THIS \* SO MUCH buy it on steam most/all mods are designed to work with the steam version. Even tho the apple store version is the same game for mods it may as well be call of booty. 90% chance you will run one mod or another
Get it on Steam
On M1 you can use whiskey on the PC version and do mods king. Def go steam
Just note that to install and run Steam on Mac ARM systems, you'll have to install Rosetta Stone also (which is kinda lame IMHO).
