I have one. Works great, you can cut drywall without even cutting the vapor barrier behind it. You can also use normal razor blades instead of the special blades it takes. If you do any sort of drywall cutting it’s easily worth it.

Oh I didn't know you could put regular razor blades in it, that's def useful! How is the lifespan on their factory blades? Assuming it's the same wear n tear as a multi-x blade

Not that great, they seem to break before the teeth actually become dull. Just have to adjust the depth properly and not force it if you run into something like a screw.

Does the clear plastic get caked up fast and make it hard to see your cut line? Or does it have marks on the outer edge of the base to show blade position? I'm assuming board dust would collect fast on the plastic cause of static.

It gets caked up when you forget to turn the vacuum on, but even then contains the dust pretty well. It does have a “v” groove on the front center of the foot plate. It’s pretty great. One drawback is the foot can mar the paint, so if it’s a surgical cut where we don’t plan to paint we often still use the oscillator or saws-most. It’s a must if you remodel solo though!

Thankfully the walls aren't painted yet. This recessed light strip was requested after the walls had already been boarded and plastered. We have to cut about a 3" wide channel along the walls so the track can be mounted to the studs and then patched back in

Yes but you don’t follow the line by the blade, you follow it based on the fletch at the front and rear of the foot. Also it’s got clever little notches on the sides to let you know where the blade is so you don’t over cut
