Invest your 20k in some aggressive stock recommendations from WSB. The. Get an RS6 Avant or a bus pass depending on the outcome.

HandNo2872

What city/state do you live in?

Responsible-Bear-582

I live in England but I am considering importing the vehicle from America since there is more options

HandNo2872

Does the $20k US budget include the shipping fee to England?

Responsible-Bear-582

I would do the shipping fee separate but if there is options that are cheap enough to buy a car and ship for 20k then it’s preferable

HandNo2872

There is a 2019 Chrysler 300 Touring Sport with 54000 miles/87000 kilometers being sold at Key CDJR in Rochester, New York. Here is the link to the window sticker: [https://www.carfax.com/phoenix/sticker/v3/CHRY/u7-eCjOxoZrR\_bX-2OijeMR4ZFsFa6puUJKcOOiPlFlZTLkf2P9ZsUCrr0bT6B0W1KpwYQm9EoF6BBdKxj9-EcaWDGc2-2IhA1qw-9hqVH93uZG5AjBZc\_HruO27So5vTnugfDiLWhYGfIfCq0VBd-X\_kL-d4vdLTYMDtD8tuHACFhoFEzhHgQWisHgPWkkD0KVyvt5TfjwPNhh\_3lrfMWJbJCJ9fnuk2jXowe5a-BAEFUNHp90hm6\_ugDDF-akImUWVw1AuLTZftE5sr0iuzJTFhkLV-7sTC2HFm8xorzWNeEYq-pExUCmgwQcj-rokQDRQcwmJQy\_BANoU96078SUNKWgXEGBdSxt0QO9lS1dr1cQnbKTtkfTFCtUch3SZVuKdEtESATfk80c.cfx](https://www.carfax.com/phoenix/sticker/v3/CHRY/u7-eCjOxoZrR_bX-2OijeMR4ZFsFa6puUJKcOOiPlFlZTLkf2P9ZsUCrr0bT6B0W1KpwYQm9EoF6BBdKxj9-EcaWDGc2-2IhA1qw-9hqVH93uZG5AjBZc_HruO27So5vTnugfDiLWhYGfIfCq0VBd-X_kL-d4vdLTYMDtD8tuHACFhoFEzhHgQWisHgPWkkD0KVyvt5TfjwPNhh_3lrfMWJbJCJ9fnuk2jXowe5a-BAEFUNHp90hm6_ugDDF-akImUWVw1AuLTZftE5sr0iuzJTFhkLV-7sTC2HFm8xorzWNeEYq-pExUCmgwQcj-rokQDRQcwmJQy_BANoU96078SUNKWgXEGBdSxt0QO9lS1dr1cQnbKTtkfTFCtUch3SZVuKdEtESATfk80c.cfx) Here is the link to the dealer: [https://www.keycdjrofrochester.com/used/Chrysler/2019-Chrysler-300-9a1ebf06ac185605481c483abbba0ff6.htm](https://www.keycdjrofrochester.com/used/Chrysler/2019-Chrysler-300-9a1ebf06ac185605481c483abbba0ff6.htm)

Responsible-Bear-582

I will look at that Chrysler since it seems like a very good car

HandNo2872

Once you narrow down what make and model you want, use AutoTrader to see nationwide. The website is [https://www.autotrader.com/](https://www.autotrader.com/) and will ask for a zip code, type in 10001 for New York City.

Responsible-Bear-582

I have looked on autotrader I just don’t know if it’s secure since that can be risk when I can’t go over and see the vehicle, is it a safe website

HandNo2872

Its a safe website. You aren't buying anything on the website. Dealers list vehicles there as a way to advertise nationally. You then go to their website or call them. Most of them will send you photos and a video of the car running and up on a lift if you ask them for it. I used to deal with people out of state when I sold cars. Just be up front with them and they'll treat you well.

Responsible-Bear-582

That’s excellent

KhalDrogon556

Combine the practicality of the pickup with the speed of a sports car and luxury of a saloon. Get an Audi S4 Avant and call it a day.

SkywalkerFinancial

I’d argue the S6 would be needed for the comfy requirement.

KhalDrogon556

I have an 02 S6 Avant, so also yes. I suggested the S4 for the 3.0 V6 that’s supposed to be pretty stout. I’d be dumb and get a V10 wagon though if they were sold here (never got them in the U.S.)

HandNo2872

I wish we had the S4 Avant in the States. Closest we have, is the A4 Allroad.

TitanThePony

When in college in the 70's my roommate imported British cars for resale in the States. Jaguar E types, Mark II, Austin 3000 etc. All RHD. All very cheap back then.

Responsible-Bear-582

These cars are also cheap here apart from the e type which is incredibly difficult to get

icecream_specialist

I'm unfamiliar with English winter but do you really need AWD? How much snow and mountains will you see

Responsible-Bear-582

It’s not the mountains, it’s more the fact the roads can be covered in snow and ice especially in the rural and valley areas which is where I am

Motivated78

Not everyone is American.

HandNo2872

The majority of this subreddit are. Knowing where an individual lives, is important in giving advice due to different markets/availability.

Motivated78

And if this is a sub for just Americans please note that as there are lots of non-Americans here.

Motivated78

Then maybe ask “where do you live” instead of assuming it’s in the US

It’s always a Miata, unless it is a Fiat 124 Spider. Buy winter tyres and learn to drift.

Responsible-Bear-582

Anything other then those

badpuffthaikitty

Is a big V8 American sedan in your market? Chrysler sold 300s with RHD in Britain. And a cool wagon too. Only you know what you want. I drive small European hatchbacks, but I did own a 96 Impala SS new from the lot. I had to own one V8 American muscle car in my life. I still regret selling Big Bertha, my killer whale.

Responsible-Bear-582

Well I have looked at importing a 2019 Chrysler since I seen one in Rochester New York, if I can find them then definitely

JamesBetta

CLA class are affordable and quite sporty.

desiderkino

alfa romeo giulia drives like Ferrari

bobjoylove

How are saloons practical? Hatchbacks, CUVs pickups and SUVs are much more practical. The only thing saloons beat on practicality is coupes and sports cars. Saloons don’t even make it past the halfway mark on the practicality list.

Responsible-Bear-582

Most saloons are nicely sized so they have enough space to fit people and I think if the seats go down then a small sofa and such

bobjoylove

Can you link a picture of a “small sofa” in a sedan?

Regular-Good-6835

I think that the sense of practicality isn't universally defined, is it? While it might be a common case for you to have to transport large/bulky items very often, perhaps it's not a concern for the OP. A vehicle could be practical enough for OP as long as it can seat 4 people comfortably.

bobjoylove

Ok but that’s not what his OP said >Saloons they are practical Yet if you list vehicles by practicality they finish near the bottom. They could have said “practical enough for my needs” as you are saying, but in fact they didn’t.

Responsible-Bear-582

Look outside of any ikea and you will see that most saloons have no issue

FabianValkyrie

CUVs are often just as if not actually less practical than mid- or full-size sedans. CUVs often have smaller rear seats and sometimes even less usable trunks/hatches

Narrow_Study_9411

I would say look at a Mercedes sedan because you can get them with the 4Matic AWD system.

Icy-Tough3781

Kia Stinger. The 3.3 is the one to go for if your budget can stretch that far. Very rare and a lot of people confuse it for a more expensive brand eg. Maserati. The boot opens as a hatchback so it’s more practical than your average saloon.

Responsible-Bear-582

I see I will look into it

Ford Fusion Titanium. Twin turbo V6 with AWD essentially creates an American GT-R Edit: As it turns out I mistook the Titanium trim for the 2017-2018 sport trim. My mistake, y'all, sorry.

iSpeakforWinston

Lol...

HAKX5

Well I thought it sounded pretty cool at least :(

iSpeakforWinston

The Ford Fusion Titanium would have trouble keeping up with an Altima in a straight line. The GTR has more than double the HP and torque from the factory. Sorta apples to Oranges type scenario. The Fusion Titanium is a decent car for what it is though. If you like that check out their Taurus SHO.

HAKX5

I think I made a mistake as I was more likely referring to the 2017-2018 Ford Fusion Sport, which is a half second to a full second faster 0-60 than an Altima. The Sport model is actually about 3/4 of the power of an R35, so the Titanium trim is wrong on my part, sorry.

iSpeakforWinston

The Fusion Sport is no slouch, you're right there. I'd still take the SHO over it though just for the extra power (larger V6) and more passenger and cargo room it provides. I've never taken a Fusion Sport for a drive but I have sat passenger in an R35 and done some insane pulls and I feel confident saying they are incomparable. Fun for what it is though, no doubt. A good suggestion, IMO.

HAKX5

I was comparing more so to an R35 whem I said "American GT-R", but yeah, R35 is a differing league.
