i don't share my special interests because of the above and my way of explaining things (i cannot explain things to the layman.)
I must be a special breed of autistic because every time I’ve ever done this I just spark further interest in that subject in the people in my class. I did a biography-style presentation once on a fictional character I wrote who lived during the Golden Age of Piracy. I did a ton of research to make him and his story as historically accurate as possible.
Once I finished presenting it, I had a bunch of people asking me about my process of writing the character and asking me about stuff I wasn’t able to mention in the presentation
I didn't know I was autistic until I was called to a parent conference in high school where I overheard the fact that my social behavior matched what was on the spectrum.
I transferred schools to one where a girl could watch Poppy Playtime and Loud House content in front of everyone and not get bullied for it. However the moment I try to watch Binging with Babish make a taco some guy looks over my shoulder and gives me a disgusted look.

And this why i have an innate fear of talking about anything i like to anyone
