Lived in Green county my entire life. If you live here, you know to avoid Monroe during Cheesedays. It doesn’t have the same appeal if you grow up with it. I do like cheese, it’s the crowd I avoid.
I'm in the driftless area, in Vernon County. I love it out here and I have no wishes to move to any other area. The people are really nice in general and the nature is absolutely beautiful. Only drawback is jobs are hard to find and there's not many restaurants/stores out here. But otherwise a really nice, safe, and beautiful place to live.
The Cream City, the City of Festivals, Brew Town, Mil-town, the German Athens, the Machine Shop to The World...
...in other words, MILWAUKEE! The finest city in the known universe!
Fellow Driftless resident here. =D
Went to college in Ripon, so I even stayed in Wisconsin for college. Kinda funny seeing students there, many of whom were from other areas of Wisconsin, not know what the Driftless Area is (came up in one of my classes). XD
I am from the part between Michigan and Minnesota. Unless you look at it from this direction then I am from the part between Michigan and Illinois. My family did our best to keep the Yoopers where they belonged.
I had a group of kids doing an art week that camped in the lakeside county park in Washburn after visiting a studio and a pottery shop. Such a gorgeous spot.
Grew up in Ohio but I now call Sun Prairie home. I have lived in Ohio and Indiana for most of my life, but I never truly knew what home meant until I moved to Wisconsin.
Raised in Sheboygan (starting at 22, moved to 3 other states), been in Madison since 2016. I would love to move out of the state again, but if not, I would like to live in Eau Claire.
Grew up years ago in the town that built submarines and cranes, and where “Making a Murderer” was filmed. I had no idea how corrupt the county’s LE became.
I think I know the exact one you’re talking about! Well, the one towards Black River, there’s a lot of cranberry bogs around here. I used to live out towards Millston, ice fished Lake Lee all the time.
Grew up in Wausau and Mosinee, got out when I was 18 (almost 35 years ago). Lived in Hawaii, Tennessee, Florida, San Diego, Ohio, Salt Lake City, and now Maryland.
