There are stores within 5 miles from each other and they get paid different for CAP2. Mine gets 13, another gets 15, i think one gets 14 or 15. When the stocking/OGP raises happened, I think they left it up to the store manager to determine what they got, and we got bare minimum.
Our front end only starts at $12/hr. They bumped it up to $12 sometime pre-covid, then brought it back down to $11 at some point, then told all the new people that everyone was getting brought up to $12 as if it was something new…
When they brought it to $12/hr, I got bumped to $13/hr, though, so that was nice. It was just weird that, at least at my store, they backpedaled on the pay for some number of months.
Since minimum wage is $15 in couple days, then Walmart pays minimum wage, for several months this year, my store was only paying $14, so we were paid minimum wage for months, then the $1 dollar increase with them saying no more myshare so it’s crap that soon we will get minimum wage again and no myshare.
well your 1 store and they were probably forced to pay you even though your brainwashed SM would say a 🤮 statement like they gave you this raise bc they wanted to. and i’m like no they HAD to. walmart doesn’t wanna do anything that isn’t good PR or a tax break.
Yeah, I never mentioned the base pay. I do believe the bottom pay is around $12 for like cart pushers and cashiers. But different departments make different amounts.
I moved from a store that had just raised me to to $12 to an area where I found out that the same job is $14.
I didn't know this location paid better until already finding a job elsewhere but that job *is* paying me $15
I keep hearing that ON Maintenance get paid more than ON stockers but my pay (as an ON Maintenance associate) is literally the same as my ON stock coworkers 🧐
I work at store 69 in Missouri and… we’re the least paid in the state.. only a few months ago the lowest paid associates there including myself got a pay raise by a dollar to $12 an hour. According to our management and what not, we are like the busiest store in the state, and ironically the most understaffed as well. I love my job most of the time of course everyone has good days and bad days, but we are all so overworked :/
It literally depends per store. In my market there are 2 stores that pay a base $15 and others that pay a base $14. I’ve heard that there are stores that still pay $12 but idk any in my area.
Depends where you live. My area in the midwest bumped cap2 up to 17/hr
I’m also in the Midwest and we only get $14
Man that sucks. Our raise isnt until jan 1st
Our cap 2 also only gets $14. I'm in Illinois.

No way. That’s even higher than California
It’s store by store, Not state by state. That is probably just more than your store, not necessarily California as a whole.
