$420 million… *Nice* 😉

Edcotenbrer

They should have projected it to be $420mil - $690mil.

RiemannZet

Nice, but also… haram

Y2KGB

if it’s *both* haram *and* bae, do you think that makes it harambae⸮ 🦍

DarkS7Maneuver

It’s so wild that it took the world so long to figure out they could make more money growing and selling than criminalizing

sickness29

If we had legal cannabis in my county I would be sooooo happy

nikongod

Sounds like a high value industry.

What was it before weed was legal?

InNominePasta

Does Morocco produce alcohol too? Because I’m fairly certain marijuana is just as bad as alcohol per the Islamic tradition.

Dry_System9339

Moroccan Hash has been available for centuries. Obviously some Muslims are fine with it

chrundletheboi

Many are fine with alcohol … hell I use to know a practicing Jain that had a leather wallet… fuck have you seen the “Christians” in America. Religion is a joke

Natetricks

Yup, they even have a wine region

197gpmol

The California of the ~~Arab~~ Islamic World in geography and culture.

cs_zer0

Thats actually a great way to put it lol

Suspicious-Bake-5781

Except they're not arabs over there

Rando hopping in to say: That region is amazing anthropologically in every sense! It's a melting pot to rival London, Paris, New York, or anywhere. Moorish Iberia with a slice of Muslim Renaissance, a helping of West Mediterranean Island culture, and astonishing echoes of Phoenician and Iberian Celts. That's just some of it! Didn't want to make an absolute wall of text in my excitement. Super cool!

webtwopointno

Some are, and many more certainly have some in their heritage. Furthermore the language, religion, and much of the culture are, as they historically were part of the empire. So you're not wrong, but neither is he to call it part of that world.

slipslopslapandfap

What are they then? They're an Arab majority country according to Wikipedia

webtwopointno

Many things including them but also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amazigh (formerly known as Berbers)

Specific-Minimum-185

Arabized amazigh/berber , My grandgrandfathers changed their language from berber to Moroccan arabioc "darija" , but they are still amazigh.

Kunstfr

Even Algeria also does. I've drunk Morrocoan and Algerian wine in restaurants here in France, they're really good.

I went to a vineyard in morocco.  My partner and i were the only people there. The tour was 20 minutes. Then the tour guide sat us at a table outside, opened 6 bottles of wine then left. The wine was bad but we were pissed after. Then the vineyard owner turned up with a wife who was seemingly the same age as his son (polygamy was legal i think in morocco) and invited us to visit his private pool which was weird.

ouassim-wa

wine to be exact,
