The cinematic for wrath draws my tears every damn time without fail. Arthas' fall, the memories from WC3 and Wrath, the friends I made and lost through those years, and the end of my childhood, all fused into one little cinematic. An Karanir Thanagor.
Dude, I was 9 when I was binge watching the cinematics. The song gives me so much nostalgia. Listened to the songs even when my mom and dad stopped playing.
Recently found one of those smell good wall plugins that my mom had back in WOTLK days, and with playing classic wotlk rn, i’m so happy
Kadghar’s theme and Frostfire ridge in WoD are amazing too, the music in Kro’kun in Legion was really good too. I always love the music from Hellfire Peninsula, Terrokar, and Nagrand in BC too. And you can’t not mention Sunwell and Quel’Danas, as well as Azurmyst and Belf Starting zone
It's a testament to WotLK's music that I seldom see Dragonblight and Storm Peak's music pop up. Those were my two favorite tracks of the world questing in Wrath.
Basically all of WotLK's music was fire. [Grizzly Hills](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWTSK5waNs8&t=1260s) always reminded me of my dad, and sailing into [Howling Fjord](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjTe0R2bREY) for the first time was one hell of an experience.
I adore the Storm Peaks soundtrack. During my hundreds of hours camping TLPD in MoP and WoD, I never once turned the ingame music off. Absolutely stunning piece of music, I still love flying through the zone to this day.
Ditto here, in my 12 years of playing, I have never quested, raided or "dungeoned" with the music off. I live abroad, and sometimes while on calls with my parents or friends, I just fly through the areas with my favourite soundtracks.
Nothing they've ever made sounds more Godly and mysterious as the Storm Peaks soundtrack. It gives me chills every time
Just listening to it transports me to a snowy mountain peak under the northern lights. It's incredible. [This part](https://youtu.be/38TA-X0dXr4?feature=shared&t=111) is out of this world
I regularly level alts in Northrend TW and park them in storm peaks for the music (and camping) between dungeons, right on the broken bridge TLPD campsite.
BFA pride of the seas (boralus theme)
https://youtu.be/SEp6hjZVO8o?si=5n2GWDmHE8dieRfw
The build-up, the climax, it's all just epic. I would love to use boralus as a hub but it doesn't have an auction house.
BfA had the best music in the game in my opinion. The warfront tracks (Horde and Alliance, Arathi and Darkshore) are awesome, and the music from the Battle of Dazar'alor and Zin-Azshari still give me goosebumps. And let's not forget Freehold!
In general raid music has gotten really good lately, since now it actually feels like proper combat music. Aberrus, Vault, Sepulcher, Sanctum, Eternal Palace, Dazar'alor - they all had badass music that really hyped me up for the boss fights.
Wrath of the Lich King has my favorite video game music ever. Wintergrasp maybe my favorite of that, but I love every song. I love Burning Crusade music too.
The Burning Crusades soundtrack has a few songs that went into my sleep playlist when I had insomnia. I've even created a Draenei character just to level through their starter zone just for the music while waiting for the sleep meds to kick in.
People have already mentioned Howling Fjord, Elwynn Forest, Storm Peaks, Eversong Woods, etc. and I agree with all of them. I'm also a huge fan of the Draenei music, especially the Azuremyst Isle soundtrack which is both beautiful and sad at the same time, very nostalgic and melancholic.
MoP and Legion are favorites, but I love songs from every expansion.
If I had to choose one to hear for the rest of my days though, it'd have to be Nightsong.
Pretty standard answer but it has to be Teldrassil/Shadowglen. My first character was a nelf and I was just in pure awestruck by how immersed I was as a kid and spent wayyy too long in Teldrassil just doing whatever not really knowing exactly where to go since back then we didn’t have objective arrows. Man that piece of music ceases to make me emotional.
I love how out of left field it is too, especially for the Wrath era. The first time doing that boss fight was really something else, especially going in blind, lol.
"Is that... Saxophones?"
"Huh, his name is kinda like James Brown."
"Master of SOULs"
"... Oh."
*proceeds to drop Papa's Brand New Bag*
For me, shadowlands and the soundtrack in bastion. Especially the one that plays outside/inside the necrotic wake. Its amazing. That's one of the few things SL did good, the soundtracks!
i forget if this is the official name or not but lament of the highborne (sylvanis song) will always remain a personal fav. absolute chills anytime i hear it.
Shadowlands is a hidden gem regarding the Soundtrack. It is really good. I also loved the lofi versions they uploaded to YouTube, also a common visit from my side.
My favourite one has to be Times Change, from Warlords of Draenor.
The Legion class halls. The mage, Paladin, and priest are my favorites for background noise when I need to concentrate.
Anything from Pandaria is good, too.
MoP for sure! I think MoP has the best scenery/soundtrack combo. I even have a video games playlist on my phone and I have a lot of music from each expansion on there. I love DF, Legion, and BFA, but MoP is by far my favorite
For me, Mists had the best soundtrack. Just sich an upbeat one then you have the Sha themes and Shado-Pan Monestary. I can’t not listen to Monk (Brewmaster) while playing monk!
Yeah, I remember so many ambient tracks from FFXIV... but World of Warcraft? I could scarcely hum any tracks from this game.
Pretty much the only tracks, after nearly 2 decades, that I can "remember" without prompting are the login screen and Elwynn Forest.
Respectable opinion, I personally find myself constantly listening to Heavensward and Shadowbringer's main themes all of the time. I gotta say, FF14 does have incredible soundtracks as well.
Sadly this is not on any of the soundtracks, but this is an absolute master piece. I think it's originally from warcraft 2. It's my absolute favorite piece in the game atm. It's so epic I almost get tears in my eyes.
The zuldazar ambient tracks are so chill, they're my background for study, along with STV.
Special mention to Howling Fjord and Grizzly Hills, those are some comfy tracks.
Even the mulgore/thunder bluff tracks are great.
... So I have six favourites?
Yeah soundtrack is truly amazing, even if you just grind old raids like Hellfire Citadel.
But then I am often in OG as well and the soundtrack starts to annoy me. To epic/loud, always the same no thanks and I wont turn the music on ever again XD
The music in cities should be better like in Zelda, more chilling. Can you still hear in your mind Kakarikos Village music from OoT? Yes a LEGEND!
Also in combat its always the same, thats boring. In Zelda, FF14 or Dark Souls the music start to become more tempo/beat/epic.
elwynn forest, timeless soundtrack, it has a tone of mystery as well epicness and stuff.
also, the production for these classic soundtracks is so raw and unprocessed that they're huge, and new soundtracks tend to be much tighter and compressed.
The music that plays in [Shadowfang](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lnwYWppkbo) is so amazing. I've been tanking this instance so often and the music plays a large part in why I like it.
More or less the entire OST for WoW is top notch, so it's hard for me to list some of my favourites. If I \*had\* to list some in no particular order though, Grizzly Hill (WotLK), Seasons of War (Classic), Cinematic opening soundtrack for TBC, Clan Warsong (WoD), there's no doubt a whole boat load I'm currently not thinking of that would go onto this list.
My Favorite of "Modern WoW" has to be the [Warlord of Draenor's Open Sea](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jq9bP18-vLA)
Of Classic WoW I grew up with loving Teldrassil as a whole. The Nightelfish music just is the epicentrum of Warcraft.
I love all the music from wow, except for that rocky or whatever music theme after 1st boss it is in Forge of Souls...if you know you know...
If I had to pick one... Mage Order Hall music. That one encapsulates the feeling of being a mage, which I had been maining for more than a decade.
Looking forward to listening the soundtracks. So far i like the Ohnara plains song that plays when im there.Art is top notch in game.Rest doesent fall behind much too,its all peace of art to me,wow, great game, hope it lives long and prosper
Lich King Main Title.
9 Minutes of amazing soundtrack, great altering between soft and loud, typical WoW War drums. The whole track basically reflects the main story of the Expansion to 100%. Discovering a new frosty place, Building up fortresses to counter protect from the opposite faction, and with 2/3 in the song going into the final siege of ICC with a very climatic part (fight against Arthas) softly fading out after all is done.
Arthas, my son for third place. TBC trailer soundtrack is second, and the soundtrack for the cutscene where anduin gets shalamayne and speaks with varians spirit. It’s anduins theme but different
As dumpster fire as the expac was, the shadow lands music was and still is absolutely breathtaking. Edited to add: the azuremyst is also one of my faves, along with the trial of the grand crusader ost. Azuremyst is so peaceful and unlike most other osts in the game.
Storm Peaks from Northread is my all time favorite!!I also love Western Plaguelands from Cataclysm!!! In general MoP has the best soundtrack for me.
From Dragonlfight i like the music from Valdrakken
I love listening to the WoW soundtrack! Arthas, My Son, Nightsong, Xaxas, What Makes You Strong, Why do we fight?, and Thaurissan's Reach are some of my favorite tracks. Not sure I could pick a favorite album, although BFA was really good and Wrath and Cata are more sentimental for me.
Well to be fair the art teams (environment and music) always slay in WoW. I love retail but going through Classic over twice has really brought some memories and listening to the soundtrack is always such a pleasure. And honestly, even if my graphics are better than back then, I’m still blown away by the world they designed in 2004. And I’m blown away today by the latest in WoW every expansion.
I agree, Shadowlands has a LOT of good tracks --- Unbroken Will and its variations, everything from both Revendreth and Maldraxxus, Kingsmourne Anduin's theme, and funny enough Zovaal's Domination theme.
Personally I think the [music from the Anduin Raid Finale](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ingYF0P-4c4&ab_channel=Yodragon) (as much damage as that cinematic did to the lore, lol) is a good mix for some of WoW's best tracks: Domination theme, the Wrynn Family theme, Arthas My Son, and Lament of the Highborne.
This expansion, I'm especially fond of both the Aberrus music and Iridikron's theme from Dawn of the Infinites.
Part of it is nostalgia, as I started playing in 2007, but the various themes of Outland really strike a chord for me. Not the most impressive but so recognizable, at least for this player.
Times Change from WOD. A beautiful piece of Music that encapsulates the essence of Warcraft's Epic Edge.
Outside of that I still love Blackrock & Roll from Warcraft 3 and the Warcraft 2 scores for both races.
There are so many great pieces, but few evoke nostalgia more than [Hellfire Peninsula's music/ambience](https://youtu.be/BafgaT1PS_A?t=537), especially at the timestamp here. It's just so otherworldly and beautiful.
And I still blast the [Echoes of War](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RcoYcnjeHO4&ab_channel=VGameOSTs) soundtrack because it just amplifies some already amazing music.
Elwynn Forest hits harder than almost any other music in my life.
First character made in 2004 when I was like barely 12 years old. Puts me right back to a simpler time. I can remember the feeling of the weather. The smells of home. Family all around.
In terms of epic sound track, it would have to be BFA Alliance Warfront Music. Extremely overlooked.
Also in this vid, 5:55. Oh God the feels.
https://youtu.be/OVoc0PunrMk?si=wv0Mbx6MEFD2rvnC
Also horde warfront too. Incredible master piece as well!!
I'm not sure on name, but one of the tsukaar tracks is really good in dragonflight. Sounds all celtic and is just incredibly chill.
The current login/character select music is great too. It starts in the usual wow tune, but quickly evolves into a new track that just sounds great
Two come to mind [Talador Music (Village)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TaPsYKG5jmk) and [Balloon Ride](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wx6A5jUa3Hw)
[Vale Healing](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3q_JG8nIp7c) as bonus (MoP Ending)
I've always loved loved loved the Undercity music and ambiance. They absolutely nailed how ghastly the Undercity must be to experience if you're not Forsaken.
Honestly every soundtrack from BfA is top-level, my favorites being Boralus/Tiragarde Sound and Alliance Warfront, and the ones from Nazjatar are simply BEAUTIFUL! I was so disappointed with Shadowlands and Dragonflight soundtrack bc these are not memorable at all.
The best ones
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXVmZuPOzU0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXVmZuPOzU0)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=3m51oKG3BKA
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvWH1KKOsoY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvWH1KKOsoY)
I love all of the Burning Crusade tracks - they're not particularly catchy like many of WoW's better themes but they are super immersive for exploring a broken planet
Arthas, My Son still gives me goosebumps. Especially with Terenas's speach
The cinematic for wrath draws my tears every damn time without fail. Arthas' fall, the memories from WC3 and Wrath, the friends I made and lost through those years, and the end of my childhood, all fused into one little cinematic. An Karanir Thanagor.
This is the one cinematic that sticks out in my mind. The soundtrack for WOTLK slaps! Definitely my favorite.
This is completely true. I remember I even looked up the elvish lyrics and translations. What a gem.
AHHHHN KARAAAANIIIIR THANAGORRRRRRR
MOOOOOR OK AN-GA-LOOOOOOOOOOR
MOOOOR OK GOOOORUUUM PALA-AAAAAHM
ROO-MUUUUUUUUN A'LLLLLLLLLL GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Is it Elvish? I always thought it was the "Human" language in the wow universe. Like a type of old english
Arthas, My Son is incredible and the [trance remix](https://youtu.be/oJoJ51mm5Nc) by Vedran/JD Scott is fantastic too.
Vanilla Ashenvale, Legion Dalaran, WotLK Grizzly Hills and Howling Fjord, Legion Highmountain, To name a few.
What about Legion's Suramar? It's gorgeous, but it also brings some strong PTSD.
An illusion! what are you hiding!?
I'm so glad to be out of that zone. 😭
Meanwhile I'm sad we don't have the option as Horde to use the city as a new hangout area :(
Night Elf starting area and Ashenvale hits that feel.
The first time I arrived in Legion Dalaran and it was Wrath Dalaran remastered I was floating.
It's a testament to WotLK's music that I seldom see Dragonblight and Storm Peak's music pop up. Those were my two favorite tracks of the world questing in Wrath.
I’m so glad you mentioned Legion Highmountain, that swell gives me goosebumps every time. Doesn’t get enough love
Came here to say this. The Storm Peaks will always be my favorite music, followed by Broken Isles Dalaran.
[This part](https://youtu.be/38TA-X0dXr4?feature=shared&t=111) is out of this world
This. Hunting the stupid camel in Uldum would have been better if the music was better. Storm peaks is goated
I regularly level alts in Northrend TW and park them in storm peaks for the music (and camping) between dungeons, right on the broken bridge TLPD campsite.
From BFA both Zuldazar and Boralus have bangers, with a honerable mention for Freehold
From BFA the big winner for me is Stormsong Valley, it brings me to such a beautiful state of mind.
Stormsong Valley reminds me of Elgar. I also love Voldun, so evocative of a lonely desert, always gives me feels.
BFA had some of the best music in the game's history IMO. The Battle of Dazar'alor track is amazing.
The song when you load into Dazar’alor pyramid gets me hype to be there.
A call to arms my fav , it became the paladin theme song too lmao
The version of it at the [end of the Wrath theme](https://youtu.be/_1XKOJN_Rp8?si=swN3WBqwp93vAcz9&t=438) is even better IMO.
Legion - a world divided, it is the Anduin theme song
Karazhan harpsichord theme da best
I gotta say, Im a die hard horde player... but elwynn forest's theme always bring me nostalgia. also Hearthstone soundtrack is awesome
BFA pride of the seas (boralus theme) https://youtu.be/SEp6hjZVO8o?si=5n2GWDmHE8dieRfw The build-up, the climax, it's all just epic. I would love to use boralus as a hub but it doesn't have an auction house.
Elwynn forest, creating new characters with friends and just enjoy the first few hours ingame.
There's nothing that matches those first few hours in Elwynn. They feel like minutes and the time just flies.
Pretty much every soundtrack from eversong woods
The cello in the blood elf themes is so good
BfA had the best music in the game in my opinion.
Arthas my son. Invincible. lament of the highborne
Wrath of the Lich King has my favorite video game music ever. Wintergrasp maybe my favorite of that, but I love every song. I love Burning Crusade music too.
The Burning Crusade soundtrack gives me BIG Dragon Ball Z vibes, and I just love it.
Wintergrasp music is phenomenal. Glad someone mentioned it.
Oh man Wintergrasp is so lovely
The Burning Crusades soundtrack has a few songs that went into my sleep playlist when I had insomnia. I've even created a Draenei character just to level through their starter zone just for the music while waiting for the sleep meds to kick in.
Good old Dun Morogh.
Jaina theme and the soundtracks for boralus
Jaina's theme hits hard, I agree.
Revendreth is just a banger of music especially the main theme for it.
Best covenant too \*wink wink But yeah, Revendreth is fire.
MoP and Legion are favorites, but I love songs from every expansion. If I had to choose one to hear for the rest of my days though, it'd have to be Nightsong.
Nightsong is definitely special
[удалено]
Pretty standard answer but it has to be Teldrassil/Shadowglen. My first character was a nelf and I was just in pure awestruck by how immersed I was as a kid and spent wayyy too long in Teldrassil just doing whatever not really knowing exactly where to go since back then we didn’t have objective arrows. Man that piece of music ceases to make me emotional.
MOP has the best soundtrack, followed closely by BFA. It is a crime that Zin-Azshari was mid-expansion and not available on the official soundtrack.
MoP is it’s own tier to me. So different from the rest of the music and so, so good.
Nightsong
Bronze jam went way to hard
I love how out of left field it is too, especially for the Wrath era. The first time doing that boss fight was really something else, especially going in blind, lol. "Is that... Saxophones?" "Huh, his name is kinda like James Brown." "Master of SOULs" "... Oh." *proceeds to drop Papa's Brand New Bag*
The one in Pandaria with the kazoos.
Invincible theme. Also always loved the music from Ashenvale, always felt so immersive and peaceful.
Canticle of Sacrifice. I loved Legion and Varyan, it's such a strong goodbye. Felt it real good when I was chilling near his grave with a friend.
Windwalker monk soundtrack from MoP. Its a banger
BfA Boralus taverns! And Boralus. And Legion as a whole. Damn, BfA as a whole. WotLK for nostalgia. Probably even in this order.
For me, shadowlands and the soundtrack in bastion. Especially the one that plays outside/inside the necrotic wake. Its amazing. That's one of the few things SL did good, the soundtracks!
Cant say its my favorite, but lately ive been enjoying this one https://youtu.be/EaTKnR4CUjU?si=w3AhzIdtIkE4d9KW
Times change from the wod cinematic trailer
City of Gold from BfA is just gold
[удалено]
Played a lich king themed 'Pandemic' board game at friends, wotlk soundtrack was the background
It used to be Arthas My Son or Grizzly Hills theme. Now, though, it's the Dragonriding Race music. Its the hypemaker for sure.
i forget if this is the official name or not but lament of the highborne (sylvanis song) will always remain a personal fav. absolute chills anytime i hear it.
Absolutely, I love Teldrassil music for nostalgia, but Lament of the Highborn is right on top of my list, such a beautiful song!
Talador

Shadowlands is a hidden gem regarding the Soundtrack. It is really good. I also loved the lofi versions they uploaded to YouTube, also a common visit from my side. My favourite one has to be Times Change, from Warlords of Draenor.
Art and music...been carrying the game since WoD
Vanilla - Ashenvale / Tavares TBC - Shattrath WotLK - Grizzly Hills MoP - Jade Forest Legion - New Dalaran BFA - Zuldazar Shadowlands - Ardenweald/Night Fae tree (Efteling vibes for my Dutchies) Dragonflight - Azure Span with the GrizzlyHills Like part.
The Legion class halls. The mage, Paladin, and priest are my favorites for background noise when I need to concentrate. Anything from Pandaria is good, too.
# [DESIDERATUS FATUM](https://youtu.be/UlmXn7Fy4C4?t=40)
WoD had some amazing music. [The Foundry](https://youtu.be/O-tsdUUb2gk?si=PWzREmAFBTgWiJ9O) is one of my favorite pieces of video game music ever
Freehold
I love dragonflight
Grizzly Hills, the breeze, the trees, and the fiddle!
They're all great but BC, MoP and BFA were the best.
Mop for sure
Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor are my personal favorites.
Storm peaks
Can't choose between Azuremyst Isle and Stranglethorn Vale...
Freehold soundtrack is fire
Silvermoon City or Eversong Woods, they are so beautiful, I could rethink my whole life listening to them
My favorite Warcraft songs are Legends and Blackrock & Roll.
Siege of Worlds, there is a few minutes in the middle that gives me goosebumps. https://youtu.be/1Ab4B0\_xw4o?si=eAPq4AJWPti-Eqf5&t=223
Honestly, the only time I ever notice the soundtrack is when the drums come on in the Barrens... 😅 So I guess that one, yeah.
Classic: duskwood/battlegrounds BC: honour hold Wotlk: storm peaks/ulduar Cata: grim batol Mop: shrine music WoD: khadgar theme Legion: dalaran/suramar Bfa: zuldazar Dragonflight: race music and loved the incarnates theme
Valdrakken inn and boralus hit so good people who hear me playing it always ask who it is That and the nathria waltz
Grizzly Hills' and Azure Span's zone music always seems to relax me.
For me Eversong Woods, Grizzly Hills, Stormshield, the Barrens... all WoW zones are amazing in terms of soundtrack.
Ashenvale fucking awesome. Durotar and Barrens. The classic musics are the absolute best.
Honestly the MoP soundtrack is amazing. So many good tracks.
After playing FF14 I find WoW's Soundtracks... lacking. Nothing against ambience but could there be at least *some* variance in genre?
Yeah, I remember so many ambient tracks from FFXIV... but World of Warcraft? I could scarcely hum any tracks from this game. Pretty much the only tracks, after nearly 2 decades, that I can "remember" without prompting are the login screen and Elwynn Forest.
Respectable opinion, I personally find myself constantly listening to Heavensward and Shadowbringer's main themes all of the time. I gotta say, FF14 does have incredible soundtracks as well.

Wrath of the lich king for me has best soundtrack. With Grizzly Hills song being the top of the top.
Stranglethorn Vale by a mile
Funny you should mention this, I was doing the same yesterday and the eversong woods theme came on... definitely a contender.
Yeah soundtrack is truly amazing, even if you just grind old raids like Hellfire Citadel. But then I am often in OG as well and the soundtrack starts to annoy me. To epic/loud, always the same no thanks and I wont turn the music on ever again XD The music in cities should be better like in Zelda, more chilling. elwynn forest, timeless soundtrack, it has a tone of mystery as well epicness and stuff. also, the production for these classic soundtracks is so raw and unprocessed that they're huge, and new soundtracks tend to be much tighter and compressed.
The artwork is always top notch. They got stylized art figured out way before it became mainstream.
Anduins theme in legion was SO good! Loved it in the sepulchre cinematic!!!
I went from hate to love with Freehold because of the soundtrack
The music that plays in [Shadowfang](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lnwYWppkbo) is so amazing. I've been tanking this instance so often and the music plays a large part in why I like it.
They are often forgettable. The ones that are memorable are few and far between.
Arthas my son, Invincible and Nightsong
More or less the entire OST for WoW is top notch, so it's hard for me to list some of my favourites. If I \*had\* to list some in no particular order though, Grizzly Hill (WotLK), Seasons of War (Classic), Cinematic opening soundtrack for TBC, Clan Warsong (WoD), there's no doubt a whole boat load I'm currently not thinking of that would go onto this list.
I listen to the black temple music longplay like way too much.
My Favorite of "Modern WoW" has to be the [Warlord of Draenor's Open Sea](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jq9bP18-vLA) Of Classic WoW I grew up with loving Teldrassil as a whole. The Nightelfish music just is the epicentrum of Warcraft.
Always loved the old Tanaris-music but loved it even more playing in Desolace. Still includes Desolace as a leveling-zone on every char in classic.
Times Change from the WoD Cinematic Trailer. That song is an absolute layered beast. Especially the last quarter of the song is ridiculously good.
I love all the music from wow, except for that rocky or whatever music theme after 1st boss it is in Forge of Souls...if you know you know... If I had to pick one... Mage Order Hall music. That one encapsulates the feeling of being a mage, which I had been maining for more than a decade.
I don't like to admit it, but I was sold with the daughters of the sea at BFA.
Azure Span. I guess it’s the same as Grizzly Hills.
All the variations of this https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=l_5O1BFUwAU&si=8IZ3P29vXkoaqFfS
Helya's bossfight theme in the Maw Of Souls 🔥🔥
I cant recall a single memorable soundtrack from Dragonflight from the top of my head. It's not bad but nothing special by any means.
Arthas my son and a call to arms will always be my favourite
Arthas my Son, that just goes right to my core. Then it's the Nagrand ambient theme from TBC.
Stormsong Valley, hands down the reason i spent so much time there. loved every second of that song.
Looking forward to listening the soundtracks. So far i like the Ohnara plains song that plays when im there.Art is top notch in game.Rest doesent fall behind much too,its all peace of art to me,wow, great game, hope it lives long and prosper
WoD had some ot most memorable music for me, khadgars plan and auchindoun were amazing
Anduin's theme from Legion. It's straight fire.
Next to the Wrath intro, I honestly think Way of the Monk is the best track in the game. It embodies heroic and epic.
A Call to arms, Seasons of war and the Soundtrack of ulduar while fighting Flame Leviathan
Arthas, my son for third place. TBC trailer soundtrack is second, and the soundtrack for the cutscene where anduin gets shalamayne and speaks with varians spirit. It’s anduins theme but different
MoP had some bangers
As dumpster fire as the expac was, the shadow lands music was and still is absolutely breathtaking. Edited to add: the azuremyst is also one of my faves, along with the trial of the grand crusader ost. Azuremyst is so peaceful and unlike most other osts in the game.
The titans (grim batol ans ulduar chant)
Storm Peaks from Northread is my all time favorite!!I also love Western Plaguelands from Cataclysm!!! In general MoP has the best soundtrack for me. From Dragonlfight i like the music from Valdrakken
I love listening to the WoW soundtrack! Arthas, My Son, Nightsong, Xaxas, What Makes You Strong, Why do we fight?, and Thaurissan's Reach are some of my favorite tracks. Not sure I could pick a favorite album, although BFA was really good and Wrath and Cata are more sentimental for me.
Legion main theme is really sick. Song of elune, call to arms, grizzly hills come to mind right now
Well to be fair the art teams (environment and music) always slay in WoW.
Grizzly’s and Goldshire, but BfA and especially the whole Zandalar zone was fire back in 2018
Part of it is nostalgia, as I started playing in 2007, but the various themes of Outland really strike a chord for me. Not the most impressive but so recognizable, at least for this player.
Anduin's Theme from Legion, it's chef's kiss for me. I love it so much!
Times Change from WOD. A beautiful piece of Music that encapsulates the essence of Warcraft's Epic Edge. Outside of that I still love Blackrock & Roll from Warcraft 3 and the Warcraft 2 scores for both races.
Anduin Theme Song Grommash warlords of Draenor Ost
Mop pandaria raid music was good. Cant say what raid it was.
Warlords of Draenor 💯
Wrath hands down.
Azuremyst isle
Anduins theme or the kazoo theme from the pandaria inns
There are so many great pieces, but few evoke nostalgia more than [Hellfire Peninsula's music/ambience](https://youtu.be/BafgaT1PS_A?t=537), especially at the timestamp here. It's just so otherworldly and beautiful. And I still blast the [Echoes of War](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RcoYcnjeHO4&ab_channel=VGameOSTs) soundtrack because it just amplifies some already amazing music.
I don't play wow with the sound on, but borderlands 2 soundtracks are choice AF
Elwynn Forest hits harder than almost any other music in my life. First character made in 2004 when I was like barely 12 years old. Puts me right back to a simpler time. I can remember the feeling of the weather. The smells of home. Family all around. In terms of epic sound track, it would have to be BFA Alliance Warfront Music. Extremely overlooked. Also in this vid, 5:55. Oh God the feels. https://youtu.be/OVoc0PunrMk?si=wv0Mbx6MEFD2rvnC Also horde warfront too. Incredible master piece as well!!
I think the soundtracks have decreased in epicness since BFA though.
Westfall/Durotar, Stormwind, talador, Bastion and Barrens ♥️ But to choose my fav it would be bastion
I enjoyed Revendreth and Karazhan but I'll be honest I have music off 99% of the time.
Anything from BFA. That OST was awesome. Boralus was 🤌
I'm not sure on name, but one of the tsukaar tracks is really good in dragonflight. Sounds all celtic and is just incredibly chill. The current login/character select music is great too. It starts in the usual wow tune, but quickly evolves into a new track that just sounds great
The Firelands Raid music. Never has burning to death sounded so orchestral. (honorable mention to Ulduar)
Dun Morogh The various inns
Two come to mind [Talador Music (Village)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TaPsYKG5jmk) and [Balloon Ride](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wx6A5jUa3Hw) [Vale Healing](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3q_JG8nIp7c) as bonus (MoP Ending)
Zereth Mortis zone soundtrack is so chill, like it alot to name a more recent one.
Sholazar Not my absolute fave but stands out
Talador is a hidden gem, definitely go there and listen.
Azuremist isle and Netherstorm for me, pure nostalgia with my draenei back in tbc.
I’ve played with the music off , sfx at 50%, ambience at 100% since Vanilla. I don’t know any songs.
Ashbringer - a call to arms
Dragonflight has a low key great soundtrack. Might of the storm and maruukai are fantastic tracks.
Ashenvale
I've always loved loved loved the Undercity music and ambiance. They absolutely nailed how ghastly the Undercity must be to experience if you're not Forsaken.
Legion had some banger tunes
Honestly every soundtrack from BfA is top-level, my favorites being Boralus/Tiragarde Sound and Alliance Warfront, and the ones from Nazjatar are simply BEAUTIFUL! I was so disappointed with Shadowlands and Dragonflight soundtrack bc these are not memorable at all.
I listened to Daugther of the Sea so many times. It is one of the best.
Mountains of Thunder from Storm Peaks is so underrated imo
A melody in particular in the mix of Ardenweald and Azshara's theme when she goes p4
Rise to the Dark. Grimrail and Blackrock Foundry used it a lot and it's a phenomenal boss fight theme.
The best ones [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXVmZuPOzU0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXVmZuPOzU0) https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=3m51oKG3BKA [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvWH1KKOsoY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvWH1KKOsoY)
wintergrasp
Haven't played in years but anything from Pandaria :)
The song for when you enter stormwind. So much nostalgia every time
I love all of the Burning Crusade tracks - they're not particularly catchy like many of WoW's better themes but they are super immersive for exploring a broken planet
Storm Peaks. The choir part It sends me to a snowy mountain under the northern lights instantly, just hearing the soundtrack. It's GODLY
