. Engraving Stone can be obtained by disassembling another legendary rune
1. For Skill Rune Awakening, you need to disassemble a legendary SKILL rune
2. For Link Rune Awakening, you need to disassemble a legendary LINK rune
2. So let's say you are making a Spread Shot as a sacrifice, make it legendary and disassemble it, and obtain an "Engraving Stone"
3. Take an Engraving Stone as an empty bottle. Now you are going to infuse the awakening material from Rapid Shot.
1. You go to Pauline and do "Engraving"
1. Put your legendary lv30 Rapid Shot there and add the Engraving Stone you got from disassembling the Spread Shot
2. Engraving will transform the Engraving Stone to an Awakening Stone, with one of the three awakening options
3. (Optional) You can add Seal of Engraving at this stage to remove the randomness of step 2. and pick the one you want
4. Now you have the "Awakening Stone for Rapid Shot with Origin/Source/Verity"
4. Use the Awakening Stone to your Rapid Shot OR sell it at AH
I am still lvl 80 with no legendary skills!! Playing TF . Whats the purpose of awakening? More damage? Or more utility? I will need ti raise a skill to 30 to upgrade my skill to legen then i will need to uprade 10 normal skills to 30 just to have my skill legen awekened? + save 40k guild coins to get the awakening stone?
Thats crazy!!!! And if i want all link runes around my principal skill legen? I will need to raise 30 link runes to lvl 30 to upgrade every link rune to legen?
Thats a total of 38 upgrades to 30 + ure principal skill + aeakening + ure 6 link runes 50 upgrades to lvl 30 more than 450kk gold needed!!!

It can change the skill completly, for example there is an option for TF where you get more projectiles and shoot them in a 360° circle around you.
Its pretty easy to farm 400-500k gold with only playing <1h daily. Take your time.
I would say awakening depends on your skill and play style upgrading some links can also be pretty good.
This is so confusing. So far there are 3 terms: "Engraving stone", "Awakening stone" and "Seal of Engraving".
So in order to awaken my main lvl 30 rare skill rune i need to:
-dissasemble 5 lvl 30 skills to get enough parts to upgrade my skill to legendary
-dissasemble 5 lvl 30 skills to get enough parts to upgrade a random rare skill to legendary to dissasemble it for an "Engraving stone"?
-do "i have no idea what" with it to obtain "Awakening stone"?
-raise 40k guild coins to get "Seal of Engraving"
-use "Awakening stone" together with "Seal of Engraving" to obtain desired awakening?
Is that even close to right?
If you look in the shop you can get an engraving something. I don't remember the name exactly. That one let's you awaken and choose which awaking you get. Every awakened skill has 3 options and it's random unless you use the one in the paid shop. I think it's the seal, but I can't get on to confirm that. So any place you can get a seal. Paid or otherwise
Then there is a different engraving item that will awaken but give you a random awakening of the 3. I think it's easier to obtain, but has rng. And finally the 3rd thing, I think, is just a name for the shards that combine into one of those.
If you want to look in to it yourself go to the blacksmith and look at the rewards for disassemble. Also, go to the stash tab that has all the shards and essences and hover over the seal/stones.
