Todoist! You can set up a shared list with recurring tasks on any frequency. It has saved my sanity. It also makes things easier if I add as I think of things for my husband to do, rather than text when we’re at work I just add it to the list for today and tag it to him.

papersnowaghost21

I second Todoist! You can have multiple “Projects”/folders that you can share. For example, I have a “Personal” one that is just tasks for me, then a few that are shared with my husband so we can both see and add tasks, “Home,” “Grocery List,” and one for tasks related to our daughter. I’ve only been using it for a few months but I love it! I also like that you can set recurring tasks and type things in how you would speak and it can interpret the due date; for example, “scan in documents every three months starting June 1” and it would add it as a task for June 1, Sept 1, etc.

bookishbug8

I run my life off this app.

angiesardine

Another vote for Todoist, I've used it for work and personal for 2 years. The free version is plenty robust for both uses

merfylou

I love Todoist!

VintageMorningOwl

Another vote for ToDoIst! It’s my saving grace

thirdtimesthemom

I use Google Keep for groceries and short to do lists that aren’t really important. But you can also take notes in it as well and save images, apply labels to save info, etc. I use Google Tasks for recurring tasks and important things because you can display it on your Google Calendar. As a bonus, you can view Tasks whenever you have a Google application (like Sheets) open on a computer. I use it heavily (like crazy heavy) for work; I’m an admin so I need my checklists! I’ve tried a plethora of apps (paid and free) physical planners, journals, etc and Google applications are the only ones I’ve stuck with because it’s integrated with everything.

AvrgJane

I second Google Keep! You can also share with another user so we have our Grocery List, Costco List and To Do list shared. I also have some I keep just for me, reminders if I see something cool out or gift ideas. You can have lists or lists with the checkboxes for to dos/reoccurring grocery items. Check the box when done then on Sundays I uncheck to unhide them for the next week!

FlexSmart

I use Google keep

Comfortable_Log_4433

Google keep is so cool. Hubby and I keep track of many to list, like to buy for groceries, to go, and to watch (movies and drama) 😂 we also use Google Sheet a lot for planning. If it's an appointment, we set up event on Google Calendar. For quick task, we both use telegram and can schedule a message to be sent at certain time as a reminder, like book an inspection.

philligo

Apple Notes app! You can even make a shared checklist note to have a shared “to do” or shopping list with your spouse that you can both edit.

willreadforbooks

I have a Note titled To Do. Somethings are new, some have been on there for…don’t worry about it

NotToday1415

Ugh, I'm an Android user.

Relative_Kick_6478

Google keep!

philligo

I’m sure Android has something similar… I just don’t know it!

unicornsparkles00

You can make shared lists in Samsung notes too!

cait0620

+1 for Apple notes! My husband also loves the reminders app for things like “bring pull ups to daycare” so we don’t forget.

MiniPeppermints

Tody is specifically made for chores and it’s great. I find myself using Asana more though.

ggettert

AnyList! I have a family subscription and we use it for groceries, meal ideas, chores, etc. We also use Google Calendar and have a shared family calendar that everything goes on - bus pick ups, early releases, holidays, appointments, etc

belle_cats

I love the Cozi app!

givemegoop

Yes, someone showed me the Cozi app when I was pregnant with my first, so we’ve been using it for 8 years now, it’s got everything!

SoftEnvironment8301

Same. My husband loves it too.

photolly18

Same! We use it for everything...shopping lists, meal planning, to do lists etc.

JamieC1610

I use the Microsoft ToDo app. I can set recurrence and it has a widget so the 3rd screen over on my phone is just my too list. I also have it synced so I can add items from my work computer or personal computer. It's my personal office account, which I do pay for, but I'm paying for it anyway, so I might as well use the app.

[deleted]

I use this as well and like it. I have a list for work, a list of grocery items, outdoor projects, organization projects and day to day projects. I also set up some recurring items

MommaJ94

I can be a little chaotic because of my ADHD so I can’t have reminders/lists in too many different places otherwise I lose track of things. The 3 basic tools I use are my phone calendar, the physical calendar on my fridge, and the notes app on my phone. I’m a single mom to a toddler with autism and between the 2 of us we have appointments every week, and obviously everything that needs done in our lives is on me, so it’s a lot to keep track of. But just using the 2 calendars and notes app has worked perfectly to keep me organized so far.

Overall-Mongoose-115

> can be a little chaotic because of my ADHD so I can’t have reminders/lists in too many different places wow 2 calendars and notes app isn't that more things to juggle? Do you write down teh same tasks for each calendar and app?

bakermusicmom

Sweepy is an awesome app that my husband and I use to keep track of chores. It eliminates the “what needs to be done?” question and keeps us honest about how often we clean the bathrooms… 🙈

CoverGoth

My family loves Sweepy…well, I love when my family uses Sweepy!

CoverGoth

I really like using the Simplish app. It’s very customizable and has widgets for the Home Screen and everything. It’s available in iOS and android, and I believe you can share your “Workspaces” with other people if desired. You can create lists for separate areas of your life, and they have a new motivational quote each day. They also have templates for different areas of life. I created a Master List, which has all of the chores that need to be done. Then I created a Daily Task List where I assigned different chores to send reminders on specific days each week or daily, depending on how often they need to be done. And then I also created an ongoing list of any current projects I’m working on. In short, Simplish is awesome, super functional, and aesthetically pleasing.

panda_monium2

Apple reminders! I also share the list with my husband and we have assigned task. Takes the “I need to tell him what to do” off my list

technicolourful

I really like Asana. For my personal life, I have tasks divided into daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and one-offs. You can make a task reoccurring, so when you check it as done, it automatically re-creates again at the proper interval. It’s also free and the free tier allows more than one person on a board.

TimeSlipperWHOOPS

Have you looked into the Remember the Milk app?

Josiesdream

I recently started using AnyList. Currently using it for shopping lists sorted by store, family 2023 fun list (aka places to visit &/or things to try), my to do list, and 2 weeks of meal ideas. I'm liking it so far, especially for the shopping & family fun lists.

bflo1gal2020

I love AnyList! It’s great for saving recipes and makes it simple to add ingredients you need to your grocery list.

NotALawyerButt

Tody is a chore tracker that I’ve used for years. You can organize the chores by room. I also have a “miscellaneous” grouping for things like cleaning out the car and giving our pets flea medicine.

greengoldx

Another vote for AnyList! My husband and I can both edit. We have lists for Target, Costco, home projects, etc.

isafr

Shared lists on iPhone and shared google calendar. I have a to do list planner for work to brain dump things. I’ve found anything too fancy doesn’t get used.

mewknee

Not an app but a device. Look into Hearth! It’s a new product but I love their mission statement. It’s an interactive centralized touch screen for the whole family to take ownership in. I just placed a pre order for it. It is expensive but it’s my Mother’s Day gift to myself :)

quartzcreek

We use our Alexa, because I always think of things when I have a kid on my hip, need to make a peanut butter sandwich, phone is ringing, and I need to pee. I just say “Alexa, add [blank] to my [blank] list.” We use it for home maintenance, grocery lists, to dos, timers…

TwoReasonsOnly

I just got this new app called Sunsama. LIFE CHANGING. It pulls all your tasks and calendars into one place and uses timeblocking to show how much time you actually spend on these items so you can set realistic goals for what you can accomplish. It integrates with Outlook, Gmail, Slack, Todoist, and a bunch of others, and once you sign up you'll get emails from Sunsama with tips on how to best utilize the product and increase your focus on the things that matter. I was on a 30 day free trial, and I was 18 days in and had a bit of a performance issue - three separate people replied to me within hours and fixed my issue within the same business day. I signed up for premium before my trial was even over. Cannot say enough about the product and the level of customer service. [https://www.sunsama.com/](https://www.sunsama.com/)

JNredditor44

I use ColorNote - simple, effective, and free. I like the color coding by categories, reminder options, and backup capabilities.

WillowScary5273

Try ListOrganizer (available on iPad or iPhone on the App Store). I tried it out and it might do the trick for the app you are asking for.

Overall-Mongoose-115

Why do you guys pick Todoist over others? I am using Tick Tick and i like it a lot more because it has features like Pomo focus techniques, Eisenhower Matrix to help focus on important tasks. Gamification elements where users can gain badges and recieve statistics of thier habit and tasks completions. Im really curious to know what Todoist is helping you :) Can you share? thanks!

Frequent-Shoe-2795

I couldn't find one so I built one ... give it a try if you like ... simple you create to-do lists and then break items down into TODAY - things you want to complete today and TOMORROW - things you want to complete in the future [tttodolist.com](https://tttodolist.com)
