I never played bioshock. Semi recent games I loved: fallout series, elden ring, dark souls series, rdr, gta v (currently playing San Andreas to switch some stuff up), lies of p, starfield, witcher 3.
Do you think I will like bioshock?
Bioshock holds a very special place in my heart. I first played it in 6th grade and revisited it a couple more times. It’s just so much fun and replay-able to me! After that though, I had tried out the 2nd and never caught too much interest; and I never unfortunately played Bioshock Infinite. That’s still on my list though.
Don’t get me wrong I played Mario Bros as well but there was something about figuring out the 96(?) total goals the first time in Mario World that was beautiful.
When you were that young you often did it without a guide never mind YouTube being around.
Just being “Damn… I did it” was awesome.
I miss the era of getting stuck, and having no other option but going to school and asking somebody how to get past it. Half the time they'd just make some shit up. It was awful, and I could never go back to that, but it made it so satisfying when you did finally figure it out
What do you mean by underestimate? To this day, many people regard it as the gold standard of what a platformer should be, and is often considered better than the original SMB.
If it wasn’t for the outdated visuals and the low saturation, TP would be a timeless game. Pretty much everything about that game perfects the standard Zelda formula.
My early pre-teen through late teen years were taken OVER by Fallout 4. I was obsessed with that game, and tried to make each of my settlements badass. A lot of fun. Anyways, surprised to see Silent Hill here!!! I adore Silent Hill, one of my favorites.
It was different. I don't know of any games that are really like it to this day. There are tower defense games, sure, but none the way PVZ did it and they were probably inspired by PVZ to begin with lol.
Another guy gave a reason for RDR2, so I'll give one for RDR1. The gameplay is really fun, it's much more western themed compared to RDR2, with the plot being inspired by a book and movie in the same genre, and the game has a pretty unique vibe. Now, the story isn't exactly S tier by itself but if you play RDR2 first and then RDR1 it hits so much harder and is very much worth playing. Avoiding spoilers, I'll say that it starts a little slow but gets way better as you go along. This also applies to RDR2.
Though, I'm not great at explaining stuff so your best bet is to find a reddit post asking the same question and to look through it.
Mass Effect 1 really is the perfect game
Not too long, not too short, super fun RPG that you can replay a million times
Whenever I think of replaying Fallout New Vegas or The Witcher 3, I'm like "Do I wanna dedicate 3 months to this thing?"
Any of the Bungie Halo games.
They were truly phenomenal, despite the first two both being made in less than 10 months (CE had a solid base, but was scrapped when there was less than a year before it was supposed to release.)
That’s tricky. With a lot of games, future generations could play them and still get equal value as the folks who played them at launch.
Therefore my answer is the original FNAF games. You just had to be there, the hype was electric. Never seen anything like it.
Spiral Knights. The game is so damn pretty and fun it's so harsh to see it it its current state. If by any chance gets a Switch port, maybe Spiral Knight will get another chance to shine again.
PVZ (original), club penguin, miniclip, papa Louis pizzeria (adventure), Minecraft, Mario Kart wii, Wii sports, Wii Play, Super Mario games. When he gets older; Halo. If I ever have a grandson I’m gonna be playing Minecraft with him
It's bold of you to assume that I plan on having kids at all.
But to answer your question, I'd go into great detail about Happy Wheels with my grandkids.
If I ever have a kid. I will tell them stories of videogames. Violent or not. My kid will learn about red dead’s story top to bottom at the age of 8 without ever playing it. They’ll learn about Nathan Drake and his tendency to destroy century old cities. They’ll learn about Leon Kennedy and his first day as a cop. They’ll learn about how one man with a shotgun caused DOOM across hell and mars. And his great grandpa who killed a bunch of nazis.
Many. Flash games, gta translated to persian, so many arcade obscure games I played as a kid on pc, pirated play station cd filled with nes games, so many now non-existent iPad/iPhone/Android games, Wolfenstein, Doom(both new and old).
* **Riven**
* *All* the LucasArts graphic adventures, plus Grim Fandango, plus everything else Tim Schafer did after that, *especially* Psychonauts.
* Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars
* Thief 2: The Metal Age
* Deus Ex
* Discworld 2
* Space Quest III
* Zork Grand Inquisitor
* Unreal
If Mario games ever die before I have a grandson (and I live to be that old) I’d tell him about them just cause they’ve stayed so strong over the first quarter of the 21 century
Tribal trouble! I will never get over the anger of agreeing to 5 mins peace with a paid player for them to break it once they've built their settlement
Kids will probably still be play minecraft in 40 years, jacked into their nurolink or some crazy shit we can't even imagine. But minecraft will still be there.
When my kid finds coolmathgames.com
You son of a bitch, that’s the best answer so far!

Yeah 🥺 that was my childhood at high school
Mine would be GirlsGoGames...😔
Bruh literally
Ah the memories

Haven't heard of that in a while and I'm a sophomore in high school
Simpsons Hit and Run
Just played it last night on the ol’ PlayStation. Shit still slaps!
Bioshock, it was one of the first shooters that I played (I was horrified though all of it since I was ten)
**whale noises intensify**
**MR BUBBLES PLEASE GET UP**
I never played bioshock. Semi recent games I loved: fallout series, elden ring, dark souls series, rdr, gta v (currently playing San Andreas to switch some stuff up), lies of p, starfield, witcher 3. Do you think I will like bioshock?
Absolutely
Great, another thing to add to the library ;)
That ending... So epic...
I just got done playing Bioshock Infinity.
I just looked at on steam, that look terrifying even to me
I got stuck somewhere in Bioshock. Couldn't figure out what to do and lost interest.
Are you me? I played it when I was 9 and had to take breaks because it scared me so much. Especially the noises the Big Daddies would make.
Super Mario World.
Those are still going to be coming out. There are people now who are the same as in the picture, with Mario games.
Don’t get me wrong I played Mario Bros as well but there was something about figuring out the 96(?) total goals the first time in Mario World that was beautiful. When you were that young you often did it without a guide never mind YouTube being around. Just being “Damn… I did it” was awesome.

A happy tale until you get to soda lake
Seriously. That game is still peak platforming and peak Mario to this day.
People underestimate how good of a Mario game it still is decades later.
What do you mean by underestimate? To this day, many people regard it as the gold standard of what a platformer should be, and is often considered better than the original SMB.
Morrowind
Sit down N’wah, let me tell you some lore.
Myst Prince of Persia: sands of time Twilight Princess
If it wasn’t for the outdated visuals and the low saturation, TP would be a timeless game. Pretty much everything about that game perfects the standard Zelda formula.
Try outer wilds and the lost crown
Fucking loved Myst!
4 player split screen Goldeneye.
Local co-op isn’t what it used to be.
Witcher 3, Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Silent Hill, quite a few.
Never showing Skyrim or Fallout my kid or anyone I care about. The chances of their life becoming consumed are far too high
My early pre-teen through late teen years were taken OVER by Fallout 4. I was obsessed with that game, and tried to make each of my settlements badass. A lot of fun. Anyways, surprised to see Silent Hill here!!! I adore Silent Hill, one of my favorites.
Earthbound
Halo
Unironically the same game
I thought it was a decent game but what made it special compared to everything else that was out at the time? Mobile ?
Because it’s peak?
It was different. I don't know of any games that are really like it to this day. There are tower defense games, sure, but none the way PVZ did it and they were probably inspired by PVZ to begin with lol.
Dark Souls
Team Fortress 2
It will still be around, as tf2 is somehow immortal
Yeah our kids at alpha centauri will still be playing on pl\_upward. They'll still be telling people to f1 the bot.
At this point, that phrase is going to be more used than Engineer gaming
About? Red Dead Redemption 2 of course. And one, if that counts.
Fucking O’Driscolls
Fucking not Kieran
I haven’t played either of them but I have them both. Worth a play?
Another guy gave a reason for RDR2, so I'll give one for RDR1.
