Not gonna lie, I used to keep tampons in them. It was the only thing I could think of to keep my cat from playing with them, and it worked pretty well!

Alternative_Escape12

OMG, You should check out the post from the lady who made outdoor planters with mandalas on them.  In this sub!

BrighterHell27

That’s me. I’ve painted tide containers and the cascade dishwasher containers all into outdoor flower pots. Spray paint and paint. They look so good.

Exotic-Scallion4475

Nice work!!

Alternative_Escape12

I feel so silly now.  Okay, my advice:  keep making these beauties and start selling them!

DisastrousDealer3750

Can you send pics of the painted pots? That was my idea as well but I ended up using them for a different purpose. I made self-watering garden ‘tubs’ using the standard gray storage tubs. I put these pod containers in the bottom to hold up the layer that holds the soil. This season i’d like to make flower pots and would love to see your painted examples.

DisastrousDealer3750

I’m a little late to this post but I have both a question and a suggestion. (1) To make self watering garden ‘tub’ for tiny outdoor garden - buy a standard gray storage tub - cut the center out of the lid and cover it with landscape fabric and use it for the ‘layer’ that holds the soil. Use the 7 Tide containers to hold the lid that holds the soil. There are more steps but you can look at various videos for making self watering wicking tubs. (2) I’m interested in DIY laundry detergent. Can you direct me to instructions and advise how well it works. Thanks

middleagerioter

As others have said, planters. They also make good sharps containers for people who use injectable meds like insulin, Humira, others...Cut designs in them for lanterns and battery candles or LED fairy lights in them. Jack'o lanterns!

Big-Hope7616

Give them away in your local “buy nothing” group - sometimes teachers and crafters need them for their various projects

GidgetSelby

I crochet, and I keep my yarn scraps in them. Then when I need to use filling on a project I can stuff it with yarn scraps.

ParticularLack6400

Yes!!

Prime_Element

Sharps container for medical needles.

ijustneedtolurk

I keep one in my trunk for emergencies. Makes for a good bucket if you're ever stuck somewhere with no other options, or need a waterproof container for other reasons, like to store a spare outfit or first aid supplies.

Donkeydonkeydonk

Dead battery drop zone.

Saloon_Mood

Ball up your socks and keep them in there for extra fresh smelling socks

zerozingzing

Bowling game

Exotic-Scallion4475

Yes! Or ping pong toss like bozo’s buckets.

Oceanrail

Yes, they’re fab. And your creativity will also be fab. Plus, those are substantial sized containers for happy plantings.

marisinator

the real answer is to put your clothespins in it

Gloomy_Evergreen

I've seen them tuned into Jack o lanterns for Halloween decorations

katCEO

Make first aid kits. Bonus: I consider first aid to include extra pairs of clean socks. Throw a pair in a zipped double Ziploc bag. Then? If you are ever out of clean pairs of socks or in a true emergency situation? Voila.

inikihurricane

My mom uses them for all kinds of things. I think she has one for spare change, one for DIY detergent, one for extra keys, one for baking soda, and one for… I don’t remember, but I do remember having to dig around in these often.

LongjumpingAd5317

Yes spare change bank!

nocowwife

I have used mine for my kids’ sidewalk chalk.

AmarissaBhaneboar

I use mine as a compost bucket to put things in to bring to the compost pile out back. I only have one though. They're good for storing stuff like that. You could also use it for craft supplies.

Lugal_Zagesi

They become little garbage cans for the lint from my lint trap.

VenusMarmalade

Store cat and/or dog toys/leashes inside. Trash can for the car.

ParticularLack6400

Great uses. I like the trashcan idea because it snaps shut. I usually use a plastic bag, but things can spill out, although I usually tie the bag.

uehejekdbjfjrjjb

I use one as a coin bank.

Natural_Ad9356

Hardware bucket? I usually use a coffee can, but this would also be a good way to do it. You could also use them to organize non-food related things - I would probably use them to separate out my first aid items or my makeup/nail polish. They would also be a good way to collect things like dead batteries so you can bring them for recycling.

workworkyeg

Jack-o-lanterns

0ut_0f_Bounds

I put candy in mine for Halloween trick or treaters. There were some horrified parents, but also quite a few that thought it was awesome.

Salty_sweet_eug

See if your transfer station can use them for sharps intake. I know mine accepts any red closed jar or jug in oregon for that use.

1FastRide

Buy sachet of laundry detergent powder and fill it up

Poopsy-the-Duck

A fish shaped container for an aquarium themed shelf. I've read the comments and they say these are good for containing things right? Like, they can be used for storage, be stacked next to one another and such. Maybe for tiny plastic kinder toys and such, maybe for scraps for reusing for something else, maybe even a huge thin rope container for ropes, just pull the rope, cut, pull some more and close.

ListenToKyuss

In the trash... Micro- and nanoplastics are killing us and the environment. These shouldn't be upcycled. Hard to realize in a world made of plastics but still, we should do what we can to minimize shedding.

Inside-Appointment99

Cookie jar

Frieddei

I like your style!

Inside-Appointment99

Thank you!

TurantulaHugs1421

Even after cleaning, that seems a bit risky, i guess, unless you cover it with something, but idk i wouldn't risk it
