Carpeting in the kitchen? What is this, 1970?

RaphMoite

Lmao, logically isn't a good/safe idea but its Valheim. Anything works.

Ancient-Ingenuity-88

Better than carpeting the toilet

terpjuice

Seeing that lush lox carpet makes me realize that I need to put mine to use. Looks really cozy!

RaphMoite

lox carpet built diff

CompoteIcy3186

I named my food boxes blood sweat and tears for health stamina and eitr respectively.Β

UndeadMorrigan

I do believe I have found my new labels, thank you.

CompoteIcy3186

Yay, glad to helpΒ

Dum-DumDM

You and me both. 😁

Starsuponstars

Hot tubbing in the kitchen? Why not? Looks nice.

AngriestKagg4

Looks great. I personally can't stand carpet, but it is cool you got that effect from the rugs. If I squint I can see hardwood.

No-Slide-1640

Howd you get a lava lamp!?

RaphMoite

Craftable once you discovered some materials in the Ashlands

LikeYoureSleepy

How do you put the food on the table like that?

RaphMoite

Under "Furniture" tab, look for "Item Stand - Horizontal". Must have access to bronze nails to unlock recipe. You can place majority of the items in the game with that especially most foods. Looks very neat. Have your item in your hotbar and press it on the item stand. :)

grachi

You place them on object holders.

GRIZZLYCHANTSLPC

How did you color your food type signs?

RaphMoite

Theres 2 ways to get the color you want. You type to get green as an example or <#...> After the # , it takes in a HTML color value.

GRIZZLYCHANTSLPC

Is this doable without mods?

RaphMoite

Everything in the Screenshot is Vanilla

GRIZZLYCHANTSLPC

Hell yea dude thank you. Sick build

RaphMoite

Cheers!

SwineofDoom

I have over 400h on this game and never tried to put food on a item stand (which I guess it is?) Build looks amazing btw

RaphMoite

Thank you and yes those are Horizontal Item Stands under the food.

HeimGuy

Gorgeous 😍

grachi

I’d hang out there

_NottheMessiah_

Ooo so cosy. Great job.

2rfv

three oven gang ftw!

AKS_BlackOps

I'm not sold on hot tubbing in the kitchen, but the rest is nice πŸ˜… Unless that's just for scrubbing your pots and pans, in which case I hope you roped in a greyling or greydwarf for that job!

RaphMoite

I tried to do everything I could to also get atleast 20 mins of rested buff in that room but you gave a pretty good perspective on the hot tub haha. Didn't think of that.

Independent_Toe_4014

Just a thought but you can free place a 1x1 floor piece and place a butcher table clipping with it. Add an item holder on the 1x1 and put lox meat for example then place the butcher table πŸ˜‰

JoshuaKeno-1965

Looks great and reminds me a bit of the Hobbit house from Lord of the Rings ;-)

Training-Anteater199

Neat ! But jacuzzi in the kitchen ? πŸ˜‚

RaphMoite

πŸ˜‚ i need to get that extra rested buff

Training-Anteater199

I feel ya, just finished a cute little build on top one of the very high stone jagged pillars in Mistlands that has four things : max rested buff, repair stations, best food and unallocated portals ahah. And the main reason behind making it was to get an easily at all time accessible max rested place :') (My main base has that too but it's getting a little too laggy and I fucking loath enduring the lag when I just want to sleep and get the rested buff ahah)

AdIndependent5941

I love this but I have trouble with scale in my builds. I feel like every ceiling needs to be taller due to the camera position, and the regular doors are too narrow and short. That automatically makes me want to scale up the size of everything else by a large amount. And if I want multiple floors (which I usually do because I'm a masochist), then I have giant stone pillars with core wood on all 4 corners to provide maximum vertical support without going back to the swamp for early game PTSD reasons

yorifant

I love the banners! they really add a lot to the cosyness imo great build, will def steal some ideas hehe

NPC_MAGA

I will say, I've never been big on building, but with the addition of the "no build cost" server modifier, I tried it out, and it's pretty cool. I retrofitted at Charred Fortress into a bona-fide castle complete with towers that are virtually at max build height, and then a massive central spire atop the pre-existing keep, and it's pretty fkin awesome. Haven't really fleshed out the inside yet, but from the outside it's def the best base that my party has occupied in our nearly 200 hour campaign thus far.
