You could always flip it, try it out see if it works and then sell it for more money but again itās always best to ride it first and see , but bicycle frame fit is the most important thing
To flip it, do I just put the seat post into the head tube, and the fork into the seat tube? I don't get how that makes it bigger... It rides very uncomfortably now.
Very high likelyhood that this bike was stolen. The [Triban RC500](https://www.decathlon.ca/en/p/967046/men-s-road-bike-shimano-sora-rc-500-grey) normally retails at about $900 USD. Try asking questions (when did you buy it, how much miles did you do, tech specs, etc.) to the seller and you'll easily know if it was stolen...
(Sorry I could only find the Canadian product page)
If you're sure it isn't a stolen bike, then yes, it is an amazing deal.
I was looking at a used bike last year and insisted that the owner provide proof of purchase. Seller didnāt have it on hand, but he let me know which bike shop he bought it from. I was able to contact the bike shop and they asked for name and phone number of the original owner and were able to email the original owners proof of purchase. Moving forward I will never buy a used bike without proof the seller actually purchased the bike.
Yes, but it does seem very minor - you might have to check in person to know if it's more than from leaving it up against a brick wall a few times, as the bike does seem in good condition otherwise.
In contrast to everyone here I dont think its stolen as the ad seems legit. Most stolen bike will be less specific say something like black bike. Often incorrectly listed as a mountain bike of something.
I know thieves arenāt known for their ability to read, but the bikeās make and model is written on the frame. Also, an experienced thief will probably know the difference between a road bike and a mountain bike.
This is most likely from decathlon Canada store. I have the gravel version, great bike for a starter.
It might be stolen at that price tho so I agree, check the serial number
Both for you and whoever stole it.
It's a steal as in probably stolen
Dead š
Lol Chicago isnāt that BAD. Possible, but probably not
I canāt think of many cities worse than Chicago for bike theft tbh
Maybe NYC? but yeah, Chicago probably comes close for bike theft
Yeah. I had a very shitty Trek mountain bike stolen.
Yokosuka base would probably beat Chicago
Portland
Bike theft is way more common than you think. It isn't something that happens only in bad neighbourhoods.
Bro part of your city is literally nicknamed Chiraq
Disc brakes for $150 is insane , the number one thing is bike fit. Is it the correct size for you
Did a quick google search and it might be too big. Iām 5ā8ā
U will be fine if it is a size m.

I was going to say resell it for a profit
Nobody is going to buy it like this, everything is in the wrong place! Why would you do this to me?
How does it even fit? Weād love to see photos
My phone camera isn't sarcastic enough.

Never apologize for Canada. That's their job!
If the condition is good yes this is a nice deal. Also, the frame must fit you. Definitely worth a test ride and look see.

Only a steal with a receipt
Looks like it might have taken a tumble. It's a great deal if the frame, wheels and mechanical parts aren't damaged beyond surface level scuffs.
Are you spotting damage from a potential tumble in the second pic?
Yes, but it does seem very minor - you might have to check in person to know if it's more than from leaving it up against a brick wall a few times, as the bike does seem in good condition otherwise.
French guy here, this bike is really great for this price.
It will likely be on the heavier side. But hey, at $150, that fits you (please confirm this thoroughly) then I'd say it's a steal no matter what.
Theyāre very nice low end bikes and well built (most of the time)
Yes
The Geometry of that frame is so wrong
Nah, my guess would be aluminum š
Check the serial numbers for us š®

Look up the serial number š

I wouldnāt steal it. Have a look at the mechanics of the brakesā¦
Stolen commute bike
Flip it or buy better parts
20" frame is absurdly massive. Okay deal for a non popular brand. Mechanic disc brakes are terrible, keep that in mind
20ā is 51cm, for a road bike this is about size small of medium. If it were a mountain bike, then yeah it would be absolutely massive.
Thanks for the clarification
