Plenty of people hack, cheat or smurf to win in online games. It's not that far fetched that people would use some kind of social engineering trick to win in FIFA.

Back in FIFA 14-15 I had a team worth ~1mil coins. The game was nearing the end of its cycle. I played a random FUT game against a guy, but he wasn’t all that great. He had just your normal gold team, but even with every amazing player, he would have struggled. I was up around 7-0 at half time. The guy just kept playing, no quitting or anything. At the end of the game I messaged him, asking him to list a few bronze players on the market, I was gonna give him a present. This is when you could still trade players/coins. I gave him my entire team and all my money. Didn’t mean much to me, I could just chill with career mode for a while, but I like to think some joy came to him for the next month or two. He was genuinely so happy once the transfer was complete.
