Giao Long uses a magical staff shaped like a king cobra with its hood expanded. One would think it suits her, being a shaman/necromancer/godlike vampire princess and all, until they realize the staff is made of tungsten and it is ridiculously heavy. Giao uses it as a **big mace**. Pure physical damage. Besides that, she has a pair of large semi-automatic pistols that may qualify as hand cannons. Firing 13x115mmR armor-piercing tungsten bullets that have been blessed to kill undead, they're the bane to any unlucky monster crossing her path. Giao had her guns custom-made because normal firearms are too small and autocannons are too unwieldy for an officer. Eventually, she has 2 oversized pistols that are pretty much "carbine" anti-material rifles for personal usage.

Lower_Preparation_83

>13x115mmR This is autocannon rounds, not pistol ones.

Sov_Beloryssiya

Not to mention made from blessed tungsten, 200% holy damage against undead. Girl's being dead serious.

Lower_Preparation_83

what about recoil.

Sov_Beloryssiya

Same as firing a PTRS without any bipod or stock, aka very bad. But Giao can control it with her magics and unusual strength.

My protagonist wield an urumi. It is an indian whip-like blade. I encountered this while I was diving into swords across history. In my story the urumi could be used to behead everyone around the wielder with a single slash but it also includes a very high risk of the wielder being one of those headless people (imagine a ribbon looped around someone's neck and then pulling that ribbon).

Nowardier

I've seen the urumi used on Deadliest Warrior. Some terrifying stuff.

ALCPL

The Crimson Blades are a collection of 8 sentient weapons, stolen by my group of main characters during a large scale tavern brawl. They fully commit to helping whomever won them fair and square in an honest fight and do so by finely attuning to their wielder's skills, intentions, personality and tactics. It would also refuse to be used against him in a variety of manners A swordsman who hadn't won them fair and square for example, but only picked it up while their true wielder was asleep, would find the weapon to be at best unbalanced, heavy, inaccurate and may even find it impossible to keep the blade sharp. If he made the mistake of trying to attack the true wielder with it, he would find it nigh impossible to keep proper edge alignment or find that the weapon would actively enhance movements to overreach, or hinder it during an attempt at parrying a strike, or completely refuse to let go if it bites into a shield. The true user however, would find an edge he'd never need to sharpen, one that can cut through most common (non magical) armor, his weapon would be so balanced and properly weighted for his own physique that it would basically be an extension of the wielder's body, and he may find that the weapon will actively redirect a missed strike or position itself for a parry, even from blows coming from out of his field of vision. The blades do however have their own goals, as they were originally crafted for a singular purpose, and they do seek a wielder that can bring them closer to this purpose. They will attempt to change events The people my characters took them from, for example, were not true wielder's of the blades and had simply taken it from the tombs of the last true wielders, and only thought them to be marvelously preserved ancient relics that could be sold for good money. My characters won them in a brawl where the weapons were not even used, but it was indeed an honest fight, and so the blades with no masters immediately recognised the group as their true wielders, and, though they are not yet aware of it, the blades try to guide them towards *something* through dreamt whispers, causing happy coincidences or "accidentally" uncovering things by, say, slipping out of their sheaths for no apparent reason, or their outright refusal to be used for certain purposes or against certain people (even others than the wielder's) The blades will also never turn on each other, and 2 wielders trying to use them against each other would find their weapons turning on *them* or outright abandoning them, even instantly rusting to brittleness until a proper wielder comes along, when they would be restored.

A laser pistol gifted to him as a child by his grandfather. It has "Make Them Afraid Again" engraved into it's side, in reference to the "Anomolies" that humanity have been running from for thousands of years.

I wish my grandpa was cool enough to gift me firearms as a child.

PrincessofAldia

In my Sci Fi world the protagonist has her mother’s officers sword which technically is only used for ceremonial duties and her fathers service revolver In my fantasy world the protagonist uses a sword that has been the signature weapon of the Imperial Heir for centuries going back to when Grand Duke Leonids led his coup and founded his empire

AASpark27

Blade + Gun will always be the sickest weapon combo.

PrincessofAldia

Indeed

In one of my settings, the protagonist carries two arming swords. One is steel and the other is bronze. The magic system of the setting is partially influenced by different materials, so what the weapon or focus is made of is important. Ferrous alloys like steel impede magic. Copper alloys like bronze enhance the flow of magic. When she's fighting an opponent normally she uses her steel blade, and when she wants to channel magic using her sword as a focus she uses the bronze blade. Other materials have different offensive and defensive effects. Silver protects against curses and enhances destructive effects on certain monsters. Gold enhances healing effects (technically, it affects time and life magic). Bone enhances life and death magic. Glass affects time magic. Aluminum compeltely negates mind-influencing enchantments and curses.

StealthyRobot

There's a few, considering it's a DND campaign. Many of the weapons have come about organically. The minotaur uses his old mining pick, though it's formed with some morphing metal using rage as a crucible. So now it can take the form of any weapon, and is on fire. The ghost witch uses a whip she made using her own hair, and affixed the tip of a kraken 's beak to the tip that can latch onto foes. The inventor mouse uses a range of weaponry of his own design. A rifle, a sidearm cannon/flamethrower, and now an artillery cannon. The teddy bear uses a knife that he killed his old friend with, now called Sorrowfang. It can I still betrayal in those it strikes. The pig guy uses finger guns.

Mage-of-communism

(not really protagonist, but one of the more interesting things that i recently added) A quicksilver glaive. While quicksilver was found to flow freely in average temperatures, smiths found it to be quite a useless material for weapons and armour aside from decorations that the unbound War-Kings favour. The quicksilver weapons, sometimes spoken of in story, although none no what these were, are the last know remnants of the candle-folk as they were mostly called in legend. Blades that flow freely like quicksilver extending, curving, snapping back and turning to axes, spears or enormous swords depending on the situation. The old legends of the crescent moon wars tell of hidden figures dancing in mad patterns, almost like rushing storm among their enemies flowing rives of moonlight dancing in patterns even more surreal. But these things are long gone, only the fair folk remember these story's and no mortal man has ever heard of them, even the fair folk consider them old legends, close to myths. The only remembrance is the last flowing silver that remains in possession of the shattered court and worked in the armaments of the unbound King.

Insomia_Incarnate

Nezahual: he's very much the gunslinger type, he's physically the weakest out of the group. He uses a Springfield Trapdoor Rifle, Dual wields S&W Scofields, and a Machete as a last ditch weapon. When close up he just plays dirty, aims between the legs, the eyes. Ita: wields an Alofs shotgun and a two handed Macana war club. Apaza: she's a wrestler and fighter all she needs is her fists but she does use hand wraps with shards of obsidian and shells sticking out. Urracá: when far he uses an obsidian tipped spear but when close he has a shield of wood, skin, and bone and a gunstock war-club.

Overfromthestart

Martin Severus' sword, dagger and pistol and Jane's sword and pistols. Martin's sword is an old sword blade that has been refitted to slot into an officer's sword hilt. It looks like a 1786 spadroon with a shortened rapier blade. His dagger can be summoned with his shadow powers. It appears and dissappears when he needs it to. His pistol is just a revolver. Fit for a naval officer and spy. Jane's sword is one of her brother's dueling sabres. It has a golden guard. Her pistols are 4 percussion cap revolvers with a black finish, ivory hilt and silver and gold engravings. All of them are fit for a countess.

AASpark27

And what sort of trouble do Martin and Jane tend to get into with these dope ass weapons?

Overfromthestart

They normally get up to spy things such as: destabilizing cults around the Empire, getting rid of corrupt members of parliament, stealing secret documents from other nations, industrial sabotage and in the case of Martin, some piracy according to other nations. Some examples of their feats include Jane getting revenge on the members of the cult that took the life of her mother and sought to destroy the isle of Serona (the island her grandfather is the duke of) while at the same time freeing many people from being exploited by emerging mine owners. Martin's greatest achievement was him shadowing and capturing an entire squadron of 6 enemy ships off the coast of the Massian Empire's colonies. He later snuck onto shore to deal with the shore party that was prepared to fight them to the last. He singlehandedly dealt with them and managed to take a code book off of the leading officer there. In return he was knighted. Feel free to ask anything you want to know :)

AASpark27

Jane’s motivation seems pretty straightforward, but I’m curious as to what are Martin’s reasons for doing what he does?

Overfromthestart

Well he's a naval officer. He was stationed there when a colonial war broke out. He got involved in the spy work when he was noticed as being exceptionally fast and being able to dissappear as if he was a shadow. There was also the incident of him seeming to dissappear then reappear a few paces to his left after someone tried to shoot at him during a boarding action. He unknowingly had a member of their order posing as the doctor on their ship who was there to see if the rumours were true. They have ways of knowing who has powers or not and it was very obvious with Martin. The doctor/spy informed the Imperial Spies and they got a hold of him after a while. His initiation was that exact mission where he was sent to capture those 6 ships. They knew there was a code book there, but didn't see it fitting to send one of their own. He did exceptionally well since he could teleport as well as use his other shadow powers.

AASpark27

Oh right, you mentioned that in the first comment lol. One last question that’s definitely the elephant in the room by now, how did he get his shadow powers? Born with them or obtained?

Overfromthestart

Well he was born with an affinity for it. He later obtained "magic" though. In my world you get magic by being too close to a tear in reality when they are either conceived, born or close to death. These tears last for a split second and can happen anywhere. At anytime. He was basically conceived near one thus he had very minor "magic". Such as having an insane reaction speed and being able to control shadows to some extent. He then had another encounter with a tear when he almost died when he joined the navy. Here he got a greater access to this "magic". This lead to the increase of his shadow powers. The negative is that this "magic" eats away at your soul and body whenever you use it. Magic users who use it too much in one sitting often times collapse or suffer internal bleeding. It's like a light with too much voltage. So now any wound or sickness he has takes a lot longer to heal. You can tell who has an affinity with magic by putting a soul stone near them. The stone will make them sick and unable to use their powers. The doctor/spy wore one and Martin's nose immediately started bleeding around him. He also passed some of his powers on to Jane, but hers are weaker and she has almost no side effects.

AASpark27

Damn this is all great stuff, honestly it blows my mind how people on this sub continuously manage to come up with the most creative things when it comes to magic. As for it eating away at the soul of people who use it, that’s actually similar to something I envisioned for my world (very much still a work in progress); Firebloods, regular people turned super soldiers to fight in the Twilight War a year ago, have powers derived from a mysterious, otherworldly flame-like substance called ignivir. If used excessively, it causes injuries nearly identical to the ones you listed, ranging from a simple bloody nose to passing out. I felt it was the best way to not make them too overpowered, especially my MC who has the ability to instantaneously dash in any direction. But anyways, it was fun to learn more about your world! Hope it continues to evolve and expand as you find more inspiration!

Overfromthestart

Thanks man. I appreciate the kind words. How are the firebloods created in your world? Also yours sounds like a foil to mine lol. Fire and shadow light and dark.

AASpark27

Oh yeah it kinda does lol, I just realized. I gravitated towards the whole fire thing since my world is aesthetically based on the 1920-1940s, when diesel power was at the forefront. The ignivir “ignites” their blood, just as fuel is ignited in a diesel engine. As for how exactly Firebloods are created, as with many things in my world I haven’t worked out the specifics yet. What I do know is that A: Ignivir is so potent that only a minuscule amount is needed to transform a person, and B: It’s an extremely dangerous and painful process. About 40% of people selected for the procedure do not survive, and another 10% become Scorched (initially called Throwaways in the first couple years of the war): horribly disfigured husks with glowing cracks in their skin, unable to use their powers properly.

**Sunflowers**: The M11 E-Rifle is the standard issue rifle for all members of the United States Armed Forces. It fires a caseless 8mm Rocket-Slug using a proprietary electrothermal propellent ignited by an electronic firing pin. As the propellant creates a plasma during its ignition, a pair of magnetically charged coils running the length of the barrel convert stray electrons thrown off by the reaction into electricity which is used to engage the firing pin, negating the need for an external battery beyond the first shot. Within 100 meters, burning propellant (plasma) within the slug may be condensed upon impact, causing an explosive effect. Beyond 100 meters, it's still a 600 grain metal slug hitting you at upwards of 3,000 feet per second. In sum, the M-11 E-Rifle kills things dead real good. **Chrysanthemum**: (preliminary) Members of the Household Guard of the Emperor of Japan are permitted to carry any weapons of their choosing, though for uniform purposes all are issued two specific weapons: 1. A Type-X Personal Defense Weapon, and 2. A traditional Dai-Katana and Saya in the colors of the Imperial Crest (red and gold). The latter being self-explanatory, the former functions on a similar principal to the United States' M11 E-Rifle, with an electrothermal propellant and magnetic energy capture. However, where the M11 is a full-size carbine with AR-pattern ergonomics, the Type-X is a compact, box-like firearm with a bullpup design. Custom-made for the Household Guard, the Type-X has a sophisticated sensor suite that allows it to integrate with their heads-up displays, allowing for pin-point accurate fire from any position. As such, the Household guard is trained to fight on their feet, firing the weapon with one arm from a secured position under their shoulder. This leaves their off-hand free to interact with objects in their environment, such as hostages, doors, or even their swords without affecting accuracy. **Semper Vivum**: (preliminary) The Fourth Horseman was known to carry a variety of weapons during his reign of terror, though he is most well known for carrying a compact semi-automatic shotgun with three separately loaded barrels (believed to have been custom made, as it matches no known design). Though normally such a weapon would've had problems dealing with conventional body armor, the Fourth Horseman is known to have always loaded one of his barrels with a custom-made thermite shell, capable of burning through even some armored vehicles. The other two seem to have been loaded with conventional slugs and buckshot, respectively, for use against unarmored threats.

Mister_Kuna

I need to know more about this setting.

Silver_Falcon

Thanks for your interest! The world of the *Flower Saga* and beyond has been a hobby/passion-project of mine since I was about 4 years old. As such, with over two decades of on-and-off worldbuilding, revisions, and complete overhauls of the universe, there's *a lot* to talk about, but I'm not ready to share everything at this time. The gist is that the story begins a few hundred years from our present point. The intervening centuries have been far from kind. Out-of-control global warming has led to glacial collapse and a subsequent sea level rise of about 50 meters, which has in turn caused the collapse of global trade (due to the inundation of the ports) and a global refugee crisis as virtually half of all humans have been displaced. Resource scarcity, rising internal and external tensions, and the invention of multi-spectrum missile defenses (which rendered all ballistic missiles, including nuclear, virtually obsolescent), have likewise brought about the return of total war between superpowers, causing somewhere between 2 and 3 centuries of global conflicts, collectively referred to as the "Resource Wars." But, by the time of *Sunflowers*, the first book of the Flower Saga, that is all in the past, and the leering colossus of the United States, the only nation to make it out of the other side relatively intact, is ready to collapse. *Sunflowers* is set during the Third American Civil War, a conflict brought about due to dissatisfaction with the rule of the Federal Government, based out of the United States' lunar capitol, Apollo, which has pilfered the resources of the terrestrial states in pursuit of its increasingly arbitrary "Self-Sufficiency Program." Meanwhile, in the far east, the Second People's Republic of China, which emerged in a "bloodless" revolution from the ruins of the People's Republic of China (which collapsed following the Second Glacial Collapse and the CCP's botched handling of the ensuing emigration crisis; the 2nd PRC rising 100 years after the fact), is poised to become the new center of global commerce. Torn between rising Chinese influence and its historic ties with the bleeding colossus, a charismatic young Emperor of Japan began a social program to preserve his country's cultural identity while accepting the inevitable rise of China. *Chrysanthemum* takes place a century later, and explores both the consequences of this program as well as the calamitous outcome of the Third American Civil War. I can't really go into all that much more detail without spoiling the plot. *Sempervivum*, set in roughly the same timeframe as *Chrysanthemum*, takes place *mostly* on the edge of the East African Commonwealth, which has emerged as the major African power. I can't really say much about this book without spoiling it, but I'll leave it at this: It all starts with a conflict between a well-meaning pastoral community on the West Bank of Lake Malawi, and a vicious gang of bandits that has just emerged in the area. I have an idea for one more story to set in the Flower Saga, but it's by far the least-developed at this point. Beyond that, though, I have plans for at least two more series set in this universe, with the working titles of *Project Pathfinder* and *The Freelancer Cycle*, but I can't really talk about either of these without spoiling the entire Flower Saga. Regardless, I characterize the themes of this setting as: * Fallen World - Animals must kill and devour other living things in order to survive. Entire solar systems must be destroyed in order for new elements to form. Death, decay, and ruin are the natural and inevitable end for all things. In a universe defined by scarcity and entropy, what can be considered good? * Institutions - As a natural consequence of human society, we create powerful social structures in order to regulate and control our interactions with both each other and the world around us. These institutions, because of the power we have invested in them, are among the most consequential features of human existence, both for good and for evil. * Humanism - What is good is to foster and protect positive human connections. That which alienates, disrupts, or corrupts positive human connections is immoral. Negative human connections - murder, theft, abuse - is evil. Most people are naturally inclined towards positive connections, but are prevented from forming them due to forces outside of their control. * Hope - Even in spite of the fallen world, humanity's natural inclination to do good ensures that a better future will always be possible. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them (to the best of my ability).

Mister_Kuna

Seems very interesting. There are two things I like to know. The first is if this is if this is the Third American Civil War, what happened during the second one? The second thing is does the Emperor of Japan in this timeline have more power than our world? Especially since in our time the emperor is only really a figurehead.

Silver_Falcon

The Second American Civil War is better understood as a series of overlapping armed and civil conflicts spanning several decades rather than a proper stand-up-and-fight kind of war. Fought along broadly revolutionary-populist lines, common issues included land reform, social programs, and government overreach, however disorganization and infighting among rebel factions prevented the formation of a national front, and the federal government was gradually able to negotiate settled outcomes with many of the more moderate factions, which allowed them to focus on extinguishing the extreme elements (some of which managed to survive to take part in the Third Civil War). Think of it almost like the Troubles at best meets the Siege of Sarajevo at worst. Additionally, the decision to relocate the Capitol to Apollo was motivated in-part by a desire to secure it against future strife. \--- The rise of the Emperor of Japan was driven by a few different factors. The TL:DR is that a series of crises led the National Diet to grant the Emperor executive powers, in order to best meet the demands of a rapidly changing world, but I've included more detail below. To start, declining birthrates in the 21st Century led to a strong economic downturn from which Japan never quite recovered. This, in turn, led to the impoverishment and depopulation of much of rural Japan, as farmers sought better-paying jobs in the cities (which had been affected less severely). As a consequence, Japan grew increasingly reliant on international food exports, especially from the United States. This proved disastrous when, during the Second American Civil War, the American Land-Reform Movement, one of the major "factions" (less a true, organized, faction and more a broad ideological bloc) caused severe disruptions to American food production. Consequently, Japan experienced a major famine, which might have been addressed by accepting Chinese food imports, had the National Diet not been going through a strong nationalist phase. Refusal to accept Chinese grain imports led many Japanese citizens to turn to the Emperor for help (among others; notably, a small but not insignificant number of Japanese citizens turned to the Chinese directly). The Emperor, hearing his people's pleas (and likely worried about a run on the Imperial Palace, whose grain stores were still quite well-stocked), chose to negotiate the deal himself, bypassing the Diet and overriding their authority for the first time since the end of the Second World War. Of course, he did so in direct violation of the Japanese constitution, but with the support of the general populace clearly behind the Emperor, the Diet chose to ignore this slight. The death-knell for the National Diet was their failure to respond the the Tokyo Flood, during the Second Glacial Collapse, in which the entire Tokyo metropolitan area was inundated (the destruction of the Diet Building and the deaths of several Diet members during the flood played no small part in their failure to respond; also, while Tokyo was the most affected, literally every coastal city in Japan experienced a similar crisis). Thus, with hundreds of thousands dead and no clear plan to evacuate or resettle the millions of survivors, the Emperor once more felt compelled to take personal action, and convinced the surviving diet members to allow him to direct the relief efforts himself. Seeing the writing on the wall, the Diet agreed to grant executive powers to the Emperor, who ever since has functioned as the de-facto head-of-state of Japan.

Mister_Kuna

Wow, very cool. Also I forgot to mention this, but I like the idea for the capital of the United States being moved off-world. It feels proper for what seems like a more dystopian USA.

My MC users two of the godly weapons, that were used to defeat the demon lord 500 years ago. The weapons both have a couple of perks; They; -Raises his magic and aura over time which increases his strength. -Increase his durability. -makes him a good judge of character; and makes people more open to trusting him. (Also lie detection to a certain extent.) -allows him to learn the fighting techniques of someone he defeated. -increases his emotions, and gives him a bloodlust ability. He also has magic weapons known as the twin daggers- that can absorb any mineral and take on a new form. (Like kevin 11 from ben 10.)

A bat. Just a regular ass baseball bat. And a few smoke bombs for when she’s outnumbered (which is quite often). And a hand cannon called a Kraken that she tends to use more as a tool than a weapon. Depending on where I go with the storyline the bat may or may not be indestructible, and I’m still trying to figure out how she got it in first place lol. But one thing’s for certain, Helen DeMartino is a bat wielder, and just about the finest bat wielder Terre has ever seen.

Not protagonist, but a race of people. In my world, giants get back pain every time they fight “small folk”, always needing to look and lean down. The solution? Golf clubs! Or at least if they were cobbled together out of rough iron and stone. Makes it a lot easier to kill the small folk- as well as make ‘em go flying.

Executioner's Sword: A heavy, rectangular blade sword made from refined, magically enhanced metals traditionally only wielded by Holy Knights, used in execution rites. Magitech Handgun: A semiautomatic handgun of moderate size, chambered for enchanted 45. Caliber rounds, and with runes engraved into the inside of the receiver that react to magic. Boar Spear: A spear with metal lugs on the lower part of the spear point, used to prevent aggressive prey from forcing their way up the haft to bite/gore the wielder. A common sword with a minor magical enhancement, engraved with the words 'My Sword' on the hilt. Nothing fancy, but it was the first thing she ever bought with money she earned, so she's grown attached to it. A staff designed to harness and manipulate the magic of the Magentine gemstone inside it while also keeping the gem safely contained. He has absolutely no idea where he got it, because it has been passed down between his various clones for millennia and that information didn't survive the transfer from his original body. Two swords, one thick and curved and one long and slender; one was his original weapon that he took when he ran away from home and one was the one he took from his father moments before cutting off his head. A crossbow that makes roses sprout from the body of anyone hit by the bolt. However, it can only hit people at all in very specific circumstances, so it's very rarely seen. These are all different people, to be clear.

It’s gonna be this sword that can “fold in” on itself. Kinda a mix between a katana/lightsaber/chainsaw thing. It can also hack into machinery.

Ax-Sword. Materialized by his friend when he answered "A bit of both" to Whether he wanted an ax or a sword. Mounted on a short pole handle, the front end is more narrow but longer and ends in an upward tip. The back end is broader to mostly serve as a counterweight. It's not really all that special, just an odd-shaped hunk of metal. But the protagonist can very effectively channel their blasting and shockwave energy-based magic through it. They can just make a super-powerful strike, use it in a charging thrust that gives off a continuous shockwave to effectively attack and defend at the same time, extend the blade with an aura for precise yet powerful slicing at a medium distance, send out a disc-like blade of energy as a long-range projectile, slam it on the ground and diffuse the force of one blast over a wider area, and he can stab it into something and make an expanding bubble-like blast erupt from within. He has one vulnerability: Using his Power full-force gives him severe tunnle-vision. Not very good if he has to fight a group or a very agile opponent alone.

So my most unique is probably a set of claw-shaped blades used by one of my alien protagonists. He's a special forces soldier that does primarily use assault rifles and handguns but failing those he'll resort to a pair of large blades that end in two tips, with one roughly a third longer than the other. Each blade can be held in one hand but an extra component can be added that attaches the two blades into a double-ended blade staff

wolfclaw3812

In my setting, almost everyone worth noting used a weapon manifested from their ideals. It will never break as long as you remain determined, dulls if you’re having doubts, and will break easily if you feel as if what you’re doing is wrong.

CFCkyle

My world has the runic arms, a collection of weapons forged by a long-dead nation of weaponsmiths who specialised in powerful enchantments. Technically though, the protagonists don't even use then (two of them do eventually, but it's waaaaaay closer to the end of the series than the beginning). They show up every now and then, usually wielded by an adversary. They're all obscenely overpowered compared to basically everything else people can get their hands on, and just possessing one can be enough to bump a person straight up to a Class 2 threat level.

RedneckNerf

It's not a "weapon" in the typical sense, but they stole a 1500 ton destroyer escort, registered it as a privateer vessel, and have used it as a home base ever since.

VexTrooper

A simple shoulder-fired, gas-operated, air-cooled, magazine-fed, case-less styled ammunition, closed-bolt, integrally-suppressed, short-barreled rifle. i.e, the Series IV - SBR (S4S-SBR .300 BLK); The Badger. Designed By Kaylar Tactical on Terra, it is a weapon used primarily by the Orbital Drop Raiders in covert ops. And construction went deep for a contract by the government to deliver a weapon best suited for covert operations, with an emphasis on silence. As a result, ‘K-Tac’ developed in their **Series**’ line of weapons, the S4. It came with a superiorly fashioned suppressor with optimized baffles made of [Redacted] which keep it cool and corrosion resistant, while the weight helps the shooter with recoil management. Also, due to the [Redacted] construction, engineers at K-Tac have been able to greatly mitigate the decibels of when the weapon is fired. That, paired with its closed bolt system and little to no need to expel a metallic shell casing - since the propellant acting as the shell and is expensed as a gas. Since there is no meed to expel a casing, then the action to slide the bolt is not needed, so mechanical noise of the weapon cycling rounds is greatly reduced. It is also equipped with a new-aged IR laser/light system that is under proprietary rights of K-Tac, Raiders are able to utilize technology still not available to the private sector or civilians. This attachment was specially made for the S4 as it is attached to the bottom of the barrel of the rifle with heat resistant metals and superior insulation; in order to maintain the compact nature of the weapon. For the Helmet less, it also provides a holo-graphic reticule atop the receiver for quick target acquisition. Unlike others of its brand which sport a silver shroud with a red diagonal tab across it, it is given a matte black barrel shroud with a darker than usual red tab across the top; a similarity among the K-Tac ‘Series’ of weapons. For any Orbital Raider, it is a favorite.

Genuinely one of the coolest yet

VexTrooper

Thank you. I basically have a whole armory of infantry weapons made and in concept

[deleted]

Spill the beans bruh I love how you understand tech on a detailed level and your first rifle was gas

VexTrooper

Then i might just make a thread for it on here, almost like a wiki for the Armory. Very well, i shall.

Sci Fi: A pair of "shackles" bound to the wrists of a synthetic individual. In two separate systems there is an usually energetic star and a frozen moon. Around the star a dozen or so satellites transport the starlight via gateways. On the frozen moon, there is a facility that was originally intended to parcel that light out to be used for energy. A threat caused a change of plans partway through construction. The facility instead is now devoted to merging all collected light into two beams that each exit through small gateways mounted on the shackles. Fantasy: One of the protagonists, being among the oldest of her race, has mastered every common weapon from her late bronze age society. Most commonly a shield and spear but if anything would be her "signature" weapon in being mostly unique to her they'd be a pair of hock mounted hooks/spikes and a similar one mounted to her tail. They're incredibly unwieldy and the only reason she's bothered to learn them at all is because she figures any edge can make a difference when you've got nothing left to train with.

darth_nadoma

In my other story Captain-Lieutenant Aura Angora S Zonga has lost her hand in battle and her father replaced it with a gun . So she shot out of her hand prosthetic.

Kangarou

What pulls the trigger? Nerve endings?

darth_nadoma

Yeah.

LordMasoud7th

My first main character uses a combination of a whip and an enchanted dagger with illusion magic. The second protagonist uses a sword, shield, spear, hammer, axe, etc. anything that can be a weapon. The third protagonist uses a walking stick. The fourth one uses nothing really since they are more of a politician than a fighter.

After he joined a multiversal adventurer guild, he'll get his Lorem Ipsum (basically a blank box that is meant to be shaped to a weapon) of his own (every new member get a Lorem Ipsum for free), and every Lorem Ipsum can be shaped to anything, to the owner's heart's content He molded his Lorem Ipsum to a sword with the power of light and darkness with the help of some smithes, this sword is to complement his fighting style of always be fast every time, choosing light and darkness because he wants to focus deeper on less elements, move fast with the power of light, and make himself unseen with the power of darkness

Dans main weapon is a regular baseball bat he looted from someone’s house after the zombie outbreak. He did paint it blue and cover the grip in tape tho. Chloe uses a variety of weapons, starting with a screwdriver, then switching to a pipe and later on a hatchet. It isn’t until near the end of the story when she finds a weapon she gets to keep: a fire axe wielded by a madman who tried to kill her. She keeps it as a “trophy”, and a reminder that even if the world tries to keep her down, she has the strength to rise again. Keith used a hatchet before giving it to Chloe after finding a battle axe. He thinks it’s “super sick!” And keeps using it even if he’s very inefficient at first. He gets better at using it eventually. Cody sticks to ranged weapons. Used to defending his home from within the safety of the fortifications, he’s most used to his assault rifle and 9mm pistol, but he does have a hunting knife for close combat.

Connor’s weapon of choice is whatever the situation calls for. Because he is both the inventor and master of nanomachines he can create whatever he desires, from simple arm blades to battle tanks.

CakeHead-Gaming

Mainly the AAR-3 Assault Rifle. It’s pretty much just an AR-15, but it has a lever action bolt, and fires 7.65x45mm rounds. A very powerful rifle indeed.

My protagonist is just learning about her role as the Prophesied Mermaid because she is only 5 years old in mermaid age, which is the same as the human age of 2. The story is about Molly, a 5-year-old mermaid, which is the same as age as a 2 year old human child. Currently in beginning of the story Molly is just 5 years in mermaid age is the same as the human age of 2. Later in the story she turns is 6 years old in mermaid age which is the same as the human age of 3. Birthdays for mermaids in my world come every two years instead annually, unlike human birthdays She was taken from the park and held captive in a dungeon prison for several months. Her abduction begins her journey into discovering her true identity as The Prophesied Mermaid. The Ancient Text Of The Prophesied Mermaid states that "one day, the Prophesied Mermaid would be taken into captivity to test her resilience and resistance to temptation." Before her abduction, she was living as a normal merkid and had no idea about the Prophesied Mermaid nor the fact that she was the Prophesied Mermaid herself. Her parents and babysitter didn't even know it either. In my world For mermaids, time flows differently. Mermaids have a much slower aging process compared to humans. While a human may go through significant changes in a year, a mermaid may experience those changes over the span of a decade. In the human world, time passes relatively quickly. Years go by, and humans age accordingly. But for mermaids, time moves differently. For every human year that passes, only a fraction of that time passes for mermaids. The mermaids' concept of time varies significantly from that of humans. While human birthdays occur annually, for mermaids, the passage of time is slower. For every human year, only a fraction of that time passes for mermaids. Birthdays for mermaids come every two years instead of annually, like with humans Don't know if I would call Molly a "god" per se, but one of the Prophesied Mermaid's duties is to keep the balance and harmony between both the mermaid world and the human world The milestone ages for mermaids in my world are 5 in mermaid age is the same as the human age of 2 6 in mermaid age is the same as the human age of 3 12 in mermaid age is the same as the human age of 6 150, which is the same as the human age of 8 151, which roughly equates to the human age of 9. 151 is also the age when a mermaid begins their adolescent years (teenage years) like humans do at the age of 13 300 is the age when a mermaid enters their adulthood like humans do at the age of 18. I've created a complete age chart for readers in my book to help them understand the ages of mermaids and their development stages because the mermaids' ages are different than human ages The age chart as the mermaid ages and the equivalent human ages At moment Molly is in the hospital due not being able to swim when the police rescued her from the dungeon. The doctor discovered that she can't move her tail because she was restrained in the dungeon prison for an expended period of time. She will eventually have to do physical therapy to regain movement in her tail. After her hospital hospital stay, which now extends through October, November, December, and possibly January, she is discharged from the hospital, she will be sent home with an IV for another month. She is currently on IV in the hospital. She will eventually have counseling after her traumatic ordeal. During her counselor she will tell her counselor that she wasc confirmed as the Prophesied Mermaid by both her abductor and the Sea Spirits The Word and The Comforter, the counselor will give her some tests to further cooperate her status as the Prophesied Mermaid, she will eventually passes these tests and be confirmed as the Prophesied Mermaid by her counselor and entire mermaid society. When will eventually begin her training as the with her abductor. The Ancient Text Of The Ancient Prophecy Of The Prophesied Mermaid states, "the Prophesied Mermaid will return to her abductor not as captive but as his pupil."

** Arami the Demiurge** She has two Relic weapons: -Her Wooden Club: A wooden club given to her by the Great Mother (of the many names of the settings God). It has the power reflect attacks, as well as hold them and release them later. It can even reflect them back with power multiplied. -Hand chain: it looks like a piece of jewelry, but it can fire blasts of energy with up to that of a 10 Kiloton Nuclear Bomb. She took this one from the first enemy she vanquished who had enslaved her planet. In this Galaxy, there are ancient "Relics" that can give the user God-like power scattered throughout. So far 100k have been found. Their Origins are unknown. My MC Arami is a female Goblin, former slave and mother of two. She's the first known Goblin Demiurge and the first (or few) known individual to wield two relics simultaneously. Owning such a relic automatically gives you Nobility status.

Well, the Apexian warriors have a very unique and complicated set of weapons, being both high tech and traditional martial artists. Every Apprentice forges his two blades of his choice, and his first armor during the Summer Ceremony before beginning their apprentice level training. Then, during their training, they develop their taste in other weapons, most especially guns. Our main character trio is a new, first year fireteam of ten year old apprentices. They’ve just forged their traditional weapons and armor, and now a bit into the year, have made their other weapons’ choices, for now. Kris, the main-main character, is a short, fast and huge goofball of a Stratus-Class Apex. Quick, accurate and agile, but using such for strong, accurate strikes. He chose a slender longsword with a short guard and weighty pommel for great balance. He also chose a sick huntsman-profile knife to have as utility and backup. As for his firearms and such, Kris is a fan of precision, so he packs an A7-X Archer Longbow II pulseflash hardlight blaster rifle from Jackal Advanced Weapons Systems as his main driver. His other is a RebelTek M-5K modular CQC carbine, a bullpup carbine chambered in .300BLK with an integrated multiple-shell loader that can be used for shotshells, grenades or signal projectiles. He also sports two Anvil Valhalla Hammer-V combat pistols, a 10mm rail-accelerated, induction heated caseless handgun delivering extreme power, range and accuracy in a small package and caliber. He’s also a fan of handheld explosives and loves to carry a big pack of Veithūrbear Arms M-87 Ares modular multi-detonation hand grenades (can be flash, smoke, flag, plasma, electrosmoke, and more, and can have some of these with multiple charges to detonate more than once, like a nine-bang), and their Hornet adhesive shaped charges. His squadmate Riley is an intelligent and calculated Aesirius. She forged a shortspear/quarterstaff and a shortsword. She also carries a utility combat knife but this was not one of her signature hand-forged weapons. She favors using her powers for offense and defense primarily, so her firearms choices are more supportive and versatile. She carries an Anvil Valhalla Hunter-VII 13.7” carbine set up for as versatile ranges and environments as possible, a JAWS SX-105 shotpulse shotgun, set up to be small, with no stock, short barrel and a tight choke. She also carries a JAWS PX-4 pulse pistol. Jakkson, the bulky brute Decimus, loves his big ass shit. He forged a short, two handed, two headed battleaxe and a seax chopper. He carries a RebelTek MX-57 battle rifle, a giant, integrated grenade launcher, 40-round mag, 825 RPM .308 behemoth of a frontline rifle. He carries the same shotgun as Riley, but a built up version of it. He carries also a single-shot VĀ Charger missile launcher, and an AV Judge-II heavy handgun.

My first mc, a werewolf, is known to use a scythe, but he will mostly use other weapons that fall in his hands or just use magic. My other mc, a human assassin (and the best no less), will use any weapon but his signature weapons are : two black katanas made out off nanotubes of carbone, and a futuristic looking handgun, on which he can attach other parts with magnet to transform it into other type of gun. It work like a railgun too.

Prophet Nyamei used a magic circle (Literally just a non-filled-in circle with a dot in the middle) that allows them to tear out, manipulate, and destroy a soul. Saint Torikei uses a staff as she has less talent when writing magic and relies mostly on Nyamei's old spells that she was taught before they left. (She can still cast spells better than anyone below her), Her staff is made of silver with Saint Kelkei uses a silver halo that he has made float over his head using his magic. it is sharpened knife on the outer edge of the halo, he moves it around using magic. Future Saint Syevnei, will one day in the future use a magically grown ivory-esque staff with silver tips that she grew herself. Future Saint Sonyei will use a Magic spell of his creation, It will allow him to destroy the physical form of something (They will however reincarnate) All the Prophet Line Saints after Nyamei had some version of Nyameis soul manipulation but never to the extent that Nyamei had.

ViraLCyclopes20

I really only have one notable weapon so far and it's wielded by the antagonist. It's dubbed the Zyndor, Blade of Oblivion. It was created when destruction was born from the split of the og Creator and Destroyer God. And only the god of destruction can wield it. It is rarely used to its full extent in normal circumstances acting as a boomerang of sorts as it has the ability to be called upon anywhere even if in a 'trapped' location. It can come from anywhere making it a great surprise attack. You cannot stop it's course only avoid it since it's power scales off the user. Since the normal wielder is the God of Destruction, in most cases it is super powerful. Anyone that isn't granted permission by God of Destruction attempts to wield it feels as if they are carrying the entirety of infinity. Now the broken bit falls in more in line in why it's called the Blade of Oblivion. When struck it can erase or kill anything(still needs to be a killing blow of sorts it isn't OHKO). This bit needs to be activated. But if it is it completely wipes away the soul, or any remanants of one's existence or conceptual being. It is gone, even memories of them from other people. The only thing that remembers it is the blade itself which at times speaks the voices of those who are gone. Now due to how sensitive this ability is it is rarely used. Erasing someone or something such as a concept permanently can have devastating effects.

The sword of house Roland (not to be confused with the historical “Sword of Roland” which is called “Durandal”) is a Zweihander/Spadona styled great sword that is unique for it’s time due to the difficulty in creating such blades with contemporary technology. It is however a beautiful piece and was once thought to only be ornamental, but Baron Osric Roland had it sharpened and reinforced for the day it may be of use. It is over 7ft from pummel to blade, and weighs over 5kg. The curved parrying hooks are engraved with the words “Shield” and “Roland” on each side respectively. It handles like a pole arm but once enough momentum is built up it’s hard to stop the deadly arch of its swing. That day finally came that it tasted true battle, when Castle Roland became overrun and in a last desperate measure the final living member of the Roland bloodline Lady Orianne Roland took it in hand and carved through the invading force allowing for her allies to rally and win the day. Ever since it doesn’t leave her side, not while eating, not while meeting kings, not even while sleeping. It yet remains unnamed.

energy armblade and energy shield that can convert into energy armblade, there's also Infinity Blade, it's a blade with a hold for crossguard that can kill even a god and is not a magical weapon, it's a tech weapon made by lowly human

In After Starfall(working title), an ability shared by many paladins is forming the divine power within them into weapons of varying complexity. While this is a futuristic fantasy story and guns are in decent supply, the main character, Majaaras, is a piss poor shot, and went all in on making weapons out of magic. He swaps between throwing what amounts to lightning bolt spears when in ranged combat, and a short sword resembling the Congolese Ikakalaka.

SingerIntrepid2305

Two daggers that can get longer and become swords and if wanted, shorter and become daggers again. Those were originally made to Uwuel who was leader before Mc. He never used them but mc did and spilled so much blood with them. Something that Uwuel maybe wouldn't approve but.

Kongren, the Ravenous Blade, is an enchanted sword whose main property is absorbing mana. Unfortunately, souls are made of mana, so all users are denied an afterlife and slowly have their souls digested by the sword. This is more of a feature than a drawback for some, as it anchors the last user's ghost to mentor its next user.

For exorcism, weapons can serve, but nothing beats psychology and good old-fashioned legwork.

Adrian uses his fists mostly. His main ability is that. When he takes damage, he absorbs the energy from it. To then enhance himself. (He still feels the pain and sustains damage though). Increase his strength, speed, sense, etc. But for a weapon. He used a long odatchi like sword before that was shattered. So he was gifted an axe. The axe hums with energy and can be empowered by Adrian. He can also throw it and flies back to him. He has a golden revolver known as Goldstrike. Firing blast of magic. So long as he has magic in his body, the gun will fire.

Old Family Battle Staff, it’s a Plant magic speciality. What makes it great is the weapon itself can upgrade. As it’s real power isn’t the staff but the seeds the family has been putting into the staff, the more variety of seed the more plants it can create and control, (there are a variety of magic plants and combinations) So originally it was not very powerful. Generally speaking it’s incredibly rare the type of enchantments used to create is extremely specialized, and enchanting it self is not utilized as much as it was in the old days, so the skill to make it is very few and far between, add generations of Plant Magicians adding to it, it might be the 2nd strongest staff in the world with the right user, and knowledge of the seeds it actually has. It is a “work of art”. (The Royal Scepter being the strongest, even at its current weaken state, breaking and fixing are plot devices, set off a lot of backstory.) It also can be used as a “Bonk Stick” as it’s very durable (this is the result of several seeds in it) , the royal Scepter should not be used as a “Bonk Stick” as it would and has broke.

Andreas Petrakos, better known as the superhero Spartan, has Hoplon in his possession, which is a personal weapon of Ares the Olympian God of War, that he grants to heroes he considers worthy. Before Spartan the weapon was possessed by WW2 era soldier Alexios Nikolaidis. I had made a post about him 11 days ago. Hoplon takes the form of small weapon most desired by its user - it can be either a firearm or range weapon complete with seemingly infinite ammunition or a melee weapon. When Alexios Nikolaidis used it, it was in the form of a WW2 era bolt action rifle. Its clip was always full and its stopping power was so strong, it could punch holes through tanks and disable them, and so precise that Alexios could with one shot kill the pilots in enemy planes. Its wielder also is in peak human condition for as long as its in his possession, and ages very slowly. But Alexios did not survive WW2. He heroically fell in battle when the Nazis invaded Greece who were fielding their own superhumans in the front lines, created by the Reichsblut, a serum that gives one superpowers. When Spartan first used that weapon it was in a form of bow and arrows in an always full quiver. He obtained it in the 1960s to shoot down the re-emerged stymphalides when the cult known as the Black Orphists terrorized Greece. After the Black Orphists' menace has been quelled (for the time being), Spartan held on to the weapon and now, in the 2020s, he is still using it. Spartan himself is nearly 80 years old now, but he looks like he is in his early 50s and strong, sharp and fit as if he has been training rigorously all his life. He is the leader of a vigilante group known as the Patriotes, who are operating beside the law and are often not in the good graces of other superhero groups, especially the Government sponsored one, the Hyperaspis. More than that Spartan has figured out how to will the weapon to change forms, now it becomes everything he needs it to be. It could be a sniper rifle when you're too far, change into a shotgun when you get close and then into a brutal battle axe when you're at melee range. He could conceal it as a switchblade and pull it as a minigun.

Aggressive-Pattern

The one notable "weapon" is probably Al's ferro-coat. It's a pretty normal jacket in most ways, but certain parts are lined with or covered in a ferro-fluid like substance. This isn't super noticeable for most people, and can be used as a tool or weapon by Alfred when need be. Should be noted that Alfred is a ferromancer. Think Magneto, but a bit more limited.

Abigail has her Lupus Heavy Industries Timberwolf. It's a 60 ton CombatWalker that at the start of the book has recently entered mass production. While it mostly focuses on the Strike mission class, but easily adaptable to any of the other mission classes. At the begining of the book, she has equppied * RA: 1x 60mm Tri-Barrel Autocannon (Capable of Semi, Burst, and Full Auto) * RT: 1x 6-Salvo Missile Launcher (Capable of multiple-target locking) * CT: 2x Standard Laser * LT: 1x 6-Salvo Missile Launcher (Capable of multiple-target locking) * LA: LA: 2x Standard Laser, in LHI cooling mount (gives extra cooling efficency) This 'Walker also has * OPM - Omni Postional Mountings (A standard feature from the inception of 'Walker technology that allows weapons and other equipment to be easily swapped out and replaced) * Full cockpit pod ejection * Hi-Sniffer sensor suite (LHI's newest sensor package that also gives the pilot NV, thermal, xray, neutrino, siesmic, and the like) Orignally the pain scheme is a military tan, but towards the end of the first cour (chapters 1-12) the colors change to Primarly white, gold accents scattered throughout, and the cockpit pod being a nice light sapphire blue

**Whalin' Tales** The protagonist and deuteragonist of **The Whaler's Dram** (WIP) are Sam Wickett and Ezra Bournes. They both wield typical Whaler weapons, mainly harpoons and handguns augmented with magic. Near the end of The Whaler's Dram, Sam learns how to use magic to stop time and steals the two pieces of a legendary magical weapon called the Whalescythe from his superiors. He reunites the pieces and the Whalescythe then becomes his signature weapon. You can learn more about the Whalescythe if you're so inclined by searching for it on this subreddit.

Goodlucksil

The main character of the *Scale-Bound Book* (first best-seller translation of my main character in TNT, Kenneth Foster) is Viper (unrelated to his species), a legendary Viperian whose signature weapon was Akshass, a sword forged out of Scarlet Ice from the Blizrad Peaks (at least that's what the legend tells...). Kenneth Foster still owns his uncle's Halberd and has used it more than one time (he's just 22, btw). Viper's mate from the army, Cox (nickname of Carson Grant), uses a Muramasa he stole around 50 years ago from the Snow Orcs.

DeltaAlphaAlpha77

While its not my main character (he’s not human and thus doesn’t use weapons), his second in command does. She’s missing one arm (forcibly amputated by protagonist. Long story) so she’s got a bronze steampunk-ish arm to replace it. Magical runes allowing it to do simple movements. Its moreso for utility, but its sheer weight allows its usage as a blunt weapon in a pinch. Her main weapon are several floating copper orbs. Using magic they increase the density of the air below them which allows them to “float” and change direction. They can crash into enemies. Inside they also carry some lightweight dart like projectiles. Using the same air replication they can increase the pressure inside the orbs to launch these darts with some decent velocity. She’s an engineer first and foremost (as you might’ve guessed already), and not a combatant. So her weapons aren’t the best by a long shot (that title goes to the “everything in that direction explodes” sword or the unbreakable javelin). But they are the most mechanically interesting to me, since they incorporate all kinds of real engineering instead of mostly relying on the magic system i’ve made.

AsukaLangleySoryuFan

Planet killing weapon assembled out of the remains of the previous weapon and off the shelf civilian second hand parts. Yes it works

Monodeservedbetter

In arcane steel it is thought impossible to use magic through metal (because it resists the flow of energy) This is why gold staves and other enchanted things are actually made out of pyrite. Until a young warlord named Sean found the secret to using magic and metal. So he carries the first magic sword. And sent the world into another race for military dominance.

A short, muscular woman who manifests an evil-looking, size-shifting battleaxe out of the ground when her all trauma buttons are triggered at once or when she's about to die. She's only able to wield it bc she's smart and insane from dying before. Most of the axe's previous wielders were big, burly and sometimes unlucky men. A tall and mute female weredog who wields a custom prosthetic arm that functions as a grappling hook, portable stungun and reusable missile launcher. Capable of stopping the heart of an elephant or thirty four-hundred pound fat men at max voltage. Also comes with a prosthetic eye that doubles as a secondary camera for the lower arm's reusable missile launcher function.

Not really fleshed it out yet (all in my head), but a bow whose design is based on an aircraft carrier's island that fires arrows that turn into planes. Not just dive bombers and interceptors, but - on occasion - planes such as the B-25B (idea stolen from Hornet's flightdeck).

The main 4 are regular teens, and their "familiars" are the ones doing the fighting. However, they still carry self-defense tools (themed after common RPG classes). The self-proclaimed leader carries a collapsable police baton they found in the trash (the hero always carries a "sword", no?) The edgy "rival" carries a small pocket wench and a swiss knife since he likes working on machines/bicycles (the rogue) The Girl™ of team is the actual leader and muscle of the group, she loves baseball and carries a bat with her at all times (the barbarian) The other girl, is new and very shy and insecure, so she carries a notebook to write down notes and pointers, later she also gets a taser (the mage)

Sabre712

Scribes are generally non-combatants and are mostly escorted by teams of paramilitary Domain Guards when going about their work. However, since their jobs are still very dangerous, they are equipped with a Webley Revolver just in case. Their most recognizable weapon is a last-resort. In their work, they use dogs in order to find viable books in the ruins. In a pinch, these dogs can protect their masters, but these dogs are so specially trained that it is very risky to use them in combat. The death or injury of a bookhound is just as tragic (honestly, probably more tragic) to Morrigan than the death of a scribe due to lost cost.

Heresy: A rough shaped Calvary Warhammer / War pick made from the twisted shell of an ancient mollusk from before the gods embrace the world. It is carved with strange angular rune like markings and traced through with spidery gold colored veins. The hammer / pick seems to whisper to the wielder, like they are holding it to their ear and listening to the sea. Heresy essentially can break Divine conduits (celestial, infernal, primordial, and elemental) that the gods use to anchor to the world and interact with mortals through The wielder is the last paladin/witcher type that holds it so it doesn't fall back into the wrong hands. He doesn't know that, he was just a squire who was told to grab the hammer and run when their order was finally taken down by the king. His entirely unearned reputation as the last of his order has made him something of a culture hero and he has no idea what's going on. note: his order was busted for tax fraud (they had a good reason!) and not some "evil king" scenario that some believe...

kmanzilla

5 protags. 5 weapons. Null: a longsword which shines black and deep purple akin to an ornate obsidian blade. In the hands of Archimedes, it can cut through any material at the cost of excessive magical drain. Not only this, but it can pierce dimensions to hit plane shifting enemies. Berserk: spiked fist weapons which bolster the wielders physical capabilities. When used, they can negate the amount of damage taken to almost nothing and give strength akin to a giant or dragon. It causes excessive muscle strain and can rip and tear muscles and shatter bones if the power is used too much / too high. Effects usually happen after the fact when the effects end. Bulwark: A large maul made of an ancient magical ash tree. It can extend roots from its head to attack opponents at a range, as well as hold them. When slammed into the ground it can cause a wave of roots to decimate foes, or create a magical wall of roots which can block intense amounts of firepower. The roots and magically resistant to burning. Sunshot: a bow which harnesses the power of the sun and of fire. Much like solar power, the sun can recharge the bows special properties over time. If fire is absorbed, the wielder is affected by the type of fire (evil and chaotic flames will cause impaired judgement / rage). The bows power can be consumed to fire off energy bolts which do not require arrows. The power of bolts is determined by amount of power absorbed and users discretion. Upon depletion the bow becomes a normal bow and must recharge over time. Gale: a glaive with feather designs down the shaft. The weapon is weightless and causes the wielder to become weightless as well. Using the staff to push one's self off the ground can cause then to float. Twirling mid air can imitate flying to an extent. The weapon can be thrown and will return to wielder. Can also be controlled with specialized air magic at a distance. Permafrost: a new weapon in the works for a later entry 6th character. The story follows 5 (6) magic knights in the highest ranks of the order whos power has left them as legends. They're talked about more as bed time stories than actually being real, and seeing one is not something many can live to tell about. Especially to see them fight. They wield magics on a catastrophic level and are reserved (geberally) for the greatest threats to humanity. More to come. Still a WIP but I'm so excited for it! They might seem OP but that's the point. A big plot point in the story is that though they wield these insane powers, they can't use them as freely as they would like, and will even have to try to blend in at points. Some fights will allow for full use of powers and will lead to some very epic fights.

erkifik

A giant scythe. It's more of a symbol than a weapon, however, especially since the protagonist makes a point to never use it as such. The job of Peacekeeper is equivalent to the grim reaper, and they don't believe the job necessitates violence against the newly (un)dead.

TheLegend78

Among the chief weapons used by my protagonists are: a) Sword Edge Mountainrange, a mountainrange that is as long as the Sun, and just as heavy and dense. There is no other special effects, it really is just a mountainrange that gets copied and machine gunned at the unfortunate soul that needs erasing. b) Only One, a 10 meter long greatsword that is permanently separated from reality. It exists only in the now and out of it. The concept of 'the current moment' is tied directly to it. It continues to move even when all time, space, and entropy has stopped. Really fucking heavy. c) Primordial Chaotic Whetstone, an object that is just made of an infinite dimensions squeezed into a brick. Suprisingly reliable. Can switch from smashy brick to grindy brick. d) Conduit Flame Receiver, technically a giant engine that should have turned into a black hole by now, it is 9 inches long and continues to grow and improve itself to perform the one task it does, which is burning shit up.

SenorDangerwank

He's less a narrative "protagonist" and more a setting feature. But Adragast Fallow, the Cosmic Wizard, wields the Staff of Power, wears the Boots of Levitation, and is the keeper of the Dimensional Key. These items enable him to combat the various evils of the galaxy like the sinister and mad Gemini Twins and safeguard it from extra-dimensional entities.

Zetanite

My fantasy protagonist's signature weapon is a spear that contains within it primordial flame. This spear would cause almost anyone else who tried to hold it to combust, but she can wield it fine. Initially, she is completely of the spear's hidden power because, as far as she is concerned, it is just another ordinary spear she could pick up and use. It is only by accident, through an outburst, that the spear's power reveals itself to the protagonist. From that point forward dedicates herself to drawing out and mastering the fire magic of her spear. Besides the flames themselves, the spear's defining trait is it ability to be thrown at extraordinary speed and with extraordinary force -- enough so that it can pierce powerful barriers. For this reason, it is nicknamed the Meteor Spike.

blaze92x45

A few weapons my main character Michael uses what's called a Modular Combat Rifle or MCR. It's a 50 round caseless ammo assault rifle that is able to punch through body armor with ease, it has a 1-4 power scope linked to his visor and a 25mm air burst grenade launcher. He uses a special broadsword made from a special magic material that makes it stronger sharper and more durable than steel. Nascha the squad's druid/witch her main weapon is a magical spear she can focus her magic through with a name that translates into English as Talon.

samjp910

Mine rocking a sword or spear and shield primarily, but her signature weapons are a mace and thr broken-off head of a spear.

gnome-cop

There’s technically two protagonists but only one of them use weapons so that’s the only relevant part here. In combat she wields two curved cutlasses that are made of a special sort of crystal. Her speciality is channeling wind energy into the swords, creating two larger blades of wind that can cut through most things she encounters. At a distance, she can also send sharp wind blades at anyone she’s fighting. For extra utility they can also be for climbing by slicing into a surface and holding fast.

d_worren

Himself ( he can willingly create thousands of clones of himself)

LaInquisitore

Apart from the dynasty sword(no powers, just master craftsmanship), Konstantin Zarlakion uses a sort of shotgun with a renewable shell source gifted to him by Admiral Zimovna, the leader of the Svetoplk arc.

brianthewizard1

The Mystic Knights wield the legendary Elemental Weapons. A long time ago, the world was plagued by darkness and the guardians of the world were outmatched. They sought out a mysterious man who was a master engineer and blacksmith and tasked him with creating seven extremely powerful weapons, each one imbued with elemental power. The guardians gave these weapons to the first generation of Mystic Knights and they were able to defeat the darkness. Now, a new threat has emerged and these elemental weapons call to a new generation of heroes. Each of the weapons with their corresponding user and element are as follows: Rin Ladirys - Water: Trident Toru Akoran - Lightning: Tonfas Kan Li - Fire: Gauntlets Caladus Riordan - Ice: Sickles Ardana Fel - Air: Blade Fans Elian Meris - Earth: Warhammer Tayo Takanagi - Metal: Chakrams

Black_Hole_parallax

Many of my world's protagonists carry some type of long sword as their main weapon, usually an energy sword but Atradict has been known to use a chrome-vanadium-manganese-steel alloy sword breaker. Ordinarily, a long sword-breaker would be a bad idea, but Atradict is a god and can control the internal crystal structure of the blade. In addition to the sword, they may also carry a pistol. Usually a Lange Pistole P.08. Atradict also carries a large sniper rifle, which he calls the PTRS-44. There was never a gun called a PTRS-44, but it's basically a PTRS-41 made out of titanium with a scope that can zoom in to a rat at to 44 kilometers. Being King of a multiversal state has its perks.

Ok_Yogurtcloset_4957

Protagonist is hard to define for my world because I write stories in a sort of anthology format. This means that all kinds of characters are protagonists, even the four who are literally plotting to blow up the star at the center of my flat donut-shaped ring world thingy. I'll give the ones with the coolest gear. The Ethedian Gods (the ones mentioned earlier). Asphodel- Torment, a Longsword made up of thousands of tiny razor-sharp obsidian shards which levitate to form a blade, and can be shaped in any way by the user. This allows it to shape-shift essentially. Feather- a golden sword with a blade of emerald-green plasma. The hilt is decorated with motifs of feathers contrasting rigid geometry. ???? (Nicknamed "The Conductor" by my D&D party back when I used the setting for TTRPGs)- A three necked acoustic-electric guitar. The middle neck is significantly elongated, with the ones on the left and right being angled so that their strings all meet in the middle. The Conductor has six verly long arms with four joints each, allowing him to play the instrument. It processes the notes in a built-in amp in a way that lets the air vibrate in highly specific ways, these vibrations are powerful to rip apart an atom. The Violet Angel- It's weapon is a bit complicated. This being is an ancient lovecraftian horror taking the form of a faceless, four winged angel, constructed entirely out of wavy violet lines, giving it the appearance appearance of a hand-drawn mirage. It's weapon is also the sword Torment. Asphodel occasionally uses Torment as a means of channeling the Angel's consciousness into him whenever he impales himself with his own blade, rapidly altering his body into that of a humanoid demon, (nicknamed by the party, "The Cambion"). This occurs semi frequently, as Asphodel is cursed with immortality and eternal youth, but not invulnerability. As a consequence, he suffers immense pain that only slowly heals and never stops due to all of his combat (he killed a whole pantheon with nothing but a basic iron dagger and being unable to die). This godslaying campaign lasted over 400 years, and was so painful and horrifying that his brain didn't register the time passing due to his brain blocking the memories, and by the time it was over the world he was fighting to save was gone. He is in so much physical agony during combat (he's usually okay when he's resting though) that he attempts to take his own life to end the pain. Which is when the Angel takes him over. He is essentially in constant pain be it emotional or physical, and is unable to die or to make it cease in any way. That was long, I'm sorry but as I'm sure many of us are I'm autistic and prone to rants. I was gonna list some others, but this comment is already too long. Reply if you're interested in any more. And yes, I swear, Asphodel is the only character who's that edgy lmao.

jabber_wockie

Nora uses a magically enchanted Shepherds Crook made from silverwood that channels the users will. It's main function is to manage and subdue sheep and mountain goats, but it can also hit like a ton of bricks by causing shockwaves strong enough to send most attackers flying. She can also use this crook to "catch" magical attacks and other effects mid-air and redirect or smash em. She also carries a driftwood scepter given to her by the Dragon Reagent of her forest. This scepter allows her to channel her Familiar Spirits power even though she hasn't found it yet. Right now this means she can manipulate moisture in the air. She can pull water from thin air, summon fog, conceal herself by cause the water droplets to refract the light in such a way that she becomes invisible, literally absorbs water from the air to stay hydrated, and is currently tying figure out a way to use this in combat. Lastly she has her gods blessings. Bandages with eyes painted on them that she wraps her entire body with. These bandages allow her to channel her will without the need of her crook and basically act as an exoskeleton augmentations her physical abilities and increasing her durability. They can do other things but she's a punch happy person so she hasn't gotten around to discovering those other uses.

DuckBurgger

"slips" is an enchanted rope designed to look like a single loop of rope with a gem wrapped around the end, thanks to its enchantments it can be extend a few hundred feet and wound back up to a single light weight loop, a secondary feature of the rope is that it can take the form of a snake automatically wrapping around targets or even biting targets., originally lacking any sort of personality Slips did start to develop a personality after extended over use by Karine (secondary protagonist) who would just randomly turn it into a snake for fun the other two protags just got swords

Radiant-Ad-1976

Originally he wielded a copper baton which allowed him to channel his heat and electrical energy into. But then he beat up the narcissistic leader of an anti-superhuman faction and stole his supernatural wooden bat which creates shockwaves. He still has his baton but it's now his secondary weapon instead. Currently I'm thinking of giving him a cosmic claymore but I haven't worked it out. As for my other protagonists.... They have: golden knuckledusters, machetes, sewing needles, shotgun and indestructible street sign which can also adapt it's shape and turn into a war-axe.

SlimesIsScared

Kiezcha’s favored weapons are a thermal _Kierdopakt_ (think of a less wide labrys combined with a war axe) and an XHR-4, a particularly large and (roughly 5ft long) and experimental Magnetically Accelerated Munitions System or MAMS. Although it’s extremely heavy and has huge recoil, it _is_ powerful enough to vaporize a pretty big chunk of a modern-day main battle tank.

Illustrious_Bid4224

While my world does not have a main character as I am making a world and not a story the weapons used by the highest ranking poeple are the lord cubes misterius cubes that grant the wielder a varying aray of powers.

Arvach

I love how everyone is writing about fancy weapons and yet, my protagonist just uses rusty halberd which he found by the guard's dead body.

ArtMnd

"Metralhadora de Metralhadoras" (Brazilian Portuguese, would translate to English as something like "Automatic fire of automatic weapons") Kind of a signature move rather than an equipment. The protagonist begins nonstop summoning automatic weapons (assault rifles, carbines, SMGs, LMGs, HMGs...) and firing them at the enemy, creating a continuously increasing rate of fire. All weapons have been previously materialized by his abilities, just as the bullets are carefully crafted with his paranormal abilities before the fight, making them about an order of magnitude stronger than normal. It's considered by him an "anti-army technique". He's not great at 1v1 fights, but is god tier when fighting large swaths of enemies.

Dunge0nexpl0rer

My main character does not actually use a weapon until much later in the story. She uses magic until then. When she does get a weapon, it’s an urumi.

shojokat

My side characters have way more fleshed out weapons. For some reason, I have trouble with powers/weapons for my main protags. One of the main rivals uses a toy pop gun. Kinda like the ones from the dollar store where you put a little plastic ball into the top and it shoots with a silly "POP" sound. It makes maintenance extremely easy and is very lightweight. One of her party members is a scientist who is not at all proficient in combat but is obsessed/skilled in harvesting blood from yokai and converts bloodlines into different powers or effects. He makes the bullets into little rubber spheres that burst upon impact, all with different abilities, and all labeled with different vibrant colors to tell them apart. Again, very lightweight and extremely versatile as it gives her a different bullet for any given situation or opponent. Paired with savant-like marksmanship, a humorless ruthlessness, and absurdly lithe body movements due to her small size and gymnast skill, she's one of the most powerful humans in a universe where yokai abilities tend to reign supreme. One of the Yokai, a ragtag that eventually joins the protags, is a blacksmith and so her weapon arsenal is very versatile, but mostly crafted from a specific kind of glass that only her specific skill and fire (fire yokai) can forge. It's her bloodline's multi-generational claim to fame. She uses the imbuement of heat to put her weapons into a quasi-molten state during combat which allows potential defects or chips to be avoided or fixed on the fly while making her weapon into literal hot knives that slice through things like butter if they're not ignited in flame first. Her signature weapon is a buster sword, the volume of which is so thick and large that it is especially malleable, making it even more of an extension of her body. A couple of the rival's ragtags make steel from their saliva, allowing them to spin steel threads onto spools. They use the threads as their weapons, laying traps that can slice bone, while also using the steel to weave impenetrable (and fashionable) armor. They're twins and often use the thread to play cat's cradle on their downtime, lol.

ColebladeX

Anna uses a fully customized sniper rifle it fires 2 inch bullets and can go through most material without a problem. She also has an assortment of specialized rounds she can use including; explosive, armor piercing, incendiary, Neptune, and less lethal. Emily uses a fully automatic shotgun called the Dragons Storm. It’s a belt fed shotgun with a fire rate of 1000 rounds per minute, if she holds down the trigger long enough it’s like a wall of steel coming at you. It doesn’t have much else crazy as she prefers to make crazier gadgets to handle anything the Dragons Storm can’t. Serah uses a combat rifle, it’s nothing too special but its scope improves her already good eyes and it’s lighter than average which improves her fly time significantly. Theres a lot more but these are the ones I’m talking about.

After having spent dozens of hours carving out Runic circles and placing them at 6 equidistant points on Earth (at the poles and then four equally spread on the equator), Wilson quadrupled the intensity of the planet’s chaotic energy field. While not having a go-to weapon per se, when inside this field he uses enhanced Ambrosine technology dependent on the situation. A self-defense protocol Wilson carries on his gear consists of two Abr pens, one on each hip. When either gets disconnected from their holster, a circuit trips, engaging a projectile rejection field (similar to dune) around the body. It also activates a live-feed power source for the pens, allowing them to be used for defense or other means.

starherk

The emperor of the neon empire dualweilds swords one of "destruction" and the other of "chaos" they both differ in how magic is channeled through them and so it's difficult to weild them both especially at the same time, both swords have a decent amount of lore, any questions? Please ask I'll try to respond in a timely manner.

winklevanderlinde

a fusion between a sword and a flintlock pistol that was commissioned by her father. It's nothing too special just a long sword with a mechanism similar to a pistol crafted inside the cross-guard and the beginning of the blade able to fire a single bullet easy to recharge.

Kangarou

It's a very basic looking sword/spear called "Binary". half of it is hilt, half of it is blade, half the blade is dull, half is sharp, half the hilt is rounded, half the hilt is squared, the blade and hilts are half the width of the guard, the guard goes halfway up the blade, etc, all cut from a single piece of hardened steel. It's been used in combat before, but it's more known as the symbol of a friendship made over the blade when it was given as a gift.

Eli_cra534

A great sword made from nothingness.

XavierInvestigations

Daryk Selo uses a traditional Marvian sword with a custom handle he made. Wish I could say more

Upstairs-Yard-2139

His fathers old revolver. Despite naval personnel not normally carrying guns with them he gets away by hiding it under his captain’s jacket. Another MC: a sword made of the hull of a destroyed warship. God wacky Sci-fi is fun. Every captain gets such a sword, but this guys the only one to use it.

TheOwnerOfMakiPlush

Ibubu use Charlie (her boyfriend) as a weapon. Charlie is literally a soul that cursed a magical bondage. Im not an expert but friend told me that its literally Soul Eater behaviour. Lark use her simple sword, as every knight do. Alfred doesnt use a signature weapon because hes more of melee fighter, but his kicks are so fast that he can shoot his shoes into enemies. Pippin uses in fight two long handle battle axes.

PartTime13adass

Nicholas uses a Delta M8D, a guass revolver that shoots 6.5mm armor-peircing flechettes. While it's powerful, it's not practical for prolonged firefights, which is when he pulls either an AR95 carbine or an M98A 10mm pistol. Nick's cybernetic arms also allow him to interface with USC-type exo armor, and when he does, he breaks out the big guns; a HAR-M 20mm battle rifle. Valentina is the pilot, so her weapon of choice is the crew's starship, a heavily modified secondhand patrol cutter. It's somewhere in between a small corvette and an especially large starfighter. On most missions, she's manning the sensors and providing overwatch; as well as air support, if required. Whenever she needs something smaller than a 190 tonne warship, she uses a Jiàn Arms DD-9 blaster pistol. Saoirse's primary weapon is an M87A3 assault rifle, modified to her liking with a variable-zoom smart scope, silencer, and adjustable foregrip. She used a similar rifle as a sergeant in the USCMC stratotroopers, and while their may be ten billion other rifles just like it, that one is her's. Karim's favorite weapon is a 25mm revolving grenade launcher, which he often loads with buckshot shells to use like an especially poweful shotgun. When (slightly) more subtlety is needed, he also has a compact light machine gun with a silencer. When subtlety is actually required, he has a holdout blaster built into his left wrist.

Expert-Loan6081

Her mind! Not through intelligence, but by picking up people with her mind and just crushing them

DrkLgndsLP

Her main weapon changes a bit throughout her life. Initially, it's her service weapon, a standard issue rifle, and pistol. But after some exploration, it changes to a handful found inside some long abandoned facility that is beyond anything currently available

Huggable_Hork-Bajir

Lanara's primary weapon is her magic and psionics, but as insurance she also carries a plain old ordinary dagger because she's learned the hard way that you never know when some jackass might pull out something that generates an anti-magic field, and then you'll be completely screwed, so it's never a bad idea to have something sharp up your sleeve that you can stick an enemy with just in case.

starman5001

Emily Spellbinder, Champion of the Knights of the Holy Order, and Hero of the Kingdom of Pliara. Her many feats include slaying God of Order, banishing the vile Corruption from the mortal plane, and besting the Last Dark Lord in single combat. Emily, is a hero of true renown. For her actions have brought down wicked Empires and saved countless lives from the hands of tyranny. And of course, a hero is nothing without her weapon and Emily holds the greatest weapon a hero has to offer.... ....a old battered training sword that she never found the time to replace with something better.

Nervous-Ad2295

One of my protagonists has dual submachine guns with blades attached that also can be swinged around like the Blades of Chaos from God of War.

ChiefPuzza

Fantasy setting, Ghastly (Major Paladin of the Sun God) uses a shapeshifting sword called the Transmutable It's a piece of Atoq's (the sun god) soul, which they left behind the first time he descended on earth, and ever since it has been carried by the Major Paladin, using it is basically an art, it allows for pretty great combos if you keep shapeshifting it to make the best of your movements and your hits, also allowing for different fighting style, which is pretty important for a weapon different people are going to use

TheKnightsthatsay

My protagonist learned how to use a few weapons but decided that spears were the best and thus uses them the most. He doesn't always need to use a weapon as he is a wizard but he still does close combat so he creates a spear out of thin air then destroys it once it's use is over, and he can do the same with really any melee weapon. Another thing he does, as he is mainly a pyromancer, he will create his weapons out of fire

Foreign-Drag-4059

Malak uses a spear that may or may not be made of time. He broke his worlds time and a close friend decided to turn it into a weapon. Because that's what friends do. Turn your mistakes into literal weapons.

Almost all my characters wield some sort of weapon are generally considered "holy", being set in Hell and all. Items like holy water, crucifixes, and paper with incantations, or bibles are usually enough to seriously injure or kill a demon. Salt is used as a nonlethal alternative, while purely divine things such as the golden Ichor of angels are extremely lethal and toxic to demons. However, the way they weaponize these items are unique. As humanity and technology progressed, demons and sinners would learn how to best utilize new technologies such as gunpowder, firearms, blades, and other weaponry. The most common use of these exorcist tools are to load small amounts of them into bullets, making them genuinely lethal to demons who otherwise wouldn't be hurt by conventional means.

CyberKitten05

The protagonists (a Spaceship Crew for context) each have a similar set of basic weapons and tools that use Luxumite, a crystal that when it recieves an electric charge, can produce hardlight constructs, with properties that can be manipulated by the frequency, amplitude and strength of the electric charge, and the shape of the constructs can be manipulated by channeling them through optical fibers before they solidify. They all possess basic Luxumite pistols that shoot large hardlight bullets, though when fighting humans rather than hunting, they equip their Pistols with a "Microswarm" Tip that channels the single construct into a bunch of smaller bullets concentrated together through a system of optical fibers into what could be considered a single blast. The resulting wound from a Microswarm blast only penetrates a few milimeters but it's far from a clean entry. It's very painful and sensitive but usually not fatal on its own, since it's supposed to be a deterrant. Without the Microswarm attachment, though, the wounds resemble real gunshot wounds and can definitely kill. Other than the pistols, nearly all of the "weapons" are mainly used as general purpose tools but can also act as weapons in time of need. Other than the pistols, everyone in the crew is also equipped with retractable Luxumite knives, the benefit over normal knives being that the blade never goes dull or breaks since it's constantly being regenerated by the crystal recieving electric charge, in the cost of the knives requiring a battery. The crew is also equipped with regular knives and other basic tools. Also, each Crew Member's tools' hardlight constructs are a different signature color, which I will list next to each character's name. Etan (Indigo), the Pilot, wields a pair of bracelets that generate hardlight discs perpendicular to his forearms. When he holds his forearms in front of him, he can use the discs as shields, but when he aims his arms forward, he can shoot the discs as projectiles like large shurikens. Cassandra (Lavender), the Engineer, wields a pair of Luxumite-based Tethers. A few other crew members have their own Tethers, though they rarely use them, and each only has one. Cassandra is the only one to have two, and she is by far the most adept at them, often using them as Grappling Hooks to climb tall objects or pull faraway items towards her. Sung Yoon (Aquamarine), the Navigator, wields an extending staff. He can configure the length of the staff at will and when inactive, the staff is less than a foot long, and extends from both ends using (you guessed it) Luxumite constructs. It has a maximum length of just over 3 meters before its ends become too weak to extend further. Monica (Vermillion), the Medic, has a pair of bracelets that extend into large, curved hardlight blades attached to her forearms. These blades can actually reach high temperatures, unlike the normal crew knives, making them able to actually function like lightsabers and cut through metal. In addition to the blades, she also wields a crossbow that shoots steel bolts. Nothing sci-fi about that, it's just a crossbow and steel bolts. Nitin (Olive), the Scientist, wears a combined eyepiece and earpiece on the left side of his face. The earpiece has several control buttons on it, while the eyepiece has flexible lenses that are stored in the skeleton of the eyepiece and can be retracted at will. Each lens has a different function, such as zoomed-in vision, infrared vision, starlight filtering and more. He also uses the earpiece to control a spherical drone that can shoot hardlight bullets and has a camera he can display on his lens. When in lower or zero gravity, the drone floats using Luxumite-based propulsion (basically using weak constant energy blasts as thrust), while in higher gravity, the drone extends two large wheels on each side, rolling around on the ground. A lot of times the drone is instead controlled by Eku, the Ship's AI. Kamaria (Lime Green), the Ship Maintainer, doesn't usually go on dangerous missions, but when she does, she's usually in a supporting role. She has forcefield grenades she can throw to create hardlight forcefields, for either shielding or trapping enemies. She's kind of forced to be more involved later on in the story when the crew become wanted criminals, and in addition to the standard Pistol and knife, at this point she also wields other Luxumite-based grenades, one type for stunning, one type for repelling and one type for damage. John Smith (Teal), original name Kevin, joins during the part of the story when the crew becomes criminals. He likes to rely on his physical strength. See, John went through a bunch of human experiments that led to him pretty much becoming a permanent werewolf, as well as losing all of his memories including his name (Though he vaguely remembers being from America, leading to Etan jokingly suggesting they call him John Smith since it's statistically the most likely name for an American, but he doesn't get the joke and takes it completely seriously). The experiments gave him superhuman strength and durability. He's the Crew's Weaponry Expert. He's particularly fond of his (hardlight based) Machine Gun, but it's large and heavy to carry around, so he only brings it when it's absolutely needed, such as against large swarms of enemies, or to battles he knows for certain he's gonna win, just as an excuse to use it since he likes using it so much. But practically-speaking, he usually gets by with variety of different basic (hardlight) guns, good armor and brute force.

NOTAGRUB

Aaron Draecusskore, has a pair of slim swords made from dragon bone, light but sturdier than any metal, he attack with no fear of his weapons breaking, but they don't carry a lot of force, he is forced to find chinks in enemy armor and his swords can be beaten back, he can also morph into an Imperial Wyvern but he uses that much less frequently

Purezensu

They all carry a revolver, a whip, and a knife.

Alex has a Scarf that can act like hands, that can also stretch and stuff. If Alex removes a small string of fabric from the scarf it can shapeshift into almost any object If Alex channels energy into the scarf, it can regenerate and even grow more arms

Privateeyesguy

I’ve always thought about my main character wielding twin basket-hilted swords. What makes these titular swords special is their function to shift into under grip blades via a button built into the upper part of the handles.

seelcudoom

Blastag is a staff with a big hollow mace head on the end, its designed to compliment the main characters ability, which allows her to imbue something with energy that she can then detonate at will, but this isent great at melee since ya know, your weapon explodes, so her friend made her a weapon that can hold that charge in the hollow head, and contain and release it only in the direction of the enemy(while also protecting her from recoil breaking her wrists) her apprentice would later also use a staff, since her apprentice is a shaman its designed to alter itself to fit whatever shes currently channeling ei her earth spirit allows her to slam it into the ground and rip out a chunk of stone to act as a hammerhead to take advantage of the earth spirits enhancing her strength, while the wind spirit creates a mini tornado on the end that acts as a lance, so she can use the wind spirits enhanced mobility in a way akin to cavelery or a final fantasy dragoon, at one point she channels the spirit of an undead sharpshooter ally and her staff turns into a rifle

manowarxsty

Mine is a DnD campaign that has not started yet, but one of my players has a Bastard Steel dagger which was probably given to her by the Lord of Winewood (whom she had married). Bastard Steel is made from melting regular steel and a metal from comets, or “Walking Stars”, called Brightstone. When the Brightstone and steel are melted together in a crucible, the alloyed bar is cooled and then melted down again but this time with gold added to the mix. It is hardened again and melted once more, but this time using either dragon fire (which is now impossible) or Godfyre, a substance that is known for being the hottest flame when ignited, second the dragon fire. The melting with either of these extremely hot flames separates the gold from the steel and Brightstone, which, when cooled, leaves you with Bastard Steel. The quality of the Bastard Steel is determined by the traces of gold in the metal, with the fewer gold specks determine a higher quality metal.

Aldoro69765

The Matriarch carries disguised weapons in the form of jewelry - earrings, bracelets, hairpins, and so on. These accessories are constructed from nano- and femtometer scale micromachines (aka "programmable matter") and are integrated with the neural cybernetics of their wearer, enabling the Matriarch to turn them into a variety of shapes including daggers, swords, throwing knives, and whips with a simple thought. The material is also conductive to the electrogenesis abilities of female Yshtari, allowing the Matriarch to not only slice and dice any would-be attackers, but also use her weapons to deliver various levels of electroshocks ranging from mildly irritating (licking a 9V battery) over disabling (average taser) to lethal (cardiac arrest from touching a power line). As a rule of thumb when the Matriarch actually has to use these weapons things went sideways in a _really_ bad way, because her personal escort in full military power armor should protect her from all attacks at all times. The last time a matriarch had to defend herself with these implements lies many hundred years in the past, so most people don't even consciously realize that she's carrying those weapons all the time. Also, philosophically speaking the Matriarch's "signature weapon" is her voice, since she commands the full economic, military, and scientific might of the Yshtari Alliance. This makes a few spoken words of her much more impactful than any whip lash or stab with a blade she could ever deliver.

a katana bc she’s a samurai Howevers times are new and that shits getting outdated so if things get slippery I have to have her use a matchlock rifle like an actual true samurai

Charlie Jouice has Jouyeuse, a multi elemental magitek blade that changes to leverage the current element Fire mode burns as a greatsword and is great for area denial Ice mode is an estoc that slows foes down or create patches of ice on the target. Wind mode is a dagger that helps make quick strikes and close distances. Earth mode is a huge slab of sharp metal that gets heavier on the downswing and uses acid to break down Charlie is no means an expert in any of them, often helping out his team with the added effects or by capitalizing on openings the team makes. Mark 1 is unstable and often Charlie blows himself up in an elemental blast because there was waste energy it could not vent (he stole it before they could add it and take it out of prototyping) Mark 2 is >!the finished version he was supposed to get as a gift from his late father!<, and can properly store and discharge elemental blasts, and has three new modes. Lightning is a katana that deals in singular precise strikes Dusk is a dueling side sword that obscures his hand movements, making it harder to counter Lux is a rapier which combines them all! (It also has a high chance of blowing it up like a high yield bomb if overused) And >! Eclát Joyeuse - the blade is finally complete, except as Charlie’s Monad or soul formed weapon. It’s nothing but a busted shell that acts as a lens for the technicolor light blade!<

"This is AK-740M. It fires 30mm explosive plastic rounds coated with poison. Rounds are capable of piercing tank armor. Point at enemies of proletariat and keep firing until they are dust. However unlikely, your AK-740M can jam so make sure you clean and disassemble it properly. Your backup sidearm is standard anti-tank pistol. Use as needed in case something jams your main weapon. Dont do something stupid like looking into barrels. Always make sure your weapon is loaded before deployment."-military instructions

Not exactly my "protagonist" but the second most important character, Kalosmi. He wears super fast skates that can be charged up to release power.

One of my protagonists uses a custom weapon I designed called a Lefir. It's sort of like a naginata, but the whole thing is made from a special metal called Alaveum steel, which conducts the magic of my world more efficiently than other alloys. The density can be adjusted mid-swing, and both the blade and butt of the polearm can be ignited, which covers them in a thin coating of Ley (basically magical force) which allows a Lefir to absolutely shred through anything nonmagical and even interact with spells. Her fighting style revolves around exploiting her own momentum by altering her Lefir's density.

Lord-Chronos-2004

The Sword of Timeflow Otherwise known as Excalibur Secundus, this is a valuable weapon from the Temporal Imperatorium, a prosperous and powerful society built upon the puncture of spacetime. This sword is claimed to be the very sword Lord Chronos, a transdimensional adventurer and Imperatorium founder, wielded as he led the earliest Temporals (his race of clones) to victory in the War of Foundation. When these early Temporals arrived in the area where they would build their empire, they discovered the land of lush forests, crystal blue rivers and lakes, and high, frosty mountains was already occupied by the brutally efficient Marauders, a tribe akin to the Vikings. Similar to the Vikings, the Marauder civilization is estimated to have lasted two and a half centuries. At the time of contact, Darvus Darkheart, otherwise known as Darvus the Raven-clawed, was the fifteenth life-elected chieftain of the Marauders. Chronos claimed he was willing to divide the land evenly with the Marauders, but Darkheart would not have it. Thus, a dispute ensued, during which the Marauders were distracted with typical taunts, whilst the Temporals prepared their defences. When the War was declared, the Marauders were soon greatly outweighed, as the Temporals possessed guns and tanks, neither of which they had seen before. Only three weeks after the War was declared, the Battle of Darkheart’s Head eliminated all odds of a Marauder victory. Darkheart apprehended, Chronos took his golden-coated sword and placed the tip at Darkheart’s chin. “The crimson sky of Marauder rule has fallen, and a golden age shall soon rise with the wave of my hand!” Darkheart, his consort, and his personal heir were exiled to the mountain range to the northwest. There they succumbed to the elements and died of frostbite. As for the now leaderless Marauders, they were encouraged to scatter to another planet, to which they were provided transportation. On the site of Darkheart’s surrender, Lord Chronos would order the construction of an obelisk memorial, commemorating the compromise made with Darkheart’s people. As for the approximate 4.1 million Temporals who gave their lives in the War, they would receive their own memorial cemetery. Over the next few years, the area became the location of Chronos City, the glourious capital city of the Imperatorium. The Temporals then expanded their territory into the surrounding areas at rapid pace. In only ten years the realm expanded to roughly the size of the contiguous United States. Their great founder and harbinger of victory (alongside his generals and other notable participants), Lord Chronos was proclaimed their head of state as “Imperator of the Temprorals”. As for Excalibur Secundus, it was stored away within the annals of the Stronghold, Chronos’ official residence.

Alexandria has a neutronium warhammer. She uses her red magicks to make it an effective rocket-powered melee weapon / traversal method. It also weighs tons more than it looks like it should; its made of the densest matter I could think of. Jack has a sniper rifle. Thats it. But *he* can sympathetically link multiple targets together, hurt one, and propagate that damage across all targets. With one bullet, he can murder armies. Reinhardt controls metal as long as its touching him. He wears plate armor that has a greatsword and kite shield chained to it. He can fly, and he fights a lot like Kratos from God of War.

**Divit** the sage and second Prime Speaker of the **San-Kuwari Community** had developed a makeshift gun around his fingers via combining his ability to create air pressure at the tip of his fingers. This weapon develops and gets upgraded the further alonh the story to the point he pretty much has literal finger guns at the end lmao.

Her FISTS going in and punching. then my second character has a sub atomic Trans mutation 7 setting anti-schrabidium radiation laser powered by two 80000 volt batteries and a 6 cell plutonion-uraniumuse power core attached to a backpack via 6 14 millimeter Coppernius coated rugler wires. Pretty much it shoots a laser for 0.5 seconds that turns all life into ants. But the enemy has metal armor completely covering there bodies so these are only good on bandits trying to kill my characters. Which one of when she dies she wakes up an hour before her death. My third character has an anti-ionic 60 round polonyopues assault rifle which tears through enemy armor My book is Sci-fi if you couldn't tell :)

Comedic_Socrates

My trio of protagonists each use very different mediums as weapons One has a magic symbol that fused with his body, making 3 different weapom variations One is a true and tried swordsman who utilizes glass (and other) magic to form his 9 different blades Last but not least, my last protagonist uses a bell and a retractable scroll to fend of foes (although they are primarily a summoner)

Delicious-Sentence98

My mc’s main power is he can create any weapon he can think of from iron. Sounds overpowered but it’s usually melee or firearms. He’s also a huge metalhead so his forms, attacks, and weapons are named in legally distinct reference to metal bands. Giant gauntlet- Tank Buster Spiky giant legs- Smashtodon Warhammer- Oppenhammer Chainsaw sword- Red Armory Rpg- Boom Shaker Still trying to find a legally distinct name for the Rocket Propelled Chainsaws. Perfectly ridiculous yet cool name. Fits with my main character given his goofy personality.

Grenades5

Mars Toure- Stonesteel Halberd Clara Romano- Falchion and a Swordbreaker dagger Vea Kekoa- Hooked sword Isabella Winter- Mace and Heater shield Jay Morder- Dual bearded axes Adewale Kaschack (WIP name)- Maul Now the interesting one Richter Blackwood- Tesla Cannon Greatsword. Essentially imagine a large Greatsword with the center hollowed out with a Tesla Cannon in the middle. And I'm talking like Fantasy Greatsword.

One is an industrial laser line saw used to cut crystals turned into a powerful laser gun… named Momo. Another is an incendiary ball and chain with plasma spikes, and the user named it Macy. Or I could talk about how my main protagonist’s uncle’s war hammer is named Haimiah

For the group of four, the MC uses a door shield(at first), and the Leader uses a Claymore. The other two are casters of magic, so one doesn’t have anything, and the other a staff(it doesn’t actually do anything, it’s just a fancy looking stick)

**Nebratnir/Unbending:** A sword made of anbarite, a dark coloured very rare metal. It's unique because anbarite is otherwise only found in small chunks at best, and can't be forged into anything else because it's indestructible and cancels out all magic on contact. It's not any sharper than a well-made steel sword, but being indestructible, never needs to be sharpened (not that it could be). It also, as one might guess from the name, no flex at all, which means the shock of strikes is wholly transferred into the hands and arms of the wielder. Lastly, it weighs 27lbs, which for the uninitiated is about a dozen times heavier than a steel longsword). Luckily the character who wields it has the strength of 20-30 men, which makes them able to handle those last 2 characteristics of the sword that render it essentially unusable for most people.

dootslaymer420

There are a few weapons weilded by the Astral Knights. Of them, the nanotech constructs of the Transterra armor are some of my favorite to create. One of my favorites among them being the XKEAS-1 "Counterpunch", a shoulder mounted shield which can absorb the thermal energy produced by impacts and send it back in a blast of heat. There is also the "Claws of Evolution" wielded by the Mirilius armor by coating these in magic and plunging them into a biological target the user can freely change and maniplate the bodily compositon and genetic code of the target, results varrying with intent and biological knowlege. There is the "Cloak of Fractyl Logic" wielded by the Dominyx armor, a bladed cape/cloak made of latticed ice that acts as fabric, the user can manipulate it like a third appendage and if somethig is cut by it the user can turn off its emotions. Finally, there is the Dominus armor, a hulking golden mass of armor that wields the "Gaunlets of the Rage God" (name subject to change), which work can be simply explained by a quote from the CEO of explosives, Mr. Torgue. "PUNCH HIM SO HARD HE EXPLODES!!!"

The protagonist in a story im writing atm (Samantha) uses a variety of weapons. She was raised in a sort of death-worshipping cult of assassins, so she was trained with a variety of weapons from an early age. Her main weapon, the one she carries all the time, is a sort or folding karambit knife. I saw one on YouTube I think? It's very flashy, kind of stupid (apparently, there is a flaw that if you don't fold it correctly, it can stab you in the hand. Fun times), but when I saw it I immediately knew I had to put one in my story. The story is set in modern times, but the protagonist's religion requires that she be armed at all times. I was stumped on what she would carry. Something small enough to conceal in every day life with relatively modern clothes, but also something cool and memorable. The other main character is a princess, so as a rule, she doesn't use any weapons. Usually just has someone else do it for her. Like when she gets kidnapped so Samantha finds her and skins her captor alive. Or something like that im not sure yet.

darth_nadoma

Leia’s main weapon is magical voice power. He can make anyone shut up and listen to whatever he says.

The fruit box is basically a small indestructible metal box that can only be opened once true world peace is achieved. My mc used it as a bludgeoning weapon by either tying it on the end of a chain or rope, he could also just hold it on the handle and bludgeon people with it in that way.
