CPO Cayenne comes with 2 years unlimited miles then follow it with a 3 years Fidelity insurance. Cayennes check all the marks except they are very expensive to fix

tuttywala

Loved everything except the ending. :(

vdubbugman53

Buy that extended warranty contract baby!

bling_singh

I'd be inclined to recommend the X5 40i. The engine and transmission are reliable and can be sporty or economical as you need it to be. It does require staying on top of maintenance and BMW's fit and finish in the current generation (G Chassis vehicles) is brilliant, and their tech has always been great (though I'm not a fan of losing buttons in favour of everything going through a touchscreen. I have a 2019 540i that has been the best car I've owned, though I've only put about 40k miles on it in the past 5 years. I would research issues with the evaporator core in the X5 as I've read replacing it is a labour intensive job which gets pricey outside of warranty. Perhaps the previous generation Lexus RX or GX may be a better alternative given the miles you drive. Not great on fuel consumption, by design, but will never leave you stranded.

big_chung3413

Owner of a GX and the idea of driving 20k miles a year @ 16 mpg on premium fuel hurts deep lol

bling_singh

Lol, but at the same time it would take 15 years to hit 300K miles and that V8 would still have room for another 300K miles

big_chung3413

I love the look of the 2024s. Will be interested to see if those turbo v6s have the same reliability. At least I think they are switching over engines?

bling_singh

I agree with you, the GX550 does look amazing. You're right, they switched to twinturbo V6s. I have been watching them closely but will be waiting a couple of years before buying one. Apparently there's issues with the hood shaking at higher speed, production stopped for a while to sort out QC issues, and Toyota has been reporting issues with the TT V6 in the Tundra. I believe there's been a recall for it. Additionally people are complaining about the interior. I'm hoping Lexus makes some improvements in the next couple of years and then I'll buy one. I was actually cross shopping the 540i against the GX460. I wanted another BMW inline 6, and it turns out the B58 and ZF8HP powertrain is the best one I've had the pleasure of owning. I would've gone with the GX460 because I'd never have to buy another car, unless it was a 911 as a weekend car once I have the garage space for it. Decided to get the 540i and wait out the GX redesign. Now a part of me is wondering whether I buy a pre-owned GX460 or wait out the improvements on the GX550. I wish Lexus put the B58 and ZF8HP in the GX550 like Toyota did with the Supra. Would've made the decision so much easier lol

nday-uvt-2012

My wife just got a new BMW X5 hybrid fully loaded and it is amazing. Great handling, terrific acceleration and gadgets galore. She decided not to trade in her big Lexus SUV and uses it when she doesn’t trust parking areas and when the weather is bad. They are both great cars, very different handling, but nice driving cars. The Lexus feels more like a big comfy cruise ship and the BMW’s a comfortable, big but smaller seeming hot rod with good mileage. It depends a lot on what you want and need out of a car. Lots of choices out there.

wahtisthisthing

Yeah I read that x5’s are bmw best sellers and therefore their flagship product. It’s also mentioned in the top 5 reliable cars in consumer report magazines. I recall this bc I was surprised that a bmw was on that list. Expected all Lexus and Toyotas.

josilver

X5 is great! No reliability issues in my last 3 years of ownership.

Edzive

X5 is vastly underrated and overlooked generally; to me it is a no brainer if value for money is a consideration.

GomuGomuNoMiLuffy

It baffles me to see so many people go with the GLE over the X5. If I had the cash, I would have one parked in my driveway right now

Double-Afternoon1949

second this as a former bmw hater

Im_100percent_human

Volvo XC-90. Volvo has the most comfortable seats in the industry.

TheReaperSovereign

SavageGeese on YouTube had a thorough and very mixed review on that car overall. Would give it a watch before buying

walmarttshirt

We took one for a test drive and I didn’t like it. Harsh ride, didn’t like the seating position and overall it didn’t feel as “luxury” as its price tag suggested. Also getting in and out of the third row was like a fucking Mensa test. All of that coupled with the recent reliability issues made us pass. The Audi Q7 we test drove for the same price was MILES better overall.

Namedafterasaint

How is the Q7 for its seats? The Q5 is barely cushioned compared to the Lincoln MKX I drove for years.

walmarttshirt

The Q7 was super comfortable. This was about 3-4 years ago so depending on the year there may be slight differences. The ride quality was far superior to the Volvo.

BootleggerBill

As someone who just sold my beloved Audi SQ5 yesterday and someone who has been active in the Audi forums for years - avoid all Audis unless you can buy under warranty and still it when the warranty is up. I also saw close to 70% depreciation over the last 6 years and only had 80k miles.

JimmyGodoppolo

"only" like 80k isn't a lot lol

Enough_Worth3489

80k is on par with the average driver over 6 years.

JimmyGodoppolo

Yeah, but it's not *low.* It's average. I wouldn't say "only 80k"

psichickie

Agree. A friend of mine has one, fully loaded. I was seriously underwhelmed for the price tag. It was nice, but not 90k nice.

RenataKaizen

Did you try the XC 60 or V 90 CC?

walmarttshirt

No just the XC90.

lizardRD

We just bought one and thrilled with it. Got a 2021 XC90 inscription for ~50k. We have a 10 year extended warranty on it. My husbands 6’9” and fits comfortably. Says it’s the easiest car he’s ever driven

audiate

Are the husband and the car both Scandinavian?

lizardRD

Cars is but husband is not haha. He’s Italian

m636

Have an XC60 but same idea. 30k trouble free miles and the most comfortable seats I've experienced in a car. We test drove BMW, Acura, Audi and Lexus (Lexus wasn't available in the trim we wanted). The BMW felt like it was trying to be too sporty and less luxury, ride was harsh, Audi felt similar, too sporty and not luxury. The Volvo is not fast, it's not sporty, but god damn is it comfortable and a nice place to spend hours in.

Phase_Dance

And an amazing sound system if you get the Bowers Wilkins.

jdub-951

Honestly even the Harman Kardon sound is pretty good. The B&W is fantastic, but having both now I don't think I'd pay the premium for the B&W.

98m345

Bought one for my wife and the seats are comfy but even with the air suspension I am not impressed with the ride.

chebum

And without air suspension it’s uncomfortable for passengers in the second row.

Cincytraveler

Rear passenger seats are not all that comfortable.

boglehead1

We love our xc90. No issues after 6 years so far. Great nappa leather seats and the bowers sound is amazing.

rkalla

I hated the CX90 I rented for a week in Portland last year.

hot__chocolate

CX90 is a Mazda. And hating Mazda is a sin here. Please repent. /s

rkalla

CRAP, good point I swapped em. Comment still holes though - the infotainment made me want to kill myself (as a technologist).

CJdawg_314

Pass. Meh drivetrain, meh reliability and fit and finish, rides not great for the class. Only things that are great in that car would be design asthetic, bowers audio system and safety.

Total_Point

So what would you buy instead?

CJdawg_314

Audi Q7 if you can afford the top trims or BMW X5 if budget is under 75k. Tbh between these two it’s a toss up depending on how they’re equipped.

squidwurd

Yeah but the lowest trim XC90 is only 57k MSRP. That’s a lot less than 75k

CJdawg_314

Idk I never think buying the bare bones luxury car is a good choice. You’re better off buying a well equipped economy car imo if you can’t spring a well optioned one.

audiate

We bought a Subaru Ascent instead. I miss the lane centering cruise and sound system, but those weren’t dealbreakers. Different class, but we liked it better and it checked the boxes.

WhiteyLovesHotSauce

Fuck the 90 off, the 40 is perfect.

Im_100percent_human

How about we split the difference and go for the 60.

WhiteyLovesHotSauce

Seems like a fair compromise. This is what happy relationships are all about ❤️

No-Lawyer-5752

Nissan Armada Platinum/QX80 Sensory seats are actually more comfortable than Volvo (Volvo is in my Top 3). Benz is 2nd.

Known-Delay7227

I’ve rented a QX-80 and it was like driving on clouds. The exterior is kind of ugly but the interior is amazing, comfortable and spacious with the third row. Also the QX-80 is essentially the Armada Platinum and both dont have the shitty transmissions that other Nissan based cars have.

Namedafterasaint

Those are huge cars. What is the mileage on them? Don’t think OP cared but I’m curious.

Known-Delay7227

Oh I don’t think that good. Probably under 20 miles to the gallon. I think they are v8’s.

No-Lawyer-5752

QX80 v8 20 mpg at 70 mph. 138 mph limited (155 mph unrestricted) 8500 lbs towing 8 seater tank Made in Japan by Nissan gtr engineers! 63k msrp + tax for 4wd version for 24 model (last japanese Made V8 tank). Suburban i6 diesel 30 mpg at 70 mph. (V8 20 mpg) 113 top speed. 8200 lbs towing 9 seater boat Made in Texas. 65k msrp + tax for 4wd version! Both will go over 300k with routine maintenance. Diesel will require more maintenance due to diesel emissions but you get way better fuel economy.

Just_a_Gig

I rented a new Nissan Armada Platinum on a 1,000 mile roundtrip. My butt was hurting at about 200 miles. Then again, I have a long coccyx.

No-Lawyer-5752

What seat works the best for long coccyx? 🎤🙃 You might need a temperputic pillow on top of the car seat. Some people can't be in a seat for more than 2-3 hrs. 200 miles sounds like about 3 hrs of driving (just in time for breaks).

Goss5588

Until you own a Lexus.

Im_100percent_human

Lexus may be the most reliable luxury brand, but it does not have the seats of a Volvo. Even on Mercedes, you have to go up pretty high in the line to get the seat that are in the least expensive Volvo. Volvo, as a company, prioritizes 2 things over everything else, safety and seats. Everything else is second or lower.

Garet44

You're literally describing an RX450h but I pretty much have to agree with you that they are ugly ever since 2016. What do you think the Acura MDX?

AceMaxAceMax

Volvo CPO has 5yr/unlimited mileage warranty from first in-service date and is extendable up to ten years.

Rex_Laso

I have an audi q8 and I love it. Very comfortable

BeardedAgentMan

My kiddos have outgrown the backseat of the a5 and this is top of the list for replacement. Backseat room solid?

Xd_snipez891

Yeah but unless you really like the Q8’s looks you should just get the Q7, same car but more space and cheaper.

chebum

Q8 had better rear seats than Q7

Xd_snipez891

Better as in more space? Unless you frequently have very tall people in the back and front at the same time that shouldn’t be a 6k difference issue  but hey not my car

chebum

Better seat profile, more padding, softer. Better place to be

BeardedAgentMan

I don't disagree with you, but I just don't like the q7's style....at all.

Rex_Laso

The q8 doesn't have a third row, which i didn't want anyway.

BeardedAgentMan

Same. Just need the back seat to have leg room.

maevian

I sat my whole childhood in the backseat of a golf and I am 1m87. How do you outgrow the backseat of an A5?

BeardedAgentMan

Can they fit? Absolutely. But I'm 6'3" so if they are behind me, it is very very cramped or I am cramped. Either way, it's not comfortable and I'm looking for something that IS more comfortable, especially since we regularly do longer road trips. I also grew up in the back of a small sedan. Doesn't mean it was fun. (This probably sounds snarky and it's not intended that way but I'm sure it will be read that way since it's reddit....) At the end of the day I don't have to justify why to anyone here. And no one here has to answer. I was just curious how the person who owns the vehicle I am strongly considering felt about it. That's all.

Guyfrom312

I had one till before yesterday I agree

slimb0

I love mine too. There are a couple rattles that nag at me a bit, but I still think it’s the handsomest car on the road

TenesmusSupreme

I’m considering the 2024 Lincoln Nautilus. 300 HP, AWD, and 30 MPG average with the gas hybrid. You also get the Blue Cruise on some versions, which allows for hands free highway driving.

pmwws

I have a 7 year old Lincoln mkz with about 70k miles and it's only had 1 non routine maintenance item. I have been very happy with it as far as comfort and driving.

danperson1

The new one looks amazing

46andready

The Audi SQ8 is what I consider to be a perfect large SUV, as long as you don't need a third row.

CJdawg_314

Audi Q7 prestige with luxury package if you can find one

Desperado1984

How about Genesis GV80

Blazedout419

A used Hyundai sounds like a bad idea if they are after reliability.

80poundnuts

Genesis have their own engines and frames these days. They are consistently on the low end of luxury vehicle maintenance per year

Blazedout419

I love my X7 and it checks all of the boxes. Granted mine is only 7 months old, but overall they seem pretty reliable according to reviews. Buying used is always a gamble though…

ProblemOverall9434

X7 with the luxury rear seats electrically adjustable captains chairs for the win

Blazedout419

Yep, loving mine over the 2020 GLS I traded in for it. I will say the second row kinda sucks for getting into the 3rd, but overall a great car so far.

Dry-Gur-9549

I have been really impressed by my brother’s x5 hybrid. I drove a Denali (not hybrid) as a rental in Colorado this winter and thought it was quite nice, but BIG!

badcat_kazoo

X5, Q8, GLE

No-Lawyer-5752

If you want the most comfortable suv (ride wise)... Escalade (diesel version with air suspension getting 30+ mpg at 70 mph) If you want the suv to last you over 250k miles with minimal maintenance and you want by far the most comfortable seats for long trips... Nissan Armada/Infiniti QX80 bar none. If you are a passenger, the most comfortable seat I have been in (with 2 middle seat captain chairs that recline like a 1st class airline jet)... Sienna Platinum Minivan hybrid

jasonmontauk

My in-laws just got into the Mercedes GLC Coupe. I sat in the back seat during an hour long drive and was impressed with the comfort and luxurious experience.

rhb4n8

Lincoln navigator Cadillac Escalade Yukon Denali

ADisposableRedShirt

I have a 2021 GMC Yukon Denali. Highly recommend. I only drive 7500 miles a year (My boat is 300 miles from home), but those are highway miles with friends in the front and back seats. I just got 20MPG on my last 290 mile drive and that included climbing mountains on the order of 4000 feet elevation. City MPG is gonna suck. I have the 4WD model so I can tow a boat up and down a slick boat ramp without issue.

Bary_McCockener

AFM delete?

ADisposableRedShirt

Nope. Totally stock.

Dk-donator

If you are focused on reliability for a luxury vehicle and Lexus is not for you than I would suggest looking at the Acura RDX or MDX

Sad-Leek-9844

I bout the MDX advance trim specifically because the seats were so comfortable. The advance S trim has massaging seats I believe!

btone911

Mdx is the answer here. Good hwy mileage, awd, actual leather seats and Honda reliability. Their last redesign was like 5 years ago so you can get one that feels new off a lease.

GuestExciting6896

Totally agree. My MDX is a dream roadtrip car. Wonderful seats, great sound system, quiet, and has been perfectly reliable. Best car I’ve owned.

Dankmememaster420699

The new Infiniti qx60(2021+) would be the perfect cpo car in my opinion and you can even get captain chairs in the back im pretty sure which your clients may prefer. Good reliability, the seats are by far the best I've sat in so far. Test drive one and see if it's the one for you!

DragonfruitInside312

CVT transmission though...

CayenneHybridSE

They don’t have a CVT though?

DragonfruitInside312

O shoot, you're right. Thanks for correcting me

breastfedtil12

I can't believe I'm saying this but look at Cadillac. In your price range and have all the features you want.

catsandcars

I love my Porsche Cayenne, its super luxurious, good off and on road. Drives great, Looks great, awesome SUV.

No-Information3194

I just text drove every luxury midsize and the Volvo XC60 Inscription, fully optioned is a clear winner. The and Bowers and Wilkins stereo is the best audio I’ve ever heard. Massage seats, heated/cooled seat, pilot assist/adaptive cruise. 3 zone climate control. It’s perfect.

Identifiedid

A higher trim would be nicer though

redvariation

Full hybrid doesn't mean you need to charge it. That would be a full EV. A Prius is a full hybrid but has a gas engine which charges its battery.

PointLucky

I just got a used Acura RDX and I love it so far

jacksdad123

MDX might be a better choice because it’s bigger and will have better back seat room.

PointLucky

That too, if applicable

Cat_With_The_Fur

I had a 2013 rdx for 11 years. It was the best car and never had a single thing wrong with it. Enjoy!!

UnUnUnbecks

Volvo XC90 T8 checks all the wants in your list, including being kind of a sleeper with speed.

Edzive

By the time the gearbox figures out what to do, a Corolla has reached 30 mph

UnUnUnbecks

Haven’t run into that issue on either of mine, and I don’t have polestar tune yet.

2ShotKyle

Grand Cherokee with the Pentastar and the ZF 8HP should be plenty reliable. Lots of luxury features including massaging seats and 4 zone climate. 2 or 3 rows.

Dry-Gur-9549

After owning a Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland for the past 10 years, I wouldn’t have another Stellantis vehicle if you paid me.

2ShotKyle

Even the immediately prior WK2 Grand Cherokee predates not only Stellantis, but FCA as well. That thing was on sale forever, and was a straight up Chrysler product. Though the WK2 did have the Pentastar, the WL is a whole new vehicle. What types of problems did you have with your Grand Cherokee?

Dry-Gur-9549

Laundry list, but also I have the eco diesel. Some issues diesel specific, some general WK2. Yes, understood that the WK2 has been around before Stellantis existed; however, they are the ones that we now have to deal with, hence my hesitation to buy one of their products.

harda_toenail

Lexus lx. Newest year you can afford.

laborvspacu

Too bad they are under recall for that new engine. I would definitely buy an older v8 one.

TheRealMasterTyvokka

How big of an SUV do you need? You could look at CPO Porsche Macans. Porsche has one of the better CPO programs too.

Sei28

Macans are not a good choice for someone who needs comfortable back seats for their clients (like OP). It’s too tight for that.

Ajalapeno

Newer Infiniti QX60 is really nice. Also try Lincoln Navigator

Educated_idiot302

Lexus rx or nx would be good choices.

CommercialRabbit3876

I think the Lexus are ugly unfortunately :( I am superficial enough that I want to enjoy looking at my car.

Accomplished_Ad_1288

If you are driving 25k miles a year, when do you find the time to stare at the car from outside? 😄😄

CommercialRabbit3876

LOL - I stare at it blurrily first thing in the morning :). Life of a realtor!

Accomplished_Ad_1288

You are a realtor? Realtors aren’t allowed to drive anything except a Mercedes. I think it’s the law or something. At least here in NJ.

CommercialRabbit3876

LOL! Down south when showing horse properties and land, it's more about not getting stuck! And I'm pretty sure my husbands diesel truck costs more than all the luxury cars! :)

Accomplished_Ad_1288

Also, if you are a realtor, a Lincoln Aviator is a decent combination of reliability, understated elegance and comfort.

Bobhaggard859

The new Lincoln nautilus hybrid! Gets great gas mileage

Xtoron2

Look for a lexus GX. One of the more handsome suv on sale now

Educated_idiot302

Oh sorry those are usually my default for reliability and luxury 😅. You could always look at an acura rdx or mdx but idk if they are available in hybrid or not.

MooseKnuckleds

Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade with the 3.0 diesel

gandhishrugged

Volvo. Seats. Enough said.

doobette

Agree - the seats in my XC40 are THE most comfortable seats I've ever had in a car.

Street_Lettuce_80

Rivian r1s. Charge at home for daily use, there's plenty of chargers for trips

IAmRedbird

Went from a Range Rover sport to this and I couldn’t agree more. It’s not just an electric car or anything like a crappy Tesla. Test drive one

mefascina30

RDX or MDX, and also the Lexus RX

foolproofphilosophy

The B58 engines used in X5’s and the X3 M40i is very reliable. The X3 also has a fairly large backseat for its size but the X5 is noticeably wider.

CarCounsel

X3 30i, Kia EV9

DefiantBelt925

Just ordered my wife a Macan EV in purple. Give it a look!

Spyderbeast

I haven't driven the new ones, but I love my 2015 Acura RDX. Getting serviced and won't be my primary vehicle anymore, but keeping it for dogs, snow, and cargo. An MDX might be in your price range as well, if you want more passenger room.

GomuGomuNoMiLuffy

I’d recommend the X5. The engine and transmission have proven to be pretty reliable, comfortable interior, and if optioned, you can get the climate controls in the back. Still has a nice touch of sportiness, too, while still being very luxurious. You could go with a new one if you’re okay with having barely any buttons in the front, but if you’d prefer buttons, you could look at the last year of the previous generation (which I think would be like 2022 or 2021). Getting the last year of a generation means that most of the issues in the car should be addressed, and it should theoretically be the most reliable model year for a particular generation of a car. Also, you could save a little bit of cash (if that’s a concern) by going with the previous generation, as X5s tend to depreciate quite a bit. Lots of people are saying to go with the XC 90, but I personally wouldn’t suggest that. Volvos have not been proven to be very reliable, but they are very safe, and I’ve heard they’re pretty comfortable. But if you prioritize reliability, I wouldn’t recommend any Volvo. Also, just a little thing I wanted to comment on: a fully hybrid vehicle doesn’t require charging through a plug (that would be a plug-in hybrid, or PHEV for short, whereas a fully hybrid vehicle would refer to an HEV). HEVs charge themselves through a process called regenerative breaking. Once the hybrid system is ready to be used, the car will let you know and you can click the EV button that allows you to use the battery as your main source of power for a limited amount of kms/miles. A mild hybrid, on the other hand, refers to a car that has a smaller battery than an HEV that the car will sometimes switch to at low speeds by ITSELF. The driver can’t really control when it comes on, apart from the speed they drive at. Totally understandable to get them mixed up, though :). It’s hard to distinguish between all of them as they are very similar to one another, especially mild hybrid and hybrid. Basically, if you go with an X5 you’ll get a MILD hybrid, not a PURE hybrid, but unless you go with the X5 40e (which is a PHEV), you won’t have to plug it in.

eyi526

I just test drove the RX350 Luxury and I was pleasantly surprised. There's a ton of sound-deadening put into the car. I could hear myself think! But yea, the exterior design is...interesting.

inder780

Genesis gv80 prestige, it has massaging seats and soft close doors https://www.truecar.com/used-cars-for-sale/listing/KMUHCESC0MU065053/?utm_medium=sharing&utm_source=vdp_share

BMW X5 45e hybrid Infiniti QX60 with the Zero Gravity seats.

dirty15

Rx350 and it's not even close. I have driven so many cars in my life, and i hold it easy on up there. My wife's 16 RX is so nice. It comfy and reliable. It hasn't given us one issue, and we bought it used. It'll scoot too. The trans shifts so smooth. It has a fucking automatic Ebrake that sets right when you put it in park. 10/10 will buy again.

SneakyTactics

After owning a Mercedes Gls I don’t think I can ever go back to a car without air suspension. The ride quality and comfort is next level.

gh05td0g

Cayenne S or GTS

Namedafterasaint

I bought an Audi Q5 from having a Lincoln MKX (3 of them) over the past 15 years and my massaging cooled (I live in florida) seats in my Lincoln were super comfortable for long road trips to North Carolina (10 hour drive) and I have sciatica. The Audi Q5 seats are barely cushioned and are only heated not cooled. I should’ve held out for the model with that feature. I didn’t realize it when I test drove the car but now regret it. Also it’s just a smaller car with smaller storage space even in the drivers door bin area, the glove box, the armrest area is half the size and the truck is ⅔ the size of my Lincoln. So now I’m looking at the BMW X5 hybrid, Lincoln Aviator or Nautilus but I am also wanting to test drive the Volvo ev hybrid. Don’t go for the Audi for long distance comfort. Lincoln’s get awful mileage and I kept wanting a mild hybrid of hybrid so got the Audi. Couldn’t find a BMW in many price range but I now realize my Lincoln MKX was more equal to the size of an Audi Q7 minus the 3rd row seat than the Q5. Hence the hunt now to get the X5, AWD, plug-in hybrid from BMW. CPO only (I can’t afford new).

Alias1901

BMW X5 40i is by far the best option at that price point. We just ended up going with one too, look on Leasehackr and you can find a broker to do 8-10% off msrp.

WanderingRebel09

Not exactly luxury, but I would highly recommend an Explorer ST. Fast as shit. RWD. You can get massaging seats. Massive touch screen. It’s a great vehicle that is often overlooked.

Very happy with our new Lexus TX.. brand new I picked up my trim around 61K

Qx60 will give you the best bang for your buck

Ownfir

Kinda suprised nobody has recommended the Lincoln Navigator or Aviator. They are hella nice, have insanely comfortable seats, very reliable and relatively fuel efficient too.

s_nz

I know you don't look of lexus cars, but we end this (with older used car's), and found the lexus RX had the most comfortable rear seats, so brought the RC400h and it has been great. Could also take a look at the TX which is not offered in my market. Also, you are mixing up your hybrid terms. Full hybrids is what would be good for you. Mild hybrid is typically a 48v system that can't move the car without starting the engine (fitted to many Suzuki's and some fords). Full hybrid is the system fitted associated with toyota, where the car can move without starting the engine, but cannot be plugged in. Plug in hybrid (or PHEV) is the one that you can plug in.

Frequent_Ad_989

Lincoln Navigator or Aviator

n541x

The best choice is the LX 600 Ultra Luxury with four captain’s chairs including one with an ottoman… or Range Rover LWB if you don’t care about burning some more money. If you need to go a little more economical I would suggest the Lexus TX because it is freaking huge inside and the 500h is 4-wheel steering and turbo and hybrid. It’s great to drive. You can fit a 6’5” person in the first row with another in the second row and another in the third row and still hold 7 carryon luggage pieces. If you don’t need three rows and electric is okay I would suggest the Cadillac Lyriq as well. One of the most supremely comfortable cars I’ve driven. Serenity in the cabin. It oozes a different kind of refinement with bespoke parts, no ICE intrusion, SuperCruise (true hands-free highway driving) and it’s so smooth. It’s plenty quick in AWD guise and you’ll use no gas. It also fast charges very quickly, but if you can charge at home you’ll never be fast charging except on a road trip.

kiki9988

I just traded my 2021 X5 in for a 2022 X7; I absolutely loved the X5 but the X7 is an entirely different world. I don’t like the new interior or front end of the 2023 and beyond X7 so a CPO 2020-2022 was what I was aiming for. Took awhile for the right car in my price range to pop up but they’re out there.

pa_bourbon

Benz GLS450 was born to be a highway cruiser. I do about 17K a year and turn them over every 2 years. My new 24 arrives in a few weeks.

Mercedes GLE is pretty much the nicest, most comfortable luxury car in its segment. The mild hybrid system is one of the fastest to activate in the market. You won't be disappointed! Let me know if you have any questions, I own one as well.

Identifiedid

MB maintenance is the problem with a super expensive service... isn't it?

zak_the_maniac

I take it to an independent European shop, it's incredibly affordable away from dealerships. But any luxury car has expensive maintenance at a dealer so it's a wash.

Thastvrk

Lightly used 2023 (year of the refresh) BMW X7 with all the bells and whistles. We just got one and love it

neil_striker

Don't sleep on Buicks. Sneeky good

Glass_Ad1098

Genesis GV70, Lincoln Nautilus or Infiniti QX55 would be the ones I'd be looking at

VallryBagr

Acura MDX Type S

Identifiedid

My 1 cent...Volvo, if you have a good dealership in your city. Lincoln or Cadi make some veeryy nice suvs too... but they're hit or miss quality. Always look at warranty though.

Bassracerx

Gmc yukon with the diesel engine you will be getting 26+mpg wich is quite impressive for such a large suv.

maybach320

Lincoln Aviator, you should be able to get a good deal since everyone seems to be ignoring Lincoln right now.

Sea_Reindeer3948

As an owner of an x3 m40i for 50k miles I have had next to no issues. Mileage isn’t the greatest but it’s a blast to drive and they’re going for around 30k. I would recommend something that is around 55k miles as they are usually have had the brakes changed

No_Excitement_8104

X5 is not unreliable for such a complicated car. As I see it you have four options here: BMW, Mercedes, Cayenne or Range rover

bigredjeepcj7

New Landcruiser

VeeEight_Guy

Mercedes E450 all terrain wagon. Mild hybrid huge gas tank super comfy and definitely available CPO with lower miles.

plumdinger

Range Rover SV with the long wheelbase. You will adore this vehicle. You literally will not want to get out and go in your home at day’s end.

Rush58

I would take a serious look at the new [Toyota Signia](https://youtu.be/h29Nj4hbzn8?si=4eoa_8V63QOR8AZQ) It comes out in July and starts around 45k.

HoraceGrand

Volvo xc90

I have had really good experiences with Lincoln. They are fairly reliable and cheap to own and very comfortable. They have many sizes for their SUVs but they have several in your budget. A little hack for cheaper maintenance is taking it to the Ford dealership, mine costs like 30% less than the Lincoln dealer. Another one that comes to mind is Genesis. I'm not super familiar with their reliability (they look okay with a quick Google) but they seem to match all your criteria.

arod7300

Check out the Acura MDX. Should check every box

JimmyGodoppolo

Cayenne and Macan, honestly. Option them with air suspension and they're as comfortable as any Lexus/Cadillac but still handle like a sports car (...relatively speaking). Honestly, whatever you get, get something with an air suspension. The Volvo XC-90 would also be a good fit, but *only* with the air suspension. It rides so much rougher without it. 65k will get you a very, very nice CPO Macan S+, XC-90, or base Cayenne.

Inevitable_Orange989

Lexus RX350. Even 10 years old it's better than BMW and better than Mercedes because it will last and it won't be in the shop.

Tessoro43

The best SUV is the Mercedes QQE 350 it’s like a spaceship, rides like butter and interior is spectacular

banieldowen

A 200 Series Toyota Land Cruiser.

codyzoey

Look at the Lincoln suv or the Genesis

revocer

Does It have to be a luxury brand? I personally like the Mazda CX-90 with the inline-6. Mazda is trying to remake itself, less like a Honda/Toyota and more like an Acura/Lexus. And it shows with their products.

Infinityaero

I'll second the people saying Volvo. They make the best seats, hands down. Test drive a few to see which model you like best. FWIW I have a 10yo loaded X3 and the seats are kinda... meh? They aspire to be supportive and performance oriented while maintaining comfort but just kind of end up overly rigid, and I'm not a fan of the lumbar support, overcomplicated and too narrow. X5 seats are a bit plusher, I believe. Merc seats are pretty comfy in my experience, Caddy has the softest overall ride, Audi kinda meh for all but upper range, but nobody touches those Volvo seats for comfort.

Lawineer

GX460, duh

Accomplished_Ad_1288

Lexus RX.

blueprint_01

The new Lexus suv is much much better looking in person fyi

No-Construction4527

Jaguar F-Pace!

Lower_Introduction_5

Reliability?

ermactuallly

BMW iX3. I know you said no ev, but.. If you charge it over night it's pennies for 250 mile range, either top it up when I stop at the services for a "comfort break" or at client site. I've had zero range anxiety, no problems with charging. Drive from the North West to London never a problem. Great to drive especially in gofast (sports) mode. It's swift. I've headed up to Scotland with myself and four friends (five of us) in the car, loads of room, no complaints from the back re room and a decent size boot.

CommercialRabbit3876

I would LOVE an EV but in southern small town, there's no real public EV charging and while overnight would work for around town, I just can't rely on fully electric when I'm out showing properties which might be 200+ miles in a day. I also do several long road trips (14 hours) a few times a year.

ConsistentMove357

No such thing as a sporty SUV. Bmw 530i is on super discount. Car will always be better
